Frequently Asked Questions

Uberflip is a content marketing platform from the Toronto company of the same name. Central to Uberflip is its content hub for aggregating, centralizing, organizing, and finally curating content for delivery to targeted audiences in streams, culminating in the call-to-action (CTA). Uberflip also contains analytics that show how effective these CTAs are (and in what context they are effective or not) so poor content can be confidently dropped in favor of what works. For $200 monthly the user gets Essential edition, containing the hub, three custom content streams, the Flipbooks feature for twenty PDF files (basically to organize the files and publish them in a more interesting, interactive format), three calls-to-action, and access for one team member. For $600 and $1800 (or $500 and $1500 if billed annually), the Expert and Elite plans, respectively, increase the volume of all of these, permit gated content, automation and advanced behaviors, more advanced analytics, support, and advanced customization for larger content marketing teams.

To organize, deploy, and track content on our website for consumption by our future customers. It interfaces nicely with our MarTech Stack and users can easily upgrade with new content with ease.
  • Organizing Content
  • Align by type
  • Track consumption
  • Updates are a breeze
  • The interface is a bit wonky at first for newcomers
  • There should be a best practice schematic available for first initial deployment
  • Allow certain items (blog) to be stored on customers website pages
For customers new to a content management tool, Uberflip is a good first choice in setting up and deploying content. If you do not have tons of content, best to just stage on your website.
  • Provides more qualified leads to Sales
  • Allows you to segment content into specific streams
  • Allows for quick and easy change out of content or updates
Uberflip provides more qualified leads to our sales team by virtue of the consumption of certain content streams. Sales could see what content was consumed, thereby validating the MQL, and starting the sales cycle sooner faster. We were able to shorten our sales cycles and achieve our revenue goals by using Uberflip.
Set-up is a breeze and Uberflips customer service during installation was paramount. We were able to deploying sooner using their expert knowledge, and they were available whenever we needed additional support (which by the way was included in the purchase price).
SnapApp is a sister company of Uberflip. We had great results (2500 leads created within the year) and allowed our Sales Team to overachieve on our revenue goals.

Marketing is the major host of Uberflip on an on-going basis.
  • Seamless deployment of content
  • Segment consumption streams by type
  • Generated qualified leads for the Sales Team
  • Connection to Marketo programs to show consumption in SFDC
  • Launching new content by replacing expired content
  • Gating content mid-stream to gather more info on interest levels
  • Expand streams to include podcasts and YouTube Videos
  • Add a sales stream for more interested prospects
  • Show live demos of products to expedite qualified leads
Uberflip was a game changer in our ability to host, stage and deliver content to our interested prospects.

It is being used by our sales and marketing team to power our resource center. It solves the issue of having an easy to use, easy to publish, CMS style tool that various stakeholders can all utilize to create both general content as well as customized content. We run a lot of ABM programs so we benefit from the features it has to create custom streams of content and send them to our high value prospects.
  • Tagging for easy creation of content streams
  • Integrations with various media sources for quick import
  • Out-of-the-Box Analytics
  • CRM/MAP integration
  • Hub design and customization - takes way too long to make changes
  • Explanation up front of what Uberflip can and can't do, its not a robust tool for building content directly within it, its better as a way to aggregate content across sources.
  • More integrations with other ABM tools
  • Pricing structure can be a bit rigid, allow for more customization based on company needs
If you want an easy to use media aggregation tool that can bring in all of your content types from various sources. It is also great to serve as the tool for creating and publishing articles and blog posts. It is good for custom content and ABM style programs. It is less appropriate if you are looking for a true CMS where you can customize the types of pages and content you are creating and publishing with templated layouts.

TL;DR It is not a Wordpress replacement, but a complement.
  • Sales Enablement
  • Personalization at Scale
  • Positive ROI, can tie directly to Uberflip content hub
Yes, they have certainly benefitted from being able to curate content for a prospect and customize the look and feel with their logo. We have also been able to include CTAs with a reps calendar directly on them for easy follow up. Overall a solid sales enablement tool that could create opportunities and pipeline for ABM programs and general demand marketing.
It is easy once you get the hang of it and understand what you can and can't do in Uberflip. As mentioned before, there are some limitations around what you can actually create natively in Uberflip, its pretty much just blog posts unless you do customizations on content types where you can have things like case studies reflect with different styling. Everything else in terms of content format must be brought in through integrations. Once you have all of your content imported its very simple.
Ceros is a completely different type of tool, and didn't have the full functionality we needed. PathFactory was good but lacked some ABM features for customization. Overall, we chose Uberflip because of all the integrations and ABM functionality we were after. They also wow'ed us with their sales pitch. I think we made the right choice.

