We use TargetBay to handle customer reviews, email marketing to our existing customer base, and some pay per click ad campaigns. I am the one who primarily works with TargetBay. Selling online gets tougher and more competitive each year. To succeed, an organization needs a strong marketing plan and implementation. TargetBay has been a strong partner in allowing Sign Art to stay in front of our customer base and also helped us attract new customers with the PPC advertising.
  • Email marketing. We all know we need to do it. But writing the copy each week and getting it sent is like the last thing on my list. I work with Danielle at TargetBay. She takes my ideas and puts together these great emails for my approval and then she takes care of getting them sent.
  • PPC ads. We have extensive and long-term experience with Google Ads. TargetBay offers avenues that Google doesn't offer. I work with the TargetBay team and they create the ads and make it happen.
  • Good Scorecard that is easy to see my results from email marketing, reviews and PPC.
  • I can't say enough about the TargetBay team. I work with Danielle on everything TargetBay related. She is responsive, smart, and has been quick to understand our business.
  • There is always room for improvement, however, I find Target Bay to be cost effective.
If you want to use email to market to your customer base and you don't want to handle the weekly chore of creating and sending the emails, then TargetBay and in particular, Danielle is the way to go. If you are not interested in email marketing or you can take care of that in-house, then there may be better choices to handle your reviews. It is rare today to find a company as responsive and easy to work with as TargetBay.

Our organization is currently using TargetBay to help collect email addresses by way of pop-ups, track some website usage, and for sending automated abandoned cart emails. Our website platform did not offer a built-in automated abandoned cart feature that could be modified or edited to fit our needs. TargetBay solved that problem for us.
  • TargetBay has amazing chat support.
  • TargetBay has a great onboarding process.
  • TargetBay is very affordable compared to other programs that offer similar solutions.
  • Once you are on-boarded and set everything up initially, they do not continue to manage your account well.
  • Presales will sell you on how "they" do a lot for you. This ends up not being the case. A lot of the weight and heavy lifting is still dependent on the user.
  • There is no way to easily manager your own users. If you want to add or remove users from your account, you are required to contact someone at TargetBay.
TargetBay is perfect for users who need a platform that offers automated abandoned cart emails and/or pop-ups on your website to incentive users to provide their email address. TargetBay integrates well with most commonly used website platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, and Volusion. TargetBay is not well suited for the user who is not tech-savvy and/or who is not familiar with already fairly familiar "automated" emails and processes.
If I could rate their chat support separately than their phone support, I would rate their chat support at an 8 or 9. Their chat support team, when online, can usually answer most any questions quickly and clearly. If they can't find the answer right away, they always follow up with an email providing you the help/assistance you need. However, their phone support is another story. I would rate the phone support a 4. Most of the times, while not all of the time, that we've had to talk with someone on the phone, we typically are left with more questions and/or not the answer we were looking for. I think this may be partially due to the language barrier, but either way it has pushed us to want to only use that chat option for support which, unfortunately, is more time-consuming.
