Speeds up ETL development but concerned about future direction
We really did not look at any other products. We had already heard of SolarWinds Task Factory previously. We hired Pragmatic Works for a consulting project and they owned the product at that time and implemented it in-house.

Task Factory Speeds Development
COZYROC has a few more connectors, but Task Factory's focus on tasks is a better overall fit for us. ZappySys had some compelling features around web services which seemed a bit more robust, but that was not our primary interest at the time of purchase. Basically, all of these sets have similar features, but some are complementary. Depending on your ETL needs, more than one such product may be required.

Task Factory is more than just components. It is more than just monitoring. It is an entire suite of tools for SSIS package development. And this is not a case of someone going wide but not going deep. Task Factory by Sentry One (formerly of Pragmatic Works) goes wide and deep. Task Factory: great for saving time !
We wanted more ways to connect with other sources and Task Factory offer the best suited solution.
Task Factory was also easier to integrate with our actual code base and was cheaper than the alternative. We were very satisfied with our choice and we recommend Task Factory to anybody who wants to save code

Task Factory great for connecting to external sources
ZappySys is an alternative provider that we tested. However, we found the ease of use, set up and installation to be much simplier and quicker using Task Factory. ZappySys has a number of the same connectors but are more difficult to setup and the GUI is not as intuitive and simple to use.

Task Factory Makes ETL Development Easier
When we were doing research on if Task Factory was a viable option for us, we found that the large array of tasks that it offers and the low cost of all of it was much better than the competition. We found that we would have to buy a culmination of tools just to pull together what Task Factory has under one roof.

A complete package of additional tasks for SSIS
No other product was considered because we knew we were safe with this product even when it was still Pragmatic Works (now Sentry One). Before using this product, we downloaded additional third-party tasks, some freeware, but a complete package like the one offered by sentry one is not very easy and above all remains reliable over the years.

Good for any non trivial SSIS project
We have not considered other products.
CData Software was evaluated initially, and while we chose to go with Task Factory initially due to cost and simplicity, in the end we had to purchase CData's product anyway when Task Factory was not updated to work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 v. 9 for months after it was released to production.
