This really essentially keeps a business ahead of its competitors and detects up and coming competition. You can submit ad violations with ease if you were just doing it yourself. It also features hourly crawling which is invaluable in today's internet landscape for online businesses. This really helps a company get better paid search results.

It would be less appropriate for businesses that cannot afford its services. I believe that almost any company can benefit from this but it needs to make sense financially. It is really well suited for mid-large businesses who want to target consumers through search engines and wants to stay ahead of competitors and see what keyphrases and words that they are using to better suit your content.

Search Monitor made more sense with the crawling and violations submission process. It was easier to use on all types of devices compared to Klue and the data is easier to digest compared to the trial of Klue. Overall, it has more features that are useful and the price is better suited.

It's been used as part of the strategy building activities for different clients at the marketing agency. We were using it to see competitors performance on the keywords we were bidding on. It was giving quite a good overview of any specific period we chose. The information gave us insights on how we should improve our bidding strategies in order to get a bigger market share. Also, the dashboard of the Search Monitor as a whole was very helpful. Our company was paying for a specific amount of keywords, which we could add to our profile and see some insights on them. We were doing this for our biggest clients back then.

  • The payment plan for a number of keywords is a bit restricting.
It's well suited when it comes to analysis of competition, as well as ad copy improvement. It's good with page recommendations, keywords analytics and backlinking management. It might be not the best tool for keeping data all in one place and task management.

  • Positive on the side of getting information for our clients
  • Restricted by the number of keywords. We ran out of the allowed volumes and couldn't use it for all clients we had.
Search monitor gives better visibility on what competitors are doing for a bulk of keywords, while SEMRush lets you just see how strong the competition is for a specific domain/keyword.
