Talkwalker is currently being used by our Creative and Marketing teams. More specifically, our company uses Talkwalker for monitoring brand mentions and backlinks coming in from all across the internet. It addresses the main brand monitoring problem that our company has: it's difficult to know what other influencers and websites are saying about your brand without effective listening software.
  • Its email updates are convenient.
  • Your query can be very specific.
  • It has an unlimited amount of variations, even in the free version.
  • It does not catch everything.
  • Ineffective in certain cases.
  • Not very user-friendly.
Talkwalker is especially well-suited for SEO newcomers whose main purpose is to get a general idea of what people are saying about them around the world and across the internet. Talkwalker is not very appropriate for more advanced SEO, particularly those who wish to capture upwards of 80% of brand mentions and backlinks.

The main business functions that Talkwalker applies to are the following: SEO, Paid Advertising, Content Syndication, and Copywriting. For being free, this is one of the best options out there. Listening software can get expensive very quickly, but this option is a great option for companies that aren't ready to commit to a monthly cost.
Talkwalker only stacks up against these other paid products in one sense: It is the only free tool with any degree of functionality. If you need a more accurate and precise listening tool, Talkwalker isn't the best option. However, if you aren't ready to take on a monthly expense, Talkwalker is a great product.
NUVI, SEMRush, Mention
Talkwalker gets the job done at a basic level. It performs regular indexing of existing webpages and tracks the instances in which a particular brand or company is mentioned. Especially for being free, this is an awesome resource. However, it should be said that this product does not perform nearly at the level of the paid options.
Overall, I would say this product is fairly easy to integrate. In our particular case, we didn't need to set up many integrations. We did attempt to sync this product up with our other listening tools, such as Google Alerts, BuzzStream, and Mention, with a certain degree of success.
