What is Twist: Team Messaging?

Twist is a communication tool designed for teams that are burned out by real-time, all-the-time communication. The software was created to help remote or hybrid-working teams communicate efficiently and in a more organized manner. It aims to encourage focused work while minimizing the interruption of constant emails, chats, and meetings.

With Twist, conversations don't get buried with threads as one topic only has one thread instead of a stream of team chat. Its super-specific tagging feature allows you to ensure that only the intended teams see your messages, keeping focus on what's relevant in your inbox. Additionally, notifications are kept to a minimum because processes can be marked done to reach Inbox Zero easily.

To support effective remote collaboration further, Twist enables guests outside the team to join specific channels and participate in project discussions. Communication history is searchable at any time thanks to its fast search capabilities and provides access even after weeks or years have passed. You can also import everything from Slack and connect with other asynchronous working tools like Google Drive & Asana while setting up Zoom, Skype or Jitsi Meet meetings within Twist itself.

Boring - It's messaging without any kind of twist

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Twist for project-related communication. Team members are assigned to project chats to help keep conversations focused and on track. This provides for an archive of relevant conversation.

Each project gets its own channel, and the appropriate team members are assigned.

We can post text, share images, and attach files as needed to keep a project on track.

Within each channel, we can have separate conversations for different issues/tasks.
