Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why
Not really; VMTurbo touts that it does a better job than DRS and sDRS, but for us at least, without many tiers and different environments, DRS and sDRS were fine at managing VM placement and sizing. Our group that manages VMs and cloud environments is fairly small, so managing it within our team has not been extremely difficult without VMTurbo
We are not yet using this feature. We do not allow Turbonomic to deploy the VMs for us yet. There are several decisions that go into deploying VMs in our Environment. Is it DR protected? What DR Tier? Etc. We haven't started looking into setting up Turbonomic to make decisions based on these criteria. Maybe one day, we'll use Turbonomic for this too.
We are a small scale company and we haven't used Turbonomic to automate or deploy. I have personally tested the same and it handled all the operations well. I would ideally use it to completely automate the environment so there are less manual tasks to worry about from the systems perspective.

VMTurbo has great dashboards
It allows VMs to be moved to better performing hosts, or if required assign more memory/CPUs to VMs that are under performing. This greatly improves performance and IT staff efficiency. I also like how the can reduce memory/CPUs to VMs that have been over allocated too.

Turbocharge your environment with VMTurbo!
With the ability to create logical clusters for load balancing workloads we now do not have to focus as much on which physical cluster we put new virtual machines on, but instead simply place it and allow Turbonomics to move as needed.

Easy
We used it for placement over vmware as we found it did a better job due to it holding a longer history of spikes and usages.

Turbo charge your cluster Turbonomic
It helps maintain a much more balanced environment.

A tool that does it all!
It allows us to manage our virtual environment automation, monitoring and trends from one location.

Turbonomic review for school district
We use it strictly for automatinig vmotion tasks to enable a balanced set of memory and CPU resources across our hosts. Once the parameters are set we are able to just let it work on its own, no further action is required. Also, we occasionally get into its reporting functions to verify certain vms have the resources they require.

TurboCharge your VMware environment, includes predictability engine!!
We have added automation to our environment and allowed Turbonomic to make decisions alongside of VMware DRS in the placement of workloads.

Turbonomic 5.8 Application Edition
It's changed the way we manage the environments by reducing the amount of time we actually have to manage it manually. Automation is the key here.

Enormous Software not only for optimizing VMs
Turbonomic is very good!
Definitely yes Turbonomic (formerly VMTurbo) has changed the way you manage virtual and cloud environments as many of the robust tasks are being taken care by Turbonomic so IT staff can be utilized for an upper-level productive approach which can speed up customer requests coming in.

Turbonomic, can you afford to ignore it?
Turbonomic should be used as a control and automation platform; just using the monitoring feature is really a waste of investment. Generally, customers should use the vMotion and Storage vMotion functionality for test and development clusters and as they gain confidence, use this in production infrastructure as well. After that, customers can start investigating the advanced use of the Policy engine to solve business and technical problems.
It has certainly changed the manual processes and allows us to be confident that any adjustments and provisioning decisions do not need to be micromanaged and can happen now in the background with minimal or no supervision. That in turn allows us to focus on production rather than support.

Simple and gets the job done!
We haven't deployed full automation due to restrictions on boundaries, but a hybrid case of manual review of suggestions made by turbonomics before implementing. since it is a relatively small environment, its provides us still the direct insight without causing us to spend too much time on it.

Turbonomic is nothing but Awesome!
In the past we relied on VMware DRS to make all performance related decisions as it related to the ESXi hosts. As our environments and workloads became more and more complex - we realized that we needed a tool to help us better understand where our hot spots were. With the analytical data Turbonomic provides, we are now able to scale both horizontally and vertically without jeopardizing the availability and uptime of our platforms.

I'd almost rather see Turbonomic running for president
We have utilized the automation functionality before, but are not currently using it. We're basically control freaks, so we look at the recommendations that Turbonomic makes, and decide whether or not to apply them. If we do apply them (which is what happens most of the time), then we apply the change from within the Turbonomic interface.

At first, we used Turbonomic's automated placement feature and we allowed it to move VMs around at its discretion. We ended up disabling it at most sites because it was violating policies that we had in place to prevent problems. As far as automated provision and sizing, we have not used these features.

Turbonomic Review from Solutions Architect
We're currently looking at how we need to change based on automated decision processes.

Turbonomic manage and optimize my multi hypervisors enviroments
We didn't have information about our virtual infrastructure, to optimize the environment. Rather, we consistently bought a lot of servers to solve application performances issues.

Better, Cheaper, and Easier that's why
Overall I found the ease of use and fanatical support for this product refreshing in the me-too virtual systems management space. This company is doing many of the more important things you get with VROPS better than VMWare. I find they are very responsive in helping us with any issues as well as enabling us to become more proactive with less manpower.

We have come to rely on VMturbo heavily in these past years, we aren't actually sure what we'd do without it at this point. We have changed how we ourselves manage it all. As instead of spending hundreds of hours monitoring and moving and changing things ourselves, we instead log in to VMturbo to make sure it's still working as we intend it to do, 5% of the effort of doing all this manually.
