we use ThoughtSpot as our main dashboard and analytical tool. The main business problem was that most of our analyst team is non-technical but have great expertise in domain knowledge. There was also constrained of the data engineering team and – boarding team not understanding the domain and providing dashboard and analysis Which were time consuming, resource, heavy and not very useful to the analyst team. Hence, we built a use case across operational efficiency, resource management, as well as the use of technology technology to get insights, especially the AI, analytical part of ThoughtSpot. This allows non-technical analyst as well as the account managers to directly create stories and insights which are useful to the client in a quick and easy way.
  • Dashboarding for non-tech people
  • Easy Search of data
  • Ease of getting insights
  • AI driven Analytics
  • Easy to build charts
  • UI
  • Integration with Microsoft products
ThoughtSpot is really useful. If you have domain experts who lack technical abilities and you need them to get to insights and stories real quick. It is not useful when you have large data engineering teams who have the practical knowledge of the domain or the data. Scientist do have the domain knowledge as the product is expensive

  • Reducing of client churn
  • Decrease in workload of the team
I believe coming up with data is really quick within ThoughtSpot and the teams are able to get into the insights and the stories they are trying to build.
it is almost hundred% accurate. The new sage sometimes get confused about certain terms when it’s newly searched but it’s easy to train the models and give feedback
It has been really beneficial to both our teams as well as to our clients and now we have a solution which doesn’t require a lot of technical expertise to build at the domain. Experts can quickly get into the insights and knowledge they have and build stories from it
ThoughtSpot has been great for us to utilise our cloud data warehouse, especially for non-tech team as they always required someone with a knowledge of sequel and cloud architecture to go into the cloud base database to access it and export the data and excel but now we thought they could do everything in ThoughtSpot on its own, without the need of any data engineer

In my organization we use ThoughtSpot to create management dashboards and reports. They include financial- and non financial KPI's.
This product improved the quality of our reports and dashboards. It's flexible and easy to use.
The main problem that we had with other software was the fact that we have multiple sources/databases. ThoughtSpot is able to link them al together but is still easy to use. Great product and easy to use.
  • Combine multiple sources / databases
  • Click and play / drag and drop -> ease to use
  • Cloud based so always available
  • Possible to work at the same time with multiple users
  • Quick and easy learning
  • More training video's for beginners
  • Example or standard reports to show what's possible
[ThoughtSpot is] easy to use. Lot's of possible thing you can do.
No problems combining multiple sources and/or databases.
Great performance.

  • Saved lots of money bacause we now have 1 product for all reports.
  • Saves time because easy to use.
  • You need to spend some time on training and building things.
Depending on the user but I would say it takes a few weeks/month to get up to speed.
It's easy to use and very user friendly.
With some help you are able to adjust and do things yourself in about an hour.
The lay-out is great and buttons make sense.
ThoughtSpot is able to combine multiple sources/databases. Next to that you are able to make the report or lay-out the way you want.
That makes it flexible and easy the create the overview you want. This way it's easy to answer the data questions as they promise. Great product.
There are a few things that can be improved.
For now you still need some support to get started. Would be nice to see a product that's so easy to use, that you can get started without any help. Maybe also include a tutorial to get people started even quicker.
It has improved it and enabled the possibility to combine sources/databases.
ThoughtSpot has more possibilities, is easier to use and can combine much more info to get the report you want.
Also, because you can replace other software, it's cheaper.

It's being used by one department to support many business units. The goal is to better understand when is the best time to contact customers for purchasing. This proves to be a bit difficult as it challenges you as a data analyst to choose the right input data for the software to ingest.
  • The interface is pleasing. Makes you feel like you have access to some future tech software you would see in a Bond film or something.
  • Their customer service has been top notch as far as I can tell.
  • When there are questions they are quick to respond or reach out to colleagues that might better know.
  • Better communicating the limitations of the software. It's not valuable to me to know that it's a sign of success that "purchased" is included in the data set for successful transactions.
  • Giving direction on data cleanliness could be improved.
Even though I am not in the contract discussions or know pricing, my understanding is that it is a very expensive product. I'm not certain we are ready to extract the value we should out of this relationship, yet. I believe that by improving our data set by including real-time data instead of just historic we could potentially be better at utilizing this product.

  • If I'm honest, I'm not aware of any positive impact delivered to date yet. It's very experimental at this stage but we have a few things going to market now.
Since we have had very few users trained or given access to the software, I would say it is going to take awhile. You have to have such a commanding understanding of our internal BI architecture, to begin with, and really know what the correct signals for success really are that it's proven difficult to just sit down and extract value from it.
I've been frustrated more than not on the output results but I blame our data more than anything. Repeated values are rampant in different values so the software has a habit of just relating those values instead of finding the ones that matter.
I think there is potential but I/We are not ready to extract it from my experience. We do have one colleague that is leaps and bounds above the rest of us but he is generally hamstrung with the business problem not aligning with the data set available.
No, we have too many tools to start this on another one.
Not as great on visualization or addressability but overall better.
