To organise the whole team, structure sprints and add information about open jobs.
  • Good workflow organisation
  • Good integration with other apps and software
  • good for long distance/remote collaboration
  • Better alerts for when 'offline'
  • more succinct email notifications
  • Ai integration
From personal organisation to large and complex teams working together. I have suggested Trello as a solution in multiple companies that I have worked for and it has always been easy to set up, teach and use. I like that it grows with the project too - just delving into the automations and integrations within a larger workplace and pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to achieve.

We use Trello to manage our product roadmaps and upcoming tasks in various teams. It is useful in determining the size and effort of various pieces of work and how that adds up to a release. It helps us to be flexible and collaborate both in meetings and outside of meetings.
  • Organise priorities within a project
  • Oversee capacity for a team or roadmap
  • Foster collaboration within a project with tools such as voting
  • Assign and total up associated costs for individual pieces of work
  • Automatically determine when a swimlane is over capacity
  • Create templates for different uses with pre-determined calculations such as team velocity, cost, timeframes
  • Review whether some plug-ins should be automatically included, like the epic point calculator
It is well suited to meetings with large numbers of participants where you need groups or pairs to interact with and use the board during discussions. It was well used in our company pre-pandemic, and I think it is well suited to remote or hybrid workshops. It is well suited to projects that are in a state of flux because it is very flexible.

We use Trello to plan the different steps of a project. Every column has with a specific action to do and is possible to move each task to an effective action. When it is complete you can modify the schedule and update the whole table. It is easier to coordinate in a team and also for a team leader it is simple to verify the progress of the project.
  • User-friendliness - setting up boards is simple and you can have as many as you like. You can copy them, so you can use one as a template or use one of the public example boards as a starting point.
  • Share - Boards can be shared among teams, allowing them to organize projects.
  • Easy - easiest tools to use. It can be picked in minutes and there isn’t much of a learning curve.
  • Doesn't allow you to manipulate relationships on the timeline and see how they fit together.
  • Doesn't support tasks that are time-sensitive.
  • Focused on teams and not companies.
To handle with a scrum board and also to track all the activities in a team.

I like Trello! It's quite convenient, nice that I can choose the design. I understand how to use boards, and it's easy to manage and filter tasks. I can see what my team is doing. I also like that there are a lot of integrations that make work easier.
  • Design
  • Integrations
  • Filters
  • I'd like to have a filter for all boards at once, to see all the tasks.
I believe that if you need to follow team tasks, Trello will be great, I use to-do lists for routine tasks as it's not convenient to add everything to Trello.

To execute projects through using agile Trello is used across organisation. It provides better collaboration among the team members and helps to understand visibility during standup
  • Setting up project is effortless
  • The UI is very intutive
  • Support from trello is quick for enterprise account
  • Could n't find a way to setup sprints
  • Integration with calendar and zoom could be something very helpful
  • Template for reporting overall status is missing
1) When you want set up a project quickly and start on tracking, Trello is boon
2) It's a great collaboration tool and access in many firms with minimal approval
3)The UI gives a feel and interest and fun in tracking project

The department I work for uses Trello. Specifically, we use it to track the work we do during our monthly maintenance windows where we follow a series of tasks that must be done in a specific order. We rely on it to track the changes we make as well as any issues or notes for future maintenance windows. It is a great way to have everything organized in one place and it's nice to be able to look back at previous boards to view any information that could help with any issues encountered in the current month.
  • Ability to add links, notes, and attachments to each card
  • Easy to use and get complicated tasks organized
  • Each task is easily separated into cards and each card can drill down into a checklist of subtasks to complete the main task.
  • No way to account for task dependencies
  • Some basic features are only available through power ups
  • Cannot be exported to other tools like MS Project
For small projects in a team setting, it is an excellent tool to use and I would highly recommend starting with the free version and testing it out. It is a great way to get tasks organized easily and view the full picture. In my team of five, we rely heavily on it when we have recurring projects because it is easy to grab a board and update it based on a previous one. It is also very convenient to go back to a previous board for additional information. For a larger project, it may get more complicated because you cannot see task dependencies or track times.

