Raiser's Edge

I have very rarely not been fully satisfied with Raiser's Edge's functionality.

i think that this is the best CRM with the most functionality - it can capture a lot of info about the constituents, their donations and other ways they are connected to the organization.

It’s a little on the expensive side however worth the price. Blackbaud allows for add ons like NXT and user friendly donor website forms however the database is a little outdated. Target analytics though allow you to track donor giving capacity and makes it easy to prepare for the ask.

It's literally one of the simplest systems I've ever had to manage.

it does lots of things well (prospect tracking and event management), some things FANTASTIC (gift records and donations and relationships). It is rigid enough for the database administrator to maintain good clean data, but flexible enought for customization across organizations so specific data can be kept as needed for YOUR specific organization needs.

The system was very well-designed. It is easy to use and most of the areas within the system are very intuitive. If you navigate the system and use the various record types the tabular interface makes it very simple.

For too many tasks, we get the work done using RE but despite RE, not because of RE. We do a lot of settling here (Well, I really wanted X but all I could get was Y so that will have to do)

With the proper training and administration, it would be a 9 or 10. Without the resources to invest in it, it could be a 1 or 2. We were middle of the road. I knew enough to be dangerous.

There are some areas where usability is quite high and other areas where it is quite low. I would not encourage or discourage someone to purchase the product based on "usability" alone.
