My experience with Trello
As a a software developer, I use Trello my main Task management tool. I am very familiar with agile approaches and I found in Trello the perfect tool to organize tasks of my development projects. The system of list embedded in this tool provides a suitable view of the the main parts or step of a project
- Trello provides a realtime sharing project management experience. So, various members of a given project can edit its tasks at the same time.
- With Trello, it is easy to assign member to a given task
- It is really easy to move a task from one list to another with just a drag and drop
- Trello should improve the management of project timeline. For example, it might be suitable to have an integrated gant feature
- it shoud be interesting to have a direct integration with classical code versionnning tools like github
- Trello should improve the interfaces of mobile version. The current one is not suitable and should be lighter to comply with mobile UI standards

A great project management tool (Infact, process management tool).
I am using Trello mainly for managing my 3 teams: 1. Development Team: My whole Agile methodology is running on Trello including backlogging and weekly sprints. 2. Testing Team: Managing all test cases and versions on which test cases tested..everything on Trello Board. 3. Marketing: Managing daily tasks of marketing teams on Trello. Apart from this, using it as a common brainstorming idea board for all team members.
- It organizes the tasks very well, you can create lists, and with simple drag and drop, you can manage different states of tasks.
- Availability of Plugins makes it super feature-rich, you can achieve almost any feature with the help of plugins.
- Automation bots make it super powerful to do repeated/pre-defined tasks automatically.
- Understanding automation bots is very difficult, it even require doing some coding.
- Some third party plugins gives trouble while working with Trello
- Trello does not provide a method for tracking task dependencies.

Trello is a kind of task management tool, we're working with Agile methodologies and Trello is useful at that point. We're using the tool to assign tasks and manage those tasks across team members. As far as I know aside from the administrative department the whole organization uses this tool. We haven't faced any issues, but when you reach the limits like having too many tasks under one title it gets hard to handle. You must use some other functions at that point, like tagging your tasks.
- Tagging the task with colors or patterns helps keep tasks separated from each other.
- Archive the projects or tasks, make them available anytime you would like to get them.
- It is totally online and supports cross-platforms which helps you use it anywhere.
- It is really an easy tool to get familiar with.
- Having too many tasks on the project makes it hard to manage.
- When you set time for tasks it notifies you back, that would be nice to have a Gantt chart in order to see the whole project in landscape mode.
- While sending mail or sharing the task I would like to set a template for how the tasks appear while sharing.
- Some auto rules can be implemented which can be managed from a dashboard, like if this happens then make something like that.

Task Management On The Go
Trello makes it easy to manage workflows on the go. Its mobile app design is very intuitive and allows for online sharing as well as offline use so that you can log tasks whenever you think of them. It is easy to manage multiple projects and you get the ability to customize your workflow however you see fit. You are then able to get into the grittier details to log information about each task that needs to be done and easily move them from one stage to the next.

Trello is used company wide where I work. We have team boards and individual boards. We also have project boards. I find it very useful to organize all of the work within my division. It's easy to move cards around so you can keep up with all of the work and easily see and move everything in real time. We use the Scrum method and it fits in very seamlessly with this agile structure.

Trello Rocks!
We used Trello as a tool for communication with our external customers in a way that we discuss all the features, Q&A and approaches. We also used Trello to communicate with 3rd party service providers to integrate into the solution we were working on. Due to the different time zone and geographically located teams, we were not constrained via using Trello cards to communicate. We also are able to break down into different categories such as design, UX, deployment, etc.
- Categorization of different topics.
- Notification of any new feeds or card created.
- Simple to use, everything listed as a discussion threads within a card.
- Sub-categorization within a topic.
- Replying to a response within a card does not have a good visual clue on which thread that response is associated with.

A must-have tool for every team
We use Trello extensively for planning task management across the organization. It really helps us to see what is ahead of us in a single view.
- Colorful boards and cards. Easy on the eyes. You get the whole picture all the time.

Best PM tool for team-based projects
We started using it in the Operations department to manage software development projects in a collaborative and agile manner. Soon after starting as a pilot, the whole Operations department was deeply involved with it, so we decided to formalize Trello as the project management tool. Processes were created around it and we started integrating it with other platforms we use as google docs, slack, and Github, among others.
A few months in and other departments of the company started using Trello as well. It proved to be a very useful tool for any type of workflow or task/project-based work style. Today it is used in pretty much all departments of the company and it is the standard of the company as well.

- Super easy to use. No training needed.
- For specialized software development process you won't be able to do things like "sprint points management".

Excellent for Day-to-Day Agile Task Management
We use Trello internally to plan and manage Product Development/Research and Development initiatives. We also use Trello to manage client engagements if the client company already has Trello in place. Teams, boards, and tasks are easy to create, and Trello makes project collaboration straightforward and relatively painless, particularly when compared to more traditional project management tools.