I use Trello to manage projects and initiatives across 40 experts in 3 disciplines in 7 offices across North America. As a shared services team, we work on more than 60 enterprise clients at a time and there are numerous, fast-moving projects in play. Trello is how we create transparency, accountability, and collaboration across our group for seamless execution at the highest caliber. Personally, I have used Trello for everything from managing my homeownership responsibilities to getting through grad school. Professionally, I use it to lead this epic group and serve our clients with excellence. Big fan!
  • Aggregating disparate pieces in one place for a central source of truth.
  • Making transparency and accountability effortless.
  • Encouraging collaboration by making it seamless.
  • More control over notifications and email digests for managers to customize reports and keep a pulse on large teams with lots of moving pieces. Constant notifications and the digest emails aren't great options so I turn them all off and have to look manually.
  • Would love more beneficial integrations to speed up getting things into Trello to begin with. The Outlook add-on is great but very glitchy, and requires a few extra steps to assign it to an individual so tickets sometimes get lost.
  • The recurring ticket features are kinda sucky. They just don't quite work as expected, they're hard to adjust the originals or cancel entirely and keep popping up so it has discouraged my team from wanting to use it.
Well-suited:
  • Collaborative projects with multiple people, pieces, and phases.
  • Transparency and accountability across a dispersed team with dozens of clients.
  • General infrastructure for a shared services team.
  • Simplifying complexity to increase productivity.
Not well-suited:
  • Long-term storage of information.
  • Syncing across boards/queues without a bunch of add-ons and extra expenses (like Unito).
  • Sadly, not well-suited to integrating seamlessly with Outlook, Confluence, and other related tools yet.

  • Most important is we organize our daily activities
  • Management for a project is easy and effective
  • Making list for reading for me and others is flexible
  • We can join [ourselves] so easily
  • I am a happy Trello user
  • May be storage is low
  • [It's] very good for short time business, [the] extensive project is tough
In case of managing routine, in case of sharing thoughts, to [the] planning of work, schedule maintaining are effective. Still, it's very appropriate for me. Not found any scenario of less yet.

Trello is used by individual users in our organization. It is an easy to use, intuitive and graphically pleasing service. Most people are using it as a planning board using all kinds of lists. For me personally, I use it to track my tasks and use different lists for all the statuses. Adding a bit of color makes it easily interpretable in a second. Having the mobile app helps me keep track on the road.
  • Graphically pleasing.
  • Easy to work with, easy to understand.
  • Sharing is easy.
  • I don't like the pricing on the version that has AD-integration. It is way too much.
It is good for personal or small work groups. Personally I lose track if the group is too big that shares the board, but that might also be a problem with similar products. As we have an Office 365 license, many people are migrating to Microsoft Planner, not necessarily because Trello is missing features, but because Planner is deeply integrated into the whole Office 365 suite.

Trello is used at my organization to lay out and track team goals and initiatives on a quarterly basis. We use it to split our goals up by teams, and then individual topics. It helps keep things organized and easily displayed and tracked. It is not being used across the whole organization, but rather on a team-by-team basis, wherever it's best suited.
  • Collaboration - Trello makes it very easy to track what everyone is doing, has gotten done, and still has to get done. Everything for everyone is displayed clearly in the same place.
  • Customization - Trello offers plenty of flexibility when it comes to customizing the dashboard to fit the team's needs. All sorts of colors, shapes, icons, tags, labels, and different list types are available
  • Filters - When it comes to searching, there's plenty of available filters that use the labels and tags that you can use to help speed up your searches within your dashboard.
  • Kanban boards - Not that there's anything wrong with Kanban boards, but Trello is limited to them, whereas other alternatives offer different views you can use.
  • No calendar support - Trello doesn't natively offer support for calendar integration, while other options do.
  • Limited to simple descriptions - If you're hoping to write detailed documents on your board for your different tasks, Trello may not be the best option as you're limited to shorter descriptions.
Trello is well suited for teams with common tasks that aren't looking for calendar integration. If Kanban boards work for you, use Trello. If you need more than that, or require calendar integration, you may be better off looking for alternatives. If you prefer short and simple project and task descriptions, Trello is for you. If you need long, detailed descriptions, you should look elsewhere.

