TIBCO BusinessEvents - Enterprise Level Rule Engine and Event Hub
We used TIBCO BW so as successor, we start using TIBCO BE. We use also EMS for our messaging bus, and ActiveSpaces as large in-memory data cache, and Spotfire gives us to present and visualize the analyzed data.

TIBCO BusinessEvents Review
I was not part of evaluation of the products in this space in my organization. But I feel BE is better in terms of RIO if compared with some commercial products from Orcle, IBM and SAP.
I strongly feel difficulty in using cloud native features is one big shortcoming in current product offering. This will tend customer like us to explore options that are well suited with ur cloud first vision.

TIBCO BusinessEvents as CEP solution for complex problems
Drools is an open source alternative for CEP solutions, that provides a business rules engine. Unfortunately it comes without support, while the TIBCO support for BusinessEvents is very efficient.
Additionally, TIBCO BusinessEvents suite provides several additional components that could satisfy many requirements, and it can be integrated with existing TIBCO stack, giving great interoperability with other TIBCO products. As well as could be used in stand alone way.

BE has been a great tool. But our company is moving to AWS and not moving current TIBCO solutions to the cloud.

BE isn't really worth it
- Spring, Java and Drools
These tools are all far better than BE in terms of flexibility and ability to scale with the right architecture and best practices. The wealth of resources available for open source and widely used technologies means that onboarding is so much easier than with any of the TIBCO stack. Deployment of applications is far simpler, and with that comes testing and debugging benefits.

TIBCO BusinessEvents- Processing rules faster
You need a full orchestration suite to perform pre-enrollment checks before storing [them] into the system of records. TIBCO BusinessEvents was bought along with TIBCO BusinessWorks (BW) to design the end to end flow for member contract processing. We were able to get down the processing time to 12 seconds and were also able to increase the first pass rate.
