TravelBank - A great expense app that is fast and simple to use
I found TravelBank by googling for expense apps. I started using it over a couple of other options and told our CFO that this was our best option. He also likes its simplicity and agreed to take on this process for expenses. Right now it is just being used by myself, one other salesperson, and the CFO. It has saved countless hours since adoption in July 2019. I wish the email submitting was easier to use through adding multiple emails, sending a copy to yourself and showing when the email was read. The app is set up well through easy access to take pics of receipts, add date, location, and type of expense. I'd like them to add more expense categories and a way to crop pictures of receipts so that the reports print out nicely for review and payment internally.

TravelBank was used across the entire organization with the main purpose of being reimbursing travel expenses.

Easy and simple
TravelBank is simple and easy to use. With a matter of a few clicks, you can easily book your travel accommodations. TravelBank will pull a list of flight options within your budget. Similarly, you can browse from a list of hotels as well. The thing I like best about booking a hotel through TravelBank is the ability to search by area. In addition, you can see what types of perks the hotel offers like gym, breakfast, etc. I highly recommend TravelBank.

An easy to use and affordable tool for expenses and travel
TravelBank is our organization's tool for managing expense reports and travel.
- TravelBank makes it very easy to upload receipts for expense reports.
- TravelBank's workflow is intuitive.
- Reviewing past expenses is a challenge. It's not easy to find them because they are considered "reports".
- Past expenses have been paid but still are labeled "pending".

No more paper receipts - get TravelBank ASAP!
TravelBank is currently being used across the whole company. Employees use the platform to track, log and submit all expenses. Some employees also use the travel booking feature, as well.
The shift to TravelBank eliminated our use of manual expense reports in the form of Excels, which were problematic due to version control, errors, inconsistencies, incomplete fields, and tracking.

- Ease of use - TravelBank is super user-friendly and easy to use whether you use the platform online or through their app.
- Ability to effectively track expense submission, approval and reimbursement process. TravelBank allows users to see exactly where their expense report is in the process.
- The scanning tool, which is meant to extract information from a photograph of the receipt, is not the best. More often than not, information is incorrect or simply not populated.
- The digital reimbursement method currently built into TravelBank is a wire transfer which means that our company incurs costs when reimbursing in this way. Therefore, we are still using paper checks to reimburse employees. We would love to see a partnership with a digital partner such as Venmo or PayPal to mitigate this.

- I wish I could get the incentives back in cash.
- I have trouble using the user interface and wish I could store my common searches easier bcecauseI usually only travel to one place.
- They need to have a better search tool. Like, if a hotel is unavailable it still needs to come up in the search bar -- not necessarily on the map or home screen, but it would help to see all options if I search because for some reason a ton of hotels that I know have open rooms do not show up.
We use TravelBank across our organization for all our flight, hotel, and car rental needs. It solves a few challenges for us: 1 - it encourages everyone to be mindful of travel expenses by encouraging us to spend less so we can get more for ourselves (gift cards) and 2 - it simplifies the accounting of our travel expenditures.

- Rewards employees for saving the company money - most programs only benefit the organization and not the individual employee
- It ties to Expensify
- Expanding the hotel offerings - they already have a huge inventory, but it would be great to have more AirBnB-like options
- I've found particularly with flights that the employee rewards are much less - I realize that is just a function of airfare costs, but it feels like most of the time I need to go over budget

My organization does not use it, but I use it for travel and have recommended it to people several times. I wish my company used it.

Amazing App for managing your Travel Expenses
My sales team currently utilizes an Excel sheet to manage their travel reimbursements. Typically, we would need to either tape the receipts to a paper and then scan the receipts to a PDF or take a picture with the phone, convert the image to a PDF, collate and then submit the receipts. With TravelBank, I take a picture of the receipts and make simple edits within the app to identify the transaction type. At the end of the month, I finalize the receipts within the TravelBank app and this creates a PDF that includes an itemized list as well as images of the receipts. I copy off the itemized list of receipts onto the Excel sheet and include the PDF to my accounting team. This app has saved me and my team considerable time when having to prepare and submit our travel expenses.

- You have to enter in the amount-- which I'm OK with doing, since other apps don't OCR the amount.
- Condense the receipts to fewer pages.
- Remember transaction types, ie Chevron should be "Gas," Chevy's should be "Meals."

TravelBank is fun to use!
Sezzle uses TravelBank for booking flights and hotel rooms for employees. We love the user interface and customer support features. We also get 4 times the points for our Brex company credit cards, which is great!!

Manage Business Expenses Without Added Expense
I started using TravelBank as I saw it a free app on the iOS device. It is used currently by me and I am encouraging others to use it due to its ease of use and convenience. It really helps me stay on top of my expenses. We were using a pretty antiquated way of completing expenses and this helps cuts all that out.

- Easy to switch between a handheld device and a computer.
- Simple reporting.
- Data recognition from receipts could be a little better.
- Having the ability to download reports in CSV or Excel format.
- Ability to change the basic layout of the reporting.

Get freedom for your business trips
I use TravelBank to book all my travel needs (2-3x/month).
- Easy to use.
- No need for reimbursements.
- Good prices.
- Sometimes prices vary a lot during the booking process.
We deployed TravelBank a few months ago for all employees to give us one central booking agency for flights and hotels, and to promote more cost-effective travel.
- TravelBank encourages employees to book lower cost flights and hotels. Employees receive half the difference between the average cost for the service and the cost the company is paying in the form of vouchers for Amazon/Airbnb etc. For example, if the average cost of a flight from SFO to JFK is $500, and the employee books a $400 flight, the employee gets $50 and the company saves $50.
- The booking experience is a little hit-and-miss. I've had problems booking multi-city itineraries, where no flights were found, even though I could see them via Google.
- Their processes could use some improvement. For example, a flight was cancelled and I received no notification from TravelBank - I just happened to open the airline's app and saw it there. When I called the airline to rebook they said they'd sent an email to TravelBank, but TravelBank didn't check it in time.

All around good product
I use TravelBank to help manage expense reports in an organization between 10 and 15 users, half of which travel on a semi-regular basis. While the application is used most by our employees in our sales department, our implementation team use the application quite a bit as well. Before TravelBank, the organization used to require employees to fill out an expense report consisting of an Excel spreadsheet and retain physical paper receipts. About 90% of the time, employees would lose receipts and reports would be incomplete. With TravelBank, employees don't have to worry about retaining paper receipts and expense reports are much more accurate.
