Toast Point of Sale

Had to use Toast.

Toast has been a lot better than Aloha. The system itself is more up-to-date. Aloha was more dated. The only thing I liked more about Aloha is the Loyalty program. Aloha Loyalty worked better by keeping track of when one account had comped a product and not allowing anything else to be comped under that account until the next day or week. There currently isn't a way in Toast to track that amount of detail in a loyalty program. Its more of an "honor system"

Toast POS vs. Aloha. Aloha data metrics were not as complete and comprehensive as Toast. Toast Software and hardware are more unreliable and not as durable as the Aloha POS system.

The user interface is where it's at with Toast POS. And the fact that it's cloud-based is another selling point. We don't have to have a PC to "host" NCR Aloha, and we don't have to worry about the PC crashing or rebooting and kicking everyone off during the dinner rush. I don't think NCR integrates with anything either, its just clunky and old software. And don't get me started on support. Their support was so terrible and continues to be. I recently had to call them because of an old gift card that was in their system and I was transferred 5x and eventually was put on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. Anyhow, Toast is MUCH cheaper, and because it's cloud based, you can access it anywhere! We pay less and get so much more

Toast [Point of Sale] is an overall easier POS operating system to use from hourly employees to management to ownership.
