- Allows for development of complex workflows with little scripting knowledge required.

- Excellent audit logging which satisfies regulatory audits
- Granular permissioning providing varying levels of access to different groups
- SEV1 issues are addressed as top priority and you will not be left alone in system-down situations until you are up and running.
- Redwood is purposefully killing the Tidal product by price gauging customers on renewals. Three to Four times increase for licensing renewals.
- Tier one support seems to have no history with the product, no knowledge of automation, and asks for unnecessary volumes of information before escalating to the REAL Tidal support team. It often takes several days before someone who actually supports Tidal sees the ticket.
- Since the acquisition, support quality has taken a nose-dive for non-critical issues. Resolution times take weeks, months, if at all. Before Redwood acquired it, resolution times took hours or days.
- Tidal (before Redwood's acquisition) has a long history of using the customers as Beta testers. New versions are released without having gone through adequate testing on systems of scale.
- This vendor forces customers to update to newest release rather than fixing bugs identified in versions which never went through and adequate QA process.

TIDAL is Best to Manage the Workload
- During the patching activity or down time all the schedulers can be stopped and jobs are halted.
- Most efficient tool in doing repetitive tasks hence It saves a lot of time with minimum possibility of error.
- Alerting mechanics is at best, It provides alerts for any falling job or if any job is taking to much time to complete or if job has been completed successfully.
- The UI can be better, Initial setup is time consuming
- More customization can be added so that it meet needs of the consumers

Tidal Automation Review
- Tidal Automation allows us to automate and schedule/ perform various tasks in a easy and effective manner. It is highly interactive and effective allowing nearly 4k -5k jobs to run a day.
- Tidal is designed to be easily shareable and collaborative allowing multiple users to work at a particular time making work effective.
- Tidal allows us to ensure that every event which is triggered is exactly when it's supposed to be regardless of other activities which are going as well.
- It is user-friendly to generate the reports required of a particular object and allows us to test the codes perfectly well before executing in live environment.
- It fluctuates when there are many URL's open in use which is time consuming as it delay to load while working.
- When there are more than 1 function to perform in an object/job it is not possible as it takes 1 function at a time.
- There are some things where we need to do it repeatedly for every n mins which can be try to resolve which sometime maybe irritating as there will other activities also going on.
- Sometimes, when there are more than 2-3 TWA open and if we select a job and try to cancel, it selects the jobs which are also selected in another tab of TWA to cancel which is a serious threat in production environment.

- One of my objectives was to find commonalities in dependencies for success or failures and that is not something that can be exported. It would be nice if that could be included.
- The new version has a dashboard but it does no work yet.
- I would like to be able to access Tidal support in between contracts, as that is a good time to explore and learn more about Tidal.

Way to go!
- Scheduled automation, hourly/daily/weekly/monthly.
- Event driven jobs, especially file events. We have applications entirely based on file arrival.
- Across platforms; jobs are kicked off sequentially between multiple environments, Windows and Linux systems.
- Would like to see Linux agents work with OpenJDK14, right now it woks with OpenJDK11.
- Improved DR solution, as of now the DR has to be cold standby.
- Improved Java Client for version 6.5.5 work with OpenJDK.

- Graphical view of what's going on in the schedule. Color coded jobs statuses, etc.
- Lots of options for event handling.
- Dependency flexibility.
- Job Grouping and grouping options.
- Still a bit slow when navigating. If you close a job you have to wait a few seconds to open another one. Even when you made no changes.
- When viewing a job and make no changes, the "ok" button changes the last modified date as if you made a change. No big deal, but wastes time when troubleshooting a problem and looking into what jobs were changed last.
- You can see the parameters column in the "job activity", but not in "Job definitions".
- Can't search the parameters field in the filter.
- Changing a variable name does not change it on the job. It still works because Tidal Automation uses the ID number. It just causes confusion when you see a variable on a job and can't find the variable under "Variables". On top of that, Tidal Automation does not show the ID column under "Variables" making it even more difficult to find the variable.

- Tidal Automation, with the creation of Calendars, schedules and processes Jobs very well.
- Tidal Automation monitors for files being present to insert a process to consume those files.
- Tidal Automation does a very good job of monitoring and acting on dependencies for jobs to be initiated.
- Tidal Automation graphically displays JobGroups very well showing the flow of Jobs in the JobGroup.
- Tidal Repository (TR) is not very intuitive.
- I wish Job Activity shoed more information about the Job as it does in the Definition area.
- The Tidal Automation GUI needs to be cleaned up, so the sort columns actually sort.
- I would like to be able to run a report that shows the version of the Tidal Agents installed on each server.
