Talend Data Integration is used across our organization. We perform Extract, Transform, and Load using Talend. We integrate various systems such as Oracle Database, Clarify, Salesforce, Sugar CRM, SQL DB, MQ, Stibo Step, FTP, Netezza, and Files using Talend Data Integration. We also migrate a lot of data between the system on a one-time basis.
  • The speed of migration is very good for a Free ETL tool.
  • The amount of components or connectors we have is impressive.
  • Talend Data Integration is not high available in the free version.
  • Talend support for sub-7 version on the latest MacBooks is not good.
Talend Data Integration is easy to use and learn. Talend Data Integration can perform bulk data migrations of up to a few million records without any issues. We have not tried it or had use case which required more than a few million records at a time. It works particularly well with databases and CRM software.

  • Talend has a great positive impact on our work.
  • We have done tens of migrations and integrations using Talend.
Talend is the best for ETL out of all the other products we looked at. Of course, it is not meant for synchronous services. But, batch jobs that we schedule and run on bulk data are the best fit for Talend Data Integration. Though Talend does not provide a preview of transformed data like SnapLogic, it is very efficient in data processing and transformation.
We have not purchased the licensed version of Talend Data Integration. That would have given us high availability and Cloud support we needed. The only support we have is a free online community on Talend Data Integration. It is very good and we often time find the answer to our questions fast and easily.
  • Data migrations.
  • Data integrations.
  • Mapping a large number of fields that do not have the same names on the source and target system.
  • Cleaning up fields in metadata is sometimes messy. Talend blanks out.
We use Talend Data Integration day in and day out. It is the best and easiest tool to jump on to and use. We can build a basic integration super-fast. We could build basic integrations as fast as within the hour. It is also easy to build transformations and use Java to perform some operations.
