Tango Card has been widely used by users to incentivize their sales teams and reward clients. The software's ease of use, combined with a wide range of companies to choose from, has made it a popular choice for these purposes. Additionally, Preferred Patron Loyalty integrates Tango Card as a digital rewards option for their merchants, enabling them to offer rewards from major brands. This integration has been well-received by loyalty members, who appreciate the instant gratification of cashing in their points for Tango Cards.

The Tango Card API is considered reliable and effective by users. It has proved to be a valuable tool for a consumer panel platform, where panelists can redeem their points for Tango Cards. The software's hands-off nature and intuitive interface have also been praised, as they save valuable time in administration tasks. However, some users have reported issues with expired cards and difficulties accessing funds, which have led to frustrations. Despite this, Tango Card has proven itself over the years as a trustworthy platform for rewarding customers and survey respondents across various industries and countries. The flexibility to provide incentives without fees and in multiple currencies has streamlined the process for many users, saving costs along the way.

In addition to sales teams and customer panels, Tango Card has found its place in other industries as well. Health and well-being courses now use Tango Card as an incentive for completing their programs, replacing physical gift cards. The software has also proven effective in increasing survey response rates by offering gift card incentives, addressing the problem of low response rates due to survey fatigue. It has become the go-to solution for a financial organization's e-gift card needs, serving as a one-stop provider for their bank's e-cards. Furthermore, employees participating in an employee recognition program benefit from using Tango Card as their chosen payment card provider, which allows them to transfer their balance into various forms of recognition.

While many users have had positive experiences with Tango Card, there have been some reported issues with expiration dates on claim codes and balances. Unfortunately, attempts to address these problems have not always resulted in satisfactory customer service responses. Despite these challenges, the overall feedback from users highlights the usefulness and value of Tango Card in streamlining incentive programs, saving time, and offering a wide range of rewards options.

We use Tango as our digital rewards management provider connected to our online consumer panel platform (through FocusVision Kinesis Panel). Using Tango's API our panelists redeem points earned for projects on our platform towards a Tango Card that is redeemable wherever they want. It's being used only for 1 consumer panel managed by my organization with about 18,000 users. It's very hands-off in terms of how the redemptions work so that is a great thing not to have to worry about. Since it works well enough to not need user support and is intuitive enough for the non tech-savvy it saved me a lot of time in administering.
  • Rewards Genius backend is well organized and easy to start campaigns or run reports.
  • Onboarding was relatively pain-free.
  • The initial setup of the API with all the ACH info was a bit complicated.
  • The only speedbump (not big concern) is the branding of a Tango Card - when saying that to recipients, they don't "get it" immediately and some quick-to-judgement folks can say they don't want it.
Having had the exact same setup with Giftbit's API, Tango Card is very well suited to be your online rewards mall provider to a consumer community. It also functions well for manual campaigns where you need to send a batch of people a set amount of incentives. Cannot immediately think of flaws or situations where I wouldn't recommend using it.
  • Positive: Since its redemption process works so well in my case, it's less time that I have to spend providing support to users who cannot redeem their online gift.
Comparatively, Tango Card is far superior to Giftbit in my use case (i.e. API connected to online community platform). Largely due to it works for the end user (the recipient of the reward) much more simply and it is stress-free. With Giftbit, I had tons of users who never got their rewards and complained to me. By nature of Giftbit's business model (their revenue is based on unclaimed gifts that hit a redemption period) it makes me feel like they like that it doesn't work. For unclaimed expired rewards, they take half and the customer (me) gets the other half... but the time that it takes to make that right with a user dwarfs that 50% I get back so it defeats the purpose. Tango Card just works better functionally so you don't have to worry about all the rest.
Giving it a 9 only because I haven't been using it for more than 6 months but that said, I've had enough projects and redemptions to get a full understanding of its performance. TANGO CARD just works better than the rest for the redemption experience for the end recipient.
  • Creating a gift campaign manually.
  • Being onboarded by the team.
  • Tango Card's legal took awhile with the NDA and Enterprise Agreement but par for the course.
Yes, but I don't use it
No issues to report = 10. I cannot think of simpler usability in this category.
