Using the quotes to send to prospects via email to show value of our company. I use these when comparing our product to a competitor's product in addition. It is a great tool to show a prospect and viewpoint from the "outside" and not just my voice as an employee.

  • I like that you can easily copy it to keep the format in an email
  • I like that these show an "outsider's" view of our product and not just my own as a salesperson

TrustQuotes is great to use when trying to reach out to a prospect to show the value of a company to get them on the phone to begin conversations. It is also great to use when a prospect is looking at competitors and would like to see why you are more valuable in the eyes of someone that is not a salesperson.
The content that TrustRadius has collected has been good. I think there could be some better content surrounding the specific uses of the platform.
I use case studies as well which are more in-depth than a quick review. Depending on the prospect you are reaching out to and how in-depth you want them to understand something, a review might be better or a longer case study might be better. They both work well in my opinion.
It has helped find relevant quotes for prospects easier and it has given me a new way to engage with prospects.
After sending an email to a prospect with a TrustQuote in the body, they agreed to take a call to find out about our product.

TrustQuotes are great for presentations for prospects and to use in cold calling situations.
It is always best to hear it from the horse's mouth. It is a great way to prove value without asking another customer to take time to be a reference.
It has helped me save time finding relevant quotes for prospects.
Using it in my presentations to clients before a demo has given us a little extra credibility right before they see the product.

I use TrustQuotes regularly for cold outreach, to introduce prospects to our company and reinforce our business value. It is helpful for backing up a claim that I make about the effectiveness or impact of our product.
  • I like being able to filter for reviews related to specific attributes of our product.
  • I think the filtering option could be expanded to include a direct keyword search function.
It is helpful to use TrustQuotes with cold outreach, but I feel less comfortable using it with current open opportunities without feeling pushy, unless they specifically request to see customer reviews.
TrustRadius review quotes are easier to access due to the integration with Salesforce, and it's easier to find specifically-tailored quotes. However, the excerpts are generally much shorter than something like a testimonial or case study, so it is less likely to tell a complete customer story.
TrustQuotes has made it easier to find relevant quotes, and adds more flavor to my outreach emails.
I was working with a prospect who was close to purchasing, but had heard a negative review of our product from a former customer. I was able to respond to her objections, using TrustQuotes to demonstrate how we had improved as an organization since the time of the former customer's complaints, and the deal was saved!
Not all TrustQuotes are created equal. Depending on how the customers' answers are phrased, they can either be very insightful or just plain confusing. I have found one or two quality quotes related to each relevant topic, and I tend to stick with using those over and over, until a new, better quote comes along.

I use TrustQuotes for prospecting and competitive information during the beginning and middle of the sales cycle. Essentially, I had a couple of different campaigns running with ToutApp. One was our generic templates using competitive messaging (comparing our solution to competitors). I ran an A/B test of the generic templates with campaigns using TrustQuotes to bring in user quotes as evidence to support the competitive points.

The emails using TrustQuotes typically had a 2 to 4 percent higher clickthrough rate after the email was opened.

  • Formatting is has more of a visual aesthetic that is different than a generic email
  • Vast library of quotes that apply to various use cases
  • Could use them across all record views. (i.e.: lead, contact, account, opportunity)
  • Potentially add snippets from 3rd party analyst reports instead of just users. User quotes are useful, but sometimes prospects view them as biased personal opinion since everyone's experience with a vendor is different. So it would be great to have the ability to pull quotes from analyst reports in addition to user reviews.

They are well suited for using quotes to support competitive campaigns, or to help prospect into new accounts.
I think they are pretty similar in regards to the content being sent to customers/prospects. Where TQ differentiates itself is the way it is delivered. It's a different approach that will break through the noise.

Although we do not directly use TrustQuotes in SFDC (yet) we pull quotes from the TrustRadius site and provide them as part of our proposal, following our initial demo with prospective customers.
  • I like being able to categorize quotes by use case
  • I like being able to embed quotes in different parts of our online properites
  • I like that it gives my sales people an up-to-date hub for customer reviews
In a word: excellent. We struggled to capture the customer voice previous to TrustRadius. The main limitation was internal resources, and the TrustRadius team was able to secure quotes at the same level (or higher) than I would expect from an internal team member.
There are a few things that I like about review quotes
  • That the TrustRadius team serves as an extension of my own and actively engages with our clients to secure testimonials
  • The ability to categorize the whole quote as well as take "snippets" and add sub-tags. This makes it very easy to find testimonials to match to prospective customers concerns.
  • The ability to embed these quotes on our website and have them auto-update reduces the backlog on our web-dev team.
  • The fact that the quotes come from a third party (TrustRadius vs. our own site) gives them more legitimacy than if we just added quotes to our website.
TrustQuotes have become an integral part of our demo follow up process. The fact that they are easy to categorize and find is ideal for finding the perfect quote to meet the questions/pain points expressed by prospective customers.
