Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Having a product's overall score is a great tool to rate a solution, but we think is only an starting point, not a definitive key indicator, we need to clearly identify what data is included in that score, and on top of it it is very important to validate it with the customer reviews (even though some of them might be biased), adding information to the score, can only improve the information and reduce the uncertainty of an investment.

Apart from the overall score, I like to take a brief panoramic look to get a feel of what type of users rely on the product—industries, roles, use cases, etc. Then I like to read reviews, videos, etc., of companies that serve a similar market or clients my team serves. If the reviews are relevant to the problem I'm trying to solve, I check the nitty gritty, like integrations, in-depth features, etc.

I look at the product's roadmap and previous releases. There are some software that have been developed in a long time, and the frequent or not-so-frequent updates will tell me if the software developer is really serious in developing the software in the long run. This also minimizes the risk of the software being de-supported in the near future due to the developer closing shop, and thus providing me with options in cases that it happens.

Trial or Demo. Whenever possible, we take advantage of free trials or product demos. This hands-on experience allows us to explore the product's functionalities, test its usability, and assess its fit for our organization's specific workflows and processes. If a trial is not available, we look for product videos. Case Studies and Success Stories are also something that we look for.

Products reviews from the reliable sources is the main driven for the decision while purchasing the software. The good reviews by the same minded employee is very helpful as the requirements as per the domain and market of the software is very dynamic so it is very important for the business to stay updated with the market

In addition to a solution's overall score, I also look at product reviews, relevant or required feature ratings, and the list of integrations available for the technology or software solution. The overall score is a great indicator of customer happiness as well as innovation and capability, but sometimes it is important to dig into the specifics.

I look at product reviews, integrations, and genuine customer experiences from organisations of the same industry and size as ours. Sometimes the comments can be very helpful here and give hints to potential problems we would not have known about. It also can help give confidence the solution is proven for our space.

The scores are generally all I look at I have never seen the point of referring to anything other than the scores. Reviews and experience are great but at least with TrustRadius for Buyers it can be trusted better than any other organization. Again it depends on the user and what they intend to accomplish.

We like to look at product reviews from individual purchasers/users, and we like to see what feature ratings are included. Seeing a list of integrations is helpful, but not necessary for most products. Any time there is a sample from a product, whether a screen shot or video of use, we are grateful for that information too.

I look for similar industry. The staffing industry is definitely an industry with many many variables. Third party staffing is even more complex so software is number one for key success. The reviews from peers using software in the same industry is vital.

There are various parameters like the feature ratings, how well the software and its features are with the current technology and stack, The list of integrations that it can do with the other softwares in the market. The videos and demos of the softwares. Other than that a real piece of review is also important for determining if the product would be good fit in the organization.

The experience other users have had is also something to look into. It's good for a company that desires to settle on software that serves for a long time on costs. Prices of the software, including acquisition and maintenance, are also a factor in deciding on software.

We do perform thorough research before selecting a product and having a good number of user reviews is always a plus point. Apart from that, we check for the product pricing and how easy it is for the product to integrate with existing infrastructure along with the value it will bring.

Aside from the overall score, we mostly look at the pricing of the service or product and make sure that it will be beneficial to our business goals. Also, looking at who else uses this product helps in determining if the product aligns with our needs. The videos included on the page are also great to help.