- Reporting is almost non-existent.
- No dashboards unless you integrate with a third-party tool.
- Confusing for some users familiar with traditional project management tools.

What about Trello?
We're using Trello on a project of a new feature in one of our products. We have an overview of the tasks with its status and owners on a single board and many possible changes are at a drag-and-drop action. This makes things simpler and clear, meaning more team manageability and, of course, productivity.
- Good board overview with plenty of options for customization.
- Easy edit with context menus and drag-and-drop actions.
- Don't know one yet. :)
My entire organization utilizes Trello at a number of levels. First, we use it to manage business development by creating a board with business leads, bid information, and proposals. Then, when a project goes into production we create a separate board or list with information about how the project will be managed through completion. Each employee also uses Trello to manage their individual day-by-day schedule by creating boards with Monday-Friday lists that help prioritize, schedule, and execute individual tasks.
- Trello is a useful tool for breaking down project tasks in a user interface that is visually easy to understand and drag and drop friendly, while also allowing a level of detail within individual cards that allow you to keep up with specific tasks and notes based on how things are organized.
- Checklists are one of my favorite features on Trello cards. They allow for you to add details and to-do lists for yourself or your team, and it's easy to divide and conquer or convert to cards if you need to expand.
- I love how you can drag and drop a particular card to another list. If you need to move tasks, cards, notes, (or whatever you are using a card for) to another list, it's incredibly simple.
- I love how open and editable Trello is. You can totally adapt it based on the project or task size - it's useful for small or large teams.
- In some ways, the thing that is great about Trello is also what is so difficult - it's an open slate. Unless you have a clear path about how to systemize your processes, it can be a bit difficult to get started.
- Communication - The commenting is a bit limited and on larger projects or boards, it's easy to lose track of conversations. It would be nice if there were a way to unify chatting into one place or better organize it.
- Templates - There aren't enough useful templates. Part of this I imagine is because everyone uses Trello differently, but I haven't yet found one that fits my need perfectly. I'd like to create my own templates for my team to use - and there are some ways to do that, but I'd prefer to have more options than currently exist.

Trello - simple, smart and agile!
We use Trello across the company and the engineering department to organize and plan our development work. It's the center of our sprint planning and our scrum/agile meetings. It's simple, easy to use and really doesn't do much - but that's just perfect. It's not opinionated and allows us to use it how we want to.

- Provides a few productivity addon tools.
- Could provide a few more integrations

Kanban workflows made personal and fun
Our company uses Trello within specific teams, rather than across the entire organization. My team (product content strategy) used Trello for task management up until a few months ago, when we switched to JIRA Software along with the rest of the product, UX design, and development teams. There are still a few teams who use Trello (like the localization team), so I use their Trello board whenever I need to request translations for dashboard copy.
- Trello is extremely easy to use. You can create a board and get up and running in minutes. It's very easy to add new users, share permissions, create and edit cards, etc.
- Trello has a fun brand personality and UI. It sounds silly, but I loved being able to set different photographs as backgrounds -- always made me smile. Their documentation and emails are cute and easy to read.
- Trello is a great value price-wise and offers a very good free membership.
- Trello doesn't have all of the functionality of some other competitors. For example, you can't create "swim lanes" that highlight specific issues at the top of each column, or create multiple statuses within a single column.
- Trello is fantastic for simple views but can appear overwhelming once you add many cards with many fields. I could get around this by filtering to only see cards assigned to myself, but it was hard to otherwise pick out my cards at a glance.
- Trello only offers one kanban view. You can filter this view, but it would be great if there were multiple views that let you reorganize and view your cards in different ways.

We use Trello to engage with our customers. We use it to document our goals, open items, product enhancement requests, and what we have completed. We have a list for each of these and then cards for each specific item. We move the cards to indicate priority, and then move them to the Done list when complete.
We add other elements to indicate status and we use comments to provide detail on where we are for each item. The time stamp helps with this too.
In this way, we have a secure, easy way to communicate about our progress on key items that we need in order to make sure customers successful with our product and services.

- I like how easily you can move cards up, down, and across lists. This makes it super easy to show the priority and progress of specific items.
- I also like how easy it is to customize. Adding color coding and moving things around is very easy to do and it makes it easy for people to understand what's going on at a glance and to dig into it.
- I like how easy it is to add users. We often start with a small team but have to add other stakeholders that are interested in it. This makes it easy to ensure EVERYONE is on the same page. This turns previous decisions into artifacts so no one has to ask where we are on something or what we decided.
- I honestly don't have a lot of recommendations for making things better.

