What is Textedly?

Textedly is an SMS marketing platform providing capabilities, such as:

Mass Group Texting - Sending mass group text messages with a web-based interface, the user blast out a mass text message to all subscribers in a matter of seconds.

Text Keyword - Anyone with a mobile phone can sign up text marketing and notification campaigns by texting a custom Keyword to any phone number.

Schedule a Text - A built in calendar feature to schedule a single text message, or mass group text messages to go out on any future date and time.

Auto Reply Texts - As soon as a new subscriber texts a Keyword to an associated phone number, they will get an automatic text reply in a matter of 3-5 seconds.

Two Way SMS - Textedly provides an Inbox feature that allows subscribers to send a text reply back.

Automatic Replies - Respond to subscribers who send an Inbound text message. Works like an email out of office responder, but for text messaging, and can be set indefinitely, or scheduled to start and stop on days and times preferred.

Voice Services - Turn any Toll-Free number, or Long Code number into a voice call center, for when sending text messages from a dedicated Textedly phone number, to let subscribers know that they can call back on that number.

Personalization - Address subscribers by name by automatically inserting the first names of subscribers into mass group text.

I have used Textedly for several years. But recently, in my opinion their commitment to customers and customer service has dramatically declined. They made recent updates to their platform and dramatically increased prices without contacting existing customers. The price of my existing plan increased a significant amount. I have requested that the messages I have purchased be made available to my business and they will not release them until a certain date. When I contacted customer support and ask for resolution, the staff do not answer my questions or offer alternative solutions. I have requested that my account be closed and a refund of the 11 months that I have not used. They will not work with me and only offer that I pay for a higher priced plan or purchase additional messages at a very, very high rate. Please do not use this company. They are no longer considering the needs of customers that have been with them for several years.

From my experience, their customer service has been disappointing. They have not been willing to work with me and my needs. When pricing was significantly increased, I was not informed of this in advance. It simply increased and I discovered it by accident while reviewing my subscription.
When I ask questions to customer service, the questions are not all answered. They do not come back with alternative suggestions for me and my subscription. They are not rude but only provide standard "answers" that it appears they have been coached to give.

I use Textedly to send alerts to our staff and contractors regarding staff training, office closures due to weather, holiday greetings, and even a "Welcome to Mountain Area Community Services, Inc.!" text for our new employees. This is one way that everyone can be alerted at once - it saves time and everyone gets the same message.

  • When I delete someone from the system because they have left the company, I'd like to see them actually DELETED from textedly.
In my opinion, this program would be well suited for any business that wants to keep its employees engaged. It gives almost a personal touch to let them know about alerts, company activities, office closures, etc.

We use Textedly to keep in touch and market to prospective and existing clients. In the past, we did this through email or individual SMS messages, but with Textedly we can now fire off messages to targeted groups very quickly and easily.

We looked at a lot of different text messaging services and Textedly was the most flexible with the most generous messaging limits.

  • Textedly has freed up a lot of my time previously sending out individual messages to different contacts. With the built-in client database and the ability to quickly send off mass messages, I now have more time to focus on the areas of my business I'd been neglecting.

We use Textedly to push out information about food distributions we are having in our service area. Before we had relied solely on social media to distribute this information but this has always been hit or miss based on the algorithm. With Textedly we can send a schedule to anyone that signs up for the service and give quick updates on any changes or cancellations.

Textedly Is great for getting information out immediately to those that subscribe without this product you’re reliant on platforms that may not be seen by clients. This application circumvents any issues that you might have with using products that have an algorithm that determines what is seen. This has been so useful to our business, I wish we had been using it sooner.