Trello makes it easy to manage workflows on the go. Its mobile app design is very intuitive and allows for online sharing as well as offline use so that you can log tasks whenever you think of them. It is easy to manage multiple projects and you get the ability to customize your workflow however you see fit. You are then able to get into the grittier details to log information about each task that needs to be done and easily move them from one stage to the next.
  • Mobile App
  • Intuitive Design
  • Easy of Use
  • Offline and Online Use
  • It was a little difficult to figure out how to remove a project.
  • Could have the ability to work with other task management systems.
  • Probably would be useful for businesses if Trello provided more insight into the work.
Trello is well suited for staying connected to your work wherever you go. You are also able to use it at no cost so it is great for starting off. Trello may lack more advanced features that bigger, more established workflow managers have such as JIRA, so it would be less appropriate if you need those extra features.

Trello is currently used sporadically by a few departments in our organization. It is primarily used as collaboration tools to track activities in a project which involve members from a single department and/or member across different departments. It helps a lot in tracking activities and allocating resources to certain activities in a project and also as a tool for team coordination.
  • Web based delivery provides seamless access anywhere and anytime.
  • Intuitive and easy to use.
  • Semi-online features would be a game changer when there is no internet connection.
  • Upload size limitation makes it very hard to collaborate with large data.
Trello works well on organizing and coordinating small to medium projects involving team members working from virtual offices connected by public internet access. However, when there is limited or even no internet access then it becomes unusable. Moreover, when working with large scale projects Trello's dashboard becomes too cluttered which makes it very hard to manage.

We are using Trello as a project management and workflow tool between multiple teams in our marketing department. Trello solves a few issues that we had having to do with visibility to all of the work our teams were doing and how to prioritize various tasks
  • Kanban board
  • Open source
  • Easy to learn and use
  • Some of the plug ins are difficult to manage
  • As the teams grow Trello becomes harder to manage
  • Better with small teams
Trello is fantastic to use with small teams with simple task workflows. As teams grow or you try to merge workflows between teams Trello becomes much harder manage. We use Trello for task management for our team. Assigning tasks takes only a moment and moving cards is just a click and drag. There are more plugins to Trello than I can mention here and some of them are fantastic.

We are using Trello mainly as a task list for things that we are not able (or not permitted) to open an tracker or incident on JIRA. Tasks like "Internal system xyz needs to be updated to the latest version of PHP". The fact that we can fully integrate it with JIRA SD and Confluence is one of the most wonderful things in Trello: you don't need to copy-paste everything. Place it in one platform and voila: you can simply import/export it to/from Trello.
  • Task management: you can assign tasks to teams or to someone in particular
  • You can, with some workaround, create a full Kanban system
  • It is a bit difficult to use in the first tries. A lot of colors, a lot of boards, a lot of projects... But you can and will get used to it easily.
In my experience, Trello is awesome if you are part of a team with more than one customer or project and you also develop internal tools (like shift schedulers, vacation control, etc) where you can't use the customer's ticket tool to document your internal progress. You simply create a board/project with your internal product and manage it from there. Let's use the first example: a shift scheduler. With Trello you can create a board/project with this name and create all internal tasks, like "Application needs to be updated to the last version of nodes", "Resolve bug xyz reported by coworker", "Implement feature abc suggested by our manager" and work from there with subtasks and to-do lists.

