What is Trakstar Hire?

Trakstar Hire (formerly RecruiterBox) is a cloud-based ATS boasting a suite of features: a centralized candidate database, batch or mass communication with potential candidates via multiple channels such as email or by leveraging its integration with social networking sites (e.g. LinkedIn), instantaneous posting to multiple job boards, a customizable career page, resume parsing and bulk uploading, and customizable applications including questionnaires. Feedback sharing is facilitated by allowing recruitment team members to share info with each other on the candidate page post-interview. Database is kept clear of duplicate entries by scanning and flagging email addresses that appear in multiple entries, adding to the user-friendliness of the centralized database.

A 14-day free trial is available, and also a free version of the software which supports access for 5 users and up to 200 candidates. The modestly priced standard edition supports unlimited users along with the platform's basic functionality, and the pricier Professional edition includes EEOC compliance support, monthly data exporting, and additional report features.

Recruiterbox has proven to be a valuable tool for organizations looking to streamline their hiring process and manage a high volume of candidates. With its applicant tracking and management software, users have been able to efficiently vet and communicate with hundreds of applicants for various roles, from internship programs to full-time hires. According to users, the platform's evaluation system allows them to create customized levels of employee evaluation, ensuring that each applicant's capabilities are properly assessed and matched with suitable roles within the company. This has greatly facilitated the screening process, allowing users to quickly review resumes, request references, and schedule interviews.

Additionally, Recruiterbox keeps users informed about each applicant's progress through the recruitment process, enabling them to make accurate forecasts about their performance and identify the best prospects for their company. By managing employee pages within the platform, users have also been able to evaluate performance and identify potential replacements for underperforming staff members. This feature has been particularly valuable in optimizing the recruitment process and achieving better results for management.

One notable aspect of Recruiterbox is its ability to facilitate global hiring by enabling the hiring of roles worldwide. This has allowed companies to expand their talent pool beyond geographical boundaries. Moreover, users have found Recruiterbox helpful in publishing job postings on their website and other job boards without requiring IT involvement. The easy configuration and navigation of the platform have made it suitable for small companies that don't need advanced functionality but still want an efficient way to manage their recruitment process.

According to feedback from users, another ATS platform called Trakstar Hire has also been utilized alongside or as an alternative to Recruiterbox. This shows that different organizations may find value in different features offered by different platforms depending on their specific requirements.

In terms of customer service, users have complimented Recruiterbox on its responsive and friendly support team who promptly resolve any issues or inconveniences that may arise during the usage of the platform. Overall, these user experiences highlight Recruiterbox's effectiveness in managing the end-to-end application process, optimizing recruitment workflows, and providing valuable support to users.

Easy-to-use and customizable pipeline management: Many users have praised Recruiterbox for its excellent way of managing the pipeline of applicants in an easy-to-use and customized manner. They appreciate the ability to collect and store candidate information within the app, as well as through their work inbox.

Fully customizable job board: A significant number of reviewers liked the feature that allows them to create their own fully customized job board. This functionality enables them to have indefinite openings for different types of jobs and facilitates organizing each candidate from the beginning.

Ability to program custom workflows: Several users have highlighted the ability to program their own workflows within Recruiterbox. They find this feature useful in defining the work organization required for all recruiting processes to meet specific requirements. Additionally, they mention that this feature has resulted in improved reporting capabilities.

Limited functionality for hiring multiple people: Some users have expressed frustration with the app's limited ability to handle the hiring of multiple people for the same role and manage large numbers of applicants, limiting their efficiency and effectiveness in the hiring process.

Lack of mobile app for real-time data entry: The absence of a mobile app for real-time data entry has been seen as a drawback by users, hindering their ability to input and access information on-the-go.

Inadequate features for following up and evaluating the hiring process: Users have found the platform lacking in features that would facilitate effective follow-up with interviewers and evaluate the quality of the hiring process, making it difficult to track progress and make improvements.

  • Manage the pipeline of applicants in an easy to use, customized way
  • Manage all communications, though inside the app and through my work inbox
  • Collect and store information about candidates
  • Sometimes our email end up in the SPAM folders of our applicants
  • The app is really built for hiring just 1 person per role, but we are hiring 10+ 3x per year for the same role
  • I wish they had a mobile app for entering applicant data in real time

  • Customer Support
  • Customizable
  • Intuitive Design
  • Integrations
  • Open API
  • Once you activate a sponsored job post, it "appears" to stay live, even if the sponsorship ends. Makes it difficult to see what's live and to track spend.
  • Doesn't link with our HRIS (Paycor)
  • Wish there was a better method to create a formal application besides the questionnaire option.

  • It is possible to determine the type of interview with potential employees (face-to-face, via telephone).
  • High compatibility with other tools such as BambooHr.
  • The function of creating candidates through their profile information is very useful for us.
  • It allows job offers to be sent to pages such as LinkedIn or Twitter without supervision for their management. Its process flows are well defined, which facilitates the work.
  • Not very ergonomic design, which is a bit annoying.
  • I would like it to allow compatibility with video calling tools, allowing us to send links during the conversation.
  • It is quite annoying not to have an alphabetical order in the list of possible candidates.