Trello - Freeform Masterpiece
We use Trello across our organization and with client- and supported-organizations. The ability to share Trello boards enables collaboration and management without the confines of more limited solutions, which in turn encourages more effective sharing of content and concepts. Trello enables us to collaborate on virtual boards that organize ideas, collect comments and store assets and links that are essential to website design, social media management, campaign planning and project tracking.
- Trello is very effective at allowing a user to organize ideas in a personal fashion. Yes, the software has constraints in which you must work, but the card-based concept is easily accepted by an user who has every written ideas on scraps of paper.
- Trello is available as a mobile app, a Mac app and as a website so the software adapts to and leverages the advantages of the platform on which you are currently work.
- Trello also allows easy updates via email so ideas don't have to be filed for later action. Receive an emailed request and forward it directly to the appropriate Trello board.
- Trello is very good when collaborating with users who are outside your organization, don't have a company email address or are on the other side of the world.
- Trello is not as robust a product for the Windows environment, although the web interface is as functional as most users will need.
- Trello does not make it easy to completely delete content. The archive function is useful but sometimes you just want to get rid of something completely.
- Trello does note currently offer an offline editing function which would be very useful.

Agile All The Way Down
Trello makes it easier for Agile teams to keep track of what everyone is working on with minimal administrative overhead. The simple, manoeuvrable base interface is one of Trello's greatest strengths - in the past, a pain point when tracking project status during standups was the drudgery associated with updating Kanban and Sprint boards on clunkier interfaces like a physical whiteboard or JIRA boards. JIRA allows for greater abstraction of complex tasks and larger organisations, but oftentimes what is needed is simply something lightweight that does not feel like a chore to update. Trello also makes it easy to set up custom workflows for different teams by editing the lists on a board. If you work in a team of 5-10 people and want to trim the fat in your Agile ceremonies, Trello is definitely a tool to consider. The Trello user interface is extremely smooth and responsive, which can reduce the drag when collaborating with teammembers.

- Simplicity is its greatest strength but also its greatest challenge when used by large teams. Personally I am not sure how well an organisation with 100-200 people would fare based on Trello alone, unless they had strong commitments to Agile methodologies at all levels of the organisation.
- Certain basic features like card sub-tasks and epics are only available as "Power Ups", which have limits on how many are active at one time. While it's understandable that Trello would have this model, I feel that some features should come with the bare-bones version of the product, such as sub-tasks and epics, since they are essential for productivity.

Trello makes organizing team tasks easy
Our company uses Trello for task and project management and communication between teams. Each department uses various Trello boards for projects, and is aligned with Agile methodologies of project management.
- Advanced user customization including backgrounds, stickers, and various components to make each board unique.
- Ease of adding things to separate tasks by using cards. Documents, images, anything necessary can be added with a click or a paste.
- No board to big or small. Can add hundreds of line items, tasks, projects, teams, and communicate with ease between them regardless of size.
- The ability to color code individual cards fully rather than labels
- Ability to resize and move stickers would come in handy

Trello is used to track individual employees' major work items whether they are projects or project tasks. We also use Trello to track open items in complex individual work-streams where there are multiple groups involved. Both of these uses allow visibility to the work being performed for resource managers as well as work-stream owners in an Agile-type usage.
- Ease of use both on the desktop as well as the mobile apps. No loss of functionality on the mobile apps.
- Very visual and easy to scan through the items on the 'boards' very quickly.
- Role-based security makes it easy to display only what individual users need.
- Needs additional flexibility and functionality to be used as a full-fledged product management tool.
- Great for Agile usage but not set up for a Waterfall methodology.

Trello -- Inspiring Collaboration and Organization
We use it to keep marketing and art content organized, as well as for easy access to files specific to certain sprints. It is easy to communicate with team members and keep track of updates with those who are not always in office. Overall it serves as an organization and sprint management tool.

- If there are a lot of cards, it can get a little messy -- maybe add a tab for all attached files
- Maybe some analytical features would be useful
I have used Trello for 5 years. First, I used it specifically for our mobile technical development tasks. For 2 years I used it for all internal tasks and projects with specific spaces. Now, users are [in our] marketing, functional and technical profiles. Most of these people learned the Agile method (projects). Other people use Trello for tasks (documentation of to dos, learning to plan). This is our collaboration tool.
- Visual presentation: you can easily see tasks, tasks status, users and roles
- Avoid problems of a physical board and post it (dixit Kanban): place, move it, post it loss ...
- Projects and tasks structuring: you need to do thinking before adding a new task. This is a good behaviour.
- Sometimes we could be lost in the visual interface and have some difficulties to know where we are and where something is that we are looking for. Especially if you use Trello for different tasks and projects.
