HR questions, payroll, and insurance across the whole organization. TriNet addresses those three things.
  • Communication for questions I have, specifically on an administrative level.
  • The variety and choice of health insurance.
  • The website platform is informative and useful.
  • Maybe on the website it would be helpful for the employee to be able to know who to contact, and for what, right away instead of trying to search for it
  • The pop-ups for reports, and when I go to other pages, I don't love.
It's perfect for not having in house HR and getting better insurance rates, although it's still a little pricey.
Every one of the people I contact is very on top of questions I email them about.
It looks good and it's easy to see everything. My only thing is the constant popping up and opening of another window. I also do wish I could input I-9 information before they start.

Their online training is ok, and is unfortunate that there is a totally separate model for training that costs extra when we would only watch one or two things. However, the mandatory sexual harassment training is actually pretty good, it was just a little clunky

Nichol Dark has helped immensely when it comes to my first maternity leave. I have yet to have an employee go through it, so my first one, she guided me throughout the whole way

  • The general platform on the employee side is simple with the pie charts
  • I don't like how another window opens for certain things like Reports and Payroll
  • When I enter PTO, I would like to see the balance after I in put the PTO taken. RIght now if someone has 10 hours PTO, and I remove 6, there is a little number that shows up below it that still says 10. I would like it to minus out the amount that I just put in, so you can see how much PTO they really have left.
  • I don't like how I can't delete an employee that never started. I've had to do this twice and they both show up in the system even though they have never come into work nor have I paid them anything
  • I would also like the billing from Trinet to be a bit more transparent. I'm not getting a detailed invoice on YOUR charges.

It is currently being used as a HRIS which also processes our payroll and benefits administration. Technically the entire organization is using it, but it is mainly being used for HR purposes. It helps to take a large load of work off of myself (HR) by doing the payroll and benefits administration.

  • Employee work history descriptions.
Managing I-9 forms is done very well, with constant updates of upcoming expiration dates. However, TriNet needs some work when it comes to how their time off requests and balance reporting are done. It only updates once a month and doesn't accurately track the PTO until that update.
When assigned a specific representative, the customer service is great. A call or email to Will Biggs is quickly responded to and taken care of in timely fashion. However distribution emails never get responded to, unless it is after multiple days. The online chat feature is also very good, but needs some work in the sense it only gives you 3 options of topics.
Platform isn't the most user friendly, the mobile app does crash from time to time, but overall it is manageable.

Trinet is currently our PEO, processing our payroll under their EIN. they are taking care of our health insurance workers comp and filing our taxes.
  • They have a very friendly user website.
  • Lots of detailed reports.
  • They offer great policies.
  • They don't reply to emails as quickly as I would expect from such a company.
I think they are very well suited for payroll, this is what we are using them right now so I wouldn't know more.
Its running really smoothly, they are on top of laws and seem to really have a lot of grt offers.

Change management was minimal
  • Employees didn't complete their 19 on time, creating issues when payroll needed to be processed for the first time with Trinet.
  • For some odd reason they entered the start date wrong creating major issues with paying for the right pay period.
  • Not all parts of their website when we processed payroll for the first time, therefore needed to be on a call for a long time.
They were super organized and was running on a timely manner. We had calls with them so each topic was discussed in a detailed manner.