  • You can create your own fully customized job board, so that you have indefinite openings for different types of jobs, and so that all interested parties can apply to meet certain openings. This is an excellent way to organize each candidate from the beginning.
  • Recruiterbox lets us program our own workflows within the platform, which are useful to better define the work organization that must be in place for all recruiting processes to meet the right requirements, and this is reflected in improved reporting.
  • The platform automatically creates analyses based on the resumes of each candidate, so that, depending on each resume, they are shown offers that are fully compatible with their type of employee and their previous work operations.
  • We like the customer service offered by Recruiterbox, which has been able to meet our employment needs in a short time and in a mostly accurate way. Thanks to this, we were able to solve the usage error we had with the platform and our current results are much more profitable in terms of analytics of recruitment operations.
  • Recruiterbox is an exemplary service in terms of usability mechanics, with an extraordinary ease of application and a deployment that allows us to work on different platforms without any usability problems or labor errors, as with most human talent services nowadays.
  • There are not enough functions at the moment to follow up the interviewers by the company, since the platform generally works with self-service and a system where they can evaluate themselves. The best for this would be that the candidate can evaluate the interviewer and the quality of the process.
  • Spreadsheets are not handled well within the platform either, which is a big disadvantage for those of us who need to use a tool to filter applicant information and be able to tag them depending on our level of interest in them.
  • The function that allows us to create hiring funnels does not allow us to include all the information of the applicants, so the level of detail of the reports, despite being high, is never large enough to allow us to choose the candidates from the first instance.

  • Easy to use and customize: Recruiterbox takes little to no training to be able to use, and it's very easy to figure out how to add postings, add steps in the recruiting process, and process through applicants.
  • Great customer service: Recruiterbox always gets back to us quickly with helpful answers that solve our issues.
  • Easy to sync with our website: We worked with our developers to make sure that our application on our site would seamlessly flow into Recruiterbox.
  • Filters on candidates and openings: Sometimes it can be confusing when filters are not turned on correctly (which is very easy to miss), which means that the wrong candidate or opening results will appear.
  • Search: Sometimes candidates won't show up in a search (based on what page you're on), but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to when they do or don't show up.
  • Multiple applications (Recruiterbox calls these "copies"): While it's helpful that a little symbol will show up next to an applicant's name if they're in the system multiple times, I think there could be a better way from a UX perspective to integrate this feature, as sometimes it can be for the same position, sometimes it can be across multiple positions, and sometimes it can be over the course of a number of years.

  • Fantastic customer service. They're thorough and fast with their response and are always willing to go the extra mile to answer your questions.
  • Frequent updates and developments with the product.
  • User-friendly layout.
  • Easy to learn and teach to hiring managers.
  • They could make it easier to integrate with other products.
  • Development of the product could be more up to date with what other ATSs offer (text recruiting, video interviews, etc.)
  • More functionality in the product.

  • The system of being able to save pre-drafted emails when contacting multiple users to request references, or interview times saves so much time.
  • Being able to see users that have applied to more than one position within your company allows screening to go more quickly.
  • Having potential new hires upload their resumes saves time in requesting them later on.
  • Sending email correspondence can be tricky, if a potential new hire then has access to your professional email address since emails are forwarded to your associated recruiterbox account. If you reply from your email and not the Recruiterbox application directly it can create confusion.

  • A very clean and easy to use interface - our team picked it up in no time at all and it has massively increased our productivity.
  • Excellent customer support - friendly, available, and knowledgeable 24/7 support.
  • Excellent ATM through the recruitment process.
  • Great "prospect' management - their widget for creating candidates from their LI profile is amazing.
  • Works "Out of the box" - you can create an integrated web page using their widgets which is professional looking and works wel.l
  • Duplicate candidates are a problem - a new candidate record is created every time someone applies for a role - which may be 20+ in our case. This means screening notes and candidate details are in multiple places.
  • Can't action more than one page of candidates at a time - so mass emailing etc is a pain.
  • Search results are poorly displayed - you can't sort them or export them.

  • There's a "social footprint" kind of feature that scrubs popular social media tools for content, and aggregates this on the candidate page for a complete view of the candidate's personal brand. That was neat.
  • The email and calendar integration was well done. Most people want simple communications (the ability to respond to a candidate from the email client on your mobile device, without the hassle of logging into a platform). The ability to discreetly communicate with the candidates, while maintaining the tags and communications thread on the candidates page was gold. It reminded me a lot of central desktop by how smartly it was executed.
  • Increasing reach by blasting the job to multiple job boards (this was included in one of the subscriptions). Great timesaver.
  • The interface isn't dazzling. But it's clean. Perhaps there's some opportunity to sexy up the UI.
  • The labeling was a bit awkward, and doesn't work so cleanly when you forward a candidate to the data store, via the application email. For example, you can add the candidate manually using the web-based UI, or you can forward an application from your email client to an email alias. Also, the conversion from email-to-"creation of candidate profile" was not entirely great. But it was close enough to get the name logged in there. You just have to properly label and format the profile later, if you want the candidate repository to be well sorted and easily searchable.
  • You cannot transfer jobs from one account to another. What I mean by this is: If you have multiple organizations within a single tenant, you can move the position within that tenant. But let's say you and a colleague signed up separately, and want to merge candidate databases and job settings. It's a no go. You'll have to do a bulk import. Which kind worked out to be an imperfect migration for us.