Presently, we use Trello as a kanban card management system across distributed teams. This helps us to understand the current state of work being done, limit work in progress, manage blockages, and delineate completed work. It's built in sharing makes it ideal for sharing across international teams, as all members have visibility and access into the work cards at all times.
  • Flexibility of Cards - can add links, pictures, attachments, etc.
  • Built in sharing enables multiple users to collaborate on a board at a time.
  • Customizable - it's very easy for me to customize the look and format of my cards to make it easy to identify work that needs to get done.
  • Aging - Trello offers an aging functionality that lets you identify old cards, but it's not granular enough to be useful. In short order, old cards all look old.
  • Color coding - Trello offers color coding, but not enough unique colors to make many labels of distinct colors.
  • Export - Trello does offer export, but not in a user-friendly format. I'd like a CSV export so I can easily manipulate my card data from time to time.
Trello is excellent for kanban style management of tasks. It allows for multiple users to be assigned to a task, enabling a team to "swarm" on a card. While it does not enforce any work in progress (WIP) rules, if you're using sensible rules, you can easily see how much work is in progress at any given time. Trello wouldn't be a suitable tool for a full scrum implementation - the board would simply get too busy with an extensive backlog list, current and future sprints, and no concepts of hierarchy amongst the cards.

We’re using Trello within teams as each team has its preference. In my team, we use Trello. Trello comes in handy for tasks and projects that require the whole team to be keeping up with the work and progress of each other member instantly.
  • It allows you to divide and redivide tasks very easily and assign each to a specific member while keeping track of the progress of each member.
  • The personal boards and team boards allow each individual to stay focused and collect their ideas. It allows the team to be on the same page regarding the goals and progress that have been achieved so far
  • It has very good packages for enterprises/individuals, and offers a free version.
  • Attaching files has never been easier.
  • The integration between Trello and other software has proven to be very useful especially with Evernote.
  • The search options need to get reinforced and improved in a way to allow the search by keywords. It should be easier to look for cards in personal and team boards.
  • When we’d use it for branched and complex projects it was inefficient as it lacked advanced features to serve the project's complexity.
  • The interface also is not the most advanced and in my opinion, they can work on it to make more professional and elegant.
It’s very well suited for small to medium-sized projects where tasks are somewhat simple and team members are moderate in number. It is not so well suited for big, complex projects or a large headcount of users. It is more suited for less professional atmospheres since it would need many enhancements to be able to compete with the most advanced software.

Trello is used solely by our ESP, and so was used by our Email Marketing team as a means to track new projects and have a visual without needing a fully stacked project management tool.
  • It's easy to create a board (or multiple boards) with unique fields to be able to track where a request is at any given moment.
  • The initial set up of a task is very simple with a description, a list of to-dos, a due date, an attachment options.
  • It's visually appealing, with color coding and notifications when a task is due or past due.
  • We moved away from Trello because we couldn't create subtasks with due dates.
  • There is no way to create dependency.
  • There aren't many other views available, such as the Calendar, or by Member.
Trello is a simple tool that can be used for small teams, but is difficult when managing major projects. The changes that need to be made within a project are all manual and more time can be spent on moving details around than work of the actual tasks. Trello is great for communication across members on a board, and has a good visual representation of all tasks. Trello is not a good option to replace a JIRA or Asana as the capabilities are not nearly as robust. We moved to ClickUp as an in between option.

We're using Trello on a project of a new feature in one of our products. We have an overview of the tasks with its status and owners on a single board and many possible changes are at a drag-and-drop action. This makes things simpler and clear, meaning more team manageability and, of course, productivity.
  • Good board overview with plenty of options for customization.
  • Easy edit with context menus and drag-and-drop actions.
  • Don't know one yet. :)
Trello is a very good tool to manage small/mid teams and their tasks. Therefore, it can also be used for personal task management. Aligned with the agile concept, this tool is kanban-like with many options that include integration with third-party apps. I guess it could be a little confusing for bigger projects with many people and complex tasks.

We are using Trello internally in our division as a tool of communication between myself and an external vendor we work with. Trello allows me to stay up to date in real time on where we stand with various tasks. It is extremely simple and user-friendly, and much more efficient than email and other chat tools.
  • Super quick tool - tasks are opened and moved in split seconds
  • Full visibility and transparency

My usage of Trello happened with the Marketing team. Trello was being used to track all ideas and tasks across swimlanes to identify progress and status. Trello is a great tool for project management. But just like any tool, the way it is used is very important. It's important to know the different steps involved in your process(es) and have swimlanes created as per the steps. The last swimlane should indicate "completed and live". Unfortunately, our implementation was quite poor. We had many many swimlanes, not arranged progressively, making each swimlane redundant. Another poor usage was the fact that we had multiple Trello boards. While there was one for the whole team, there were also manager-reporter Trello boards. This made the open project management factor disappear in entirety. Moreover, we did not use Trello consistently. Keeping our own usage aside, I don't really like Trello's UI. I think a 2D version would do better than a 3D version. Also, the fonts are very casual, while project management isn't.

