Reviews
(1-17 of 17)Automation , resource management and performance management
- Needs initially a lot of time to tune
Turbonomic Rocks the Virtual Management World!
- While not necessarily cumbersome, configuring all of the policies can take some time. The product is so versatile that if you have many different virtual environments, policies have to be created under each one. For example, if you have multiple instances of vCenter, Hyper-V, or XenCenter or any combination, you need to create policies for each one. You could set one over all, but I am not aware of any environment that uses the same policies on every single virtual machine in their environment.
- If you want detailed performance data, I do not believe that it exists within VMTurbo Operations Manger for reporting. That data is used to generate recommendations and perform sizing calculations but I have not seen that data available in report format.
VMTurbo has great dashboards
- Setting up automated reports
- Setting up automated fixes within a maintenance period
- Setting up security permissions
Easy
- Forcasting/using to plan future projects
Turbo charge your cluster Turbonomic

A tool that does it all!

Success with VMTurbo
- Cluster management is pretty bad
- AD groups not working correctly
Better, Cheaper, and Easier that's why
- Disaster recovery fail back is tough without prestaging information which isn't easily found.
- Setting up the monitoring UI for the NOC could be easier
- Real-Time placement can get you if you are patching. Make sure you set your patch windows correctly!
VMTurbo Review
- Importing templates for different profiles.
Fantastic software, required for vmare essentials
- The rules are overly complex and were left basically at default.
- Some of the terminology isn't intuitive although it's easy to find the answers.
VMTurbo - Take off in getting your infrastructure under control!
- Resource planning requires the configuration of the VM template details to be setup correctly
VMTurbo, the employee that is always on the job.
- Planning
- Workloads
- Un-focusing windows/tabs
Watch your VMs fly with VMTurbo!
- The Projection portion is a little cumbersome to configure and produce results.
VMTurbo with NFS
- I found the policy editor to be difficult to set-up.
- Planning for additional host returns crazy results after trying to be as accurate as possible with variables.
Why you need VMTurbo to reduce costs and increase efficiency. 5 minutes is all you need.
- None that I have encountered yet
VmTurbo roX
- Nothing. I am trying to think of something. I just can't.
