Used for assessments and exams with PDF' in a locked down Google workspace environment. This works well with how the Google exam accounts are locked down but still need the option of a text to speech function. We also have the Orbitnote app available for the students using their regular accounts and this also works well in the classroom

Read&Write is particularly well suited for exams with the text to speech function.
In addition the document review features such as spell check and grammar check are very powerful and refined.
With training it can be very powerful for students however I sometimes feel that the toolbar itself is not very intuitive and students sometimes struggle to self learn how to use the tool.

It's great for kids with hidden disabilities. Having a screen reading tool helps eliminate reading anxiety for kids with dyslexia. When they know they have access to a tool to help them gain access to information they are more engaged.

The word prediction doesn't work well for kids with articulation issues and there are areas of improvement for low vision users.

Read&Write is well suited as it allows all students, no matter their ability, to complete work on a level playing field.
It will read any text no matter how big or small.
Screen masking ensures that students with the low processing speeds or sight struggles can access the same work as anyone else.

I have found it benefit all students in their approach to literacy. By teaching all students, who have one to one access to a device, it allows the student greater independence in their learning. It also breaks down SEND stigmas, with all students using the tools as and when needed.
Some tools require headphones which can prove difficult in some schools due to funding. So using the audible in a whole class context can prove harder.

Read&Write is an ideal tool for the classroom and home use. It gives pupils greater independence and consequently, they are less reliant on staff support. The program can be used in exams and most importantly the GCSE English Reading paper. Without Read&Write, pupils would be disadvantaged from their peers as a human reader is not allowed.

As the ICT support team the software is extremely easy for us to install across out whole site and give access to those users who need it most. It is easy in its functionality and users are able to pick up its use quickly with little support which makes it a must for ensuring our students are disadvantaged in a classroom

Read&Write is specifically well suited for the upper elementary through high school classroom. The Check It tool, screen masking, and highlighting and collecting tools are invaluable to our diverse learners as they struggle to take notes, synthesize information, read, and dictate. It is less appropriate for K-3 students as they tend to have less need for the features.

Read&Write is a top-notch accessibility feature. It is easy to use across all ages and can be implemented in many different ways. It is best used with individuals requiring reading & writing support, but it is also an excellent tool to use with all students!

Read&Write is great for students that struggle with reading and studying. It really helps with comprehension and information retention. It does struggle to keep up with the rigors or writing at the post secondary level. Spell check lacks the ability to check grammar.

I prefer Read&Write based on its ease of use for students compared to other tools. Having so many tools in one place that work across multiple environments is invaluable. I also appreciate the constant improvements such as language profiles and the Orbitnote ORC scanner etc..

Very well suited for our older students (secondary). Also very well suited for many elementary students, in different ways! The tools in which would be used at different levels vary on age and on need and purpose.

I've used and tested many assistive technology tools for decades and Read&Write is easy to use, easy to train users to use, and has enough of a variety of tools to allow users with a variety of learning disabilities and needs to find a tool that works for them. As a teacher, the fact that students can independently use these tools to complete assignments in class is great.

The tool is easy to deploy across all staff and student accounts. It is truly a universal design solution offering various levels of support on demand. Teachers can expect students to access the tools independently with very little instruction.

Read&Write 4GC is a versatile tool for supporting learning for all students with a UDL lens. It is an invaluable tool for our French immersion students to build language understanding. The tools can be overwhelming for students who have cognitive challenges who require more writing support (e.g. word banks, sentence choicesP.

Read&Write is the perfect solution for students to use to meet the reading aloud assignments and exams for their IEP & 504 paperwork. It allows the students to practice when it is convenient for them, not just when the teacher and/or aide is available to help. It also provides specific assistance during other assignments.

This tool is a g great support for providing both access and allowing students to have more ways to show what they know. The support with read aloud, pictures, and glossaries, can be a difference maker for students that need support. It has also supported our students as they work to improve their writing skills. It will be interesting to see how AI continues to influence our work.

Read&Write is an excellent tool for use in school. Regardless of the grade level, it can easily be used by any student. Teachers can also benefit from using the tools to increase the efficiency of their prep. It can be used to start basic reading and writing tasks, or for researching in high school.

I have students that comprehend text but their decoding is not at grade level. They are able to listen to texts. This allows students to "read" grade level texts and enjoy reading. Students that have difficulty with spelling are able to use Word Prediction and Talk and Type. It gives them confidencde to try working independently.

Read&Write is the best software I would recommend to any district. I've recommended and argued against spending money in [...] to 100s of companies. Read&Write is the only one I put a hard foot down; it is the one product I have always insisted on. The ties to SBA are incredible; this is also an area which I've created the connection to for my district. Again, I worry what happens starting next year.