  • Make as many swimlanes as you want.
  • Commenting and making a thread on a card is quite convenient.
  • You can add background images to your Trello board.
  • UI is too casual.
  • The font is too casual.
Trello is a great tool for project management. You can create as many swimlanes as you want. If you have multiple steps from start to finish, then Trello is great because you can make as many swimlanes. The font and UI are not very formal and not very project-management-ish.

Trello is used as a collaboration tool for managing projects. It is a card-based tracking tool which helps you to track projects. It is one of the most used project management tools. We can easily integrate apps within the team for better collaboration. The search tool is very fast and has filters which help in narrowing down your search.
  • Best project management tool.
  • Fast search.
  • Integration with other apps.
  • Needs more tools for integrations.
  • Lacks budget management and client portals.
  • Cost to completion tracking is missing.
Trello is a great tool for collaborating with teams and integrating apps. It helps to keep track of your team files and keeps your tasks in one place. The search engine is a powerful tool which helps to narrow down tasks. It is less appropriate in situations where you do cost tracking and budget management. It doesn't have a client portal where you can add in clients and keep track of them.

At the Security Engineering department we, the developers, use Trello for organizing projects and estimating time of completion. Using the notifications system, we can see all of the pending projects and the content that has to be completed in order to advance to further work, depending on the project deadline.
  • Pointing to the next task you have to complete.
  • You can download all your pending tasks and organize them as you see fit.
  • You can delay tasks if you need to.
  • You can see your completed tasks so you can keep track of your progress.
  • It's not too intuitive to use, it can be difficult when you're new to this app.
  • Not much filtering. You can't add subcategories.
When several people are working on the same project, you can edit your work notes for everyone to see the progress of the project.

If you have organizational issues, with Trello you can set up an organized schedule for any of the tasks you and/or your co-workers are set to accomplish.

This tool is being used by multiple departments across campus for varying levels of project management. This tool is used by my department as an overall tasking system so we know what everyone is currently working on as well as what we having coming down the pipe. This has allowed us much more overall flexibility.
  • Task management.
  • Workflow planning.
  • Transparency.
  • Larger project management instead of just tasking.
When it comes to managing a small department or groups of peoples, overall tasking and light project management with the individual boards it is very efficient and clean. If you want to get very finely detailed and customized you might want to look more at a tool like JIRA with more functionality built-in.

We are using Trello for our smaller projects. Clients that are collaborating to a development phase are able to see the progress, and we have accomplished this with Trello boards. We are driving the cards depending on customer requirements, and using labels properly in order to show a better summary about the project situation.
  • Interactive design.
  • Cards.
  • A good labeling and notification system.
  • No charts for progress.
  • You cannot add a calendar.
  • Sometimes the cards are not enough for proper documentation.
If you are planning to do simple projects that will not take a long time, you can use Trello. Also, one can use Trello boards for tracking their own tasks along with other project management tools which may improve productivity.

I use Trello for any kind of list where I want to keep track of things visually. It's great for keeping track of items with images. For example, I have one Trello list for books I'm reading, and I'm able to attach images of the book covers. It's currently not fully used by my department, but on an individual level.
  • Visual to-do list.
  • Organization.
  • Collect project information.
  • The tagging feature could be more useful.
  • Ease of filtering.
  • More list configuration.
Trello works really well for visual sorting and organization. It's very satisfying to be able to drag the cards from a "to-do" column over to a "doing" or "done" column. This also allows for people to quickly see the progress of items and projects. Another advantage is that the free version is very powerful. It can be used to organize almost anything. Trello becomes less appropriate if you need very complex configuration, such as lists within groups.
