Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

the performance heavily relies on hardware in the middle that can scale high to address the demands of cpu, memory, and cache performance. this isn't always clear or easily predictable for how high or at chat cost this needs to be to address a given workload and xan ebb and flow rather quickly.

Transportation model is created based on TIBCO data visualization where I can work on complex data with big size files with lesser time and it gives better representation which can be interpreted by newly emplyeed people and analysis can be dat from transportation model easily by exporting data with different cuts.

TIBCO Data Virtualization performs well when it works with smaller volumes of data.
TIBCO Data Virtualization struggles when plugged with high volume data sources.
TIBCO Data Virtualization worked well when integrated with TIBCO Spotfire as analytics tool, however it performed very slow when integrated with Power BI.

Good:
  • Merging data from multiple sources is easy.
  • we can publish the tables/procedures as API with just click of a button.

Can Improve:
  • Tibco has cluster configuration but it needs minimum of 3+ nodes to take good advantage of nodes. In a 2 node configuration, only one of the nodes take up most of the load.
  • The Development environment(IDE) can improve a lot.

TIBCO DV struggles in query execution predictability, as and when the complexity rises within the logical layers involved in bringing large data sets together. We used it extensively for critical daily reporting, wherein we have had numerous performance issues (and some missed SLO's). This has resulted in rethink of our toolset, if this is the right candidate for DV.

This product's performance is very consistent. It is extremely rare for templates to fail. I've been using this software for 5 years and find it to be both simple and powerful. The impact within the company has been very positive as different processes in different areas, such as data analysis, development, and integrations, have been improved, and, best of all, it has not affected the users. Various systems with which it is connected in order to obtain information.

The performance of this product is very consistent. It is very uncommon for templates to break. I have been using this software for 5 years now and it is very easy to use while also being very powerful. I know what to expect when I use it every time. It is great.

It really is a product with excellent performance, the impact within the company has been very good since different processes have been improved in different areas, both data analysis, development, integrations, and best of all, it has not affected the users. Different systems with which it has connectivity to obtain the information.

TDV does integrate with a host of third-party apps such as BO/ Spotfire for reporting, Informatica for ETL, etc. However, if it can come up with its own suite of these products and combine features of TDV into a single robust Data Integration/ Analysis/ Reporting software, then it is more likely that people will want to explore the product more.

There is a learning curve to using TIBCO Data Virtualization. The built in connector for Salesforce is the tool that we used. The amount of data loaded on a monthly basis did not take much time to import into Salesforce using TIBCO.

Since TIBCO Data Virtualization is not storing any data and is directly getting data from the underlying data sources there are issues of of performance, if TIBCO Data Virtualization is not implemented in proper way. Since TIBCO Data Virtualization provides multiple solutions to overcome performance related issues like Caching, Multiple Parallel Processing , Bulk Loading Processing of data and running TIBCO DV on multiple instances. Proper use of these techniques will help to overcome the problem of Performance.

There we limited connectors available in TIBCO on the Salesforce side which led us to deal with some scenarios using Salesforce APEX. If TIBCO Data Virtualization integrates with other systems chances of slowdown depend on the application load, the number of connectors usage. If the number of logic used and connectors used are more it slows them down.

1. TIBCO Data Virtualization has great performance on traditional data sources like oracle, mssql, and hive, but for new data sources there is space for improvement like Odata
2. Transformation could be much easier in TIBCO Data Virtualization, but it's difficult to do it graphically
3. TIBCO Data Virtualization supports a cache mechanism to improve performance, so it gives an upper hand to the user
4. User management under TIBCO Data Virtualization is possible; we can put data masking according to user and user group