  • Account-Based Marketing
  • Custom Content Hubs
  • Content Management
  • Tying ad campaigns directly to a custom landing page for increased engagement
  • Leveraging bombora intent signals to customize content on a dynamic landing page
  • Linking directly to sales team calendars through our hub
  • Event based content hubs
  • Host podcasts
It checks all the boxes for us. After working through initial hurdles such as time intensive customizations and branding, and understanding the capabilities it really did show us that it can power our content machine while having a lens of account based marketing on top.

I would recommend Uberflip to any company serious about creating content custom to account-based needs.

  • Product Usability
Product features and ease of use were the top considerations. We wanted something that could do everything we want and didn't take a ton of resources to get there and Uberflip did that and more.
Understand what we do and don't need to customize in our contract. There were features we didn't use and other aspects that we needed more of like custom branding hours. If we could have made a trade off to lose a feature and get more of those hours I think we would have been happier with our decisions there. If we are talking broadly about comparing vendors, I think just having a clear list of requirements versus nice to haves would make it easier.

We use Uberflip as our content management and experience platform across our marketing team. It allows us to organize our content by use case, audience, funnel stage and more to deliver more relevant and personalized content journeys to our buyers. Additionally, Uberflip's features enhance our digital marketing strategies by helping us track content consumption better, prop up SEO, and extend the life of all mediums of content.
  • Uberflip helps us build personalized content journeys to help users find the information they need most quickly and nurture themselves through the funnel.
  • Uberflip's on brand experience helps us technical manage and administrate our content in a way that serves our digital marketing strategy on the backend, and presents beautifully on the front end.
  • Uberflip's capabilities support our SEO strategy so we can capitalize on more traditional marketing content that in PDF form.
  • The on-brand capabilities are very robust but do require creative expertise. I would recommend an implementation package if you want to have a beautiful hub and high brand standards.
  • The regular Uberflip hub and sales streams are really intended for marketing and ABM; it's not a solve for all of your sales enablement needs (like training, dynamically recommended content, etc.) I'd recommend their Sales Enablement product for that or coupling with another solution.
  • The usage analytics are great, but we're still working on aligning them to our reporting system (which is pretty advanced).
Uberflip solves for some of the biggest, most common B2B marketing challenges all in one place. We're able to take buyers along a content journey and serve up the content that resonates most with them. And on the back end, all of the features give us the power to optimize SEO, get content-specific engagement insights and the flexibility to serve up content onbrand and where we want it.

Uberflip is only as good as the effort you invest in it. If you don't have enough content, this isn't going to deliver much value. If you don't have content folks (or supporting marketing members) that understand the ins and outs of digital marketing, a lot of Uberflip's power is going to go to waste. It's a tool that is fairly easy to use, but I would say that it really shines when you have the talent internally to power it.
  • Reduced administration time for content marketing
  • Increased SEO value of all mediums
  • Expecting increases in lead to MQL volume, and further funnel acceleration
We have a sales enablement platform to fuel training and in the moment recommendations for reps. Uberflip is primarily used for content marketing use cases and for users to self-nurture through content journeys.
It's incredibly easy and fast to implement. The longest part is a content audit if you haven't done one, and then we invested quite a bit in our on brand experience. We phased our implementation into a V1 and V2. V1 we did in less than a month (including audit, tagging, technical implementation and roll out) and then V2 was a bigger investment into on brand and RSS feeds took an additional 3-4 weeks.
Uberflip's strengths seem to be in the organization and delivery of content journeys, the measurement of content engagement and integration into a broader digital marketing strategy (SEO capabilities, embedding on pages, partnerships and integrations).

Content marketing, demand generation
5
Marketing ops, web design, web development (heavy during implementation, light post implementation), content marketing / digital channels (daily/weekly)
  • Content by buyer journey/personas/use cases
  • Personalized content delivery
  • Improve lead to MQL conversion
  • Improve pipeline velocity
  • We used Uberflip for our website's resource center
  • We'll look into using multiple hubs to support multilingual internationalization
  • We'll use Uberflip to support ABM content strategy
This serves all of our content marketing needs, but our sales team does need a more robust sales enablement solution. It's hard to have the engagement/usage data for different kinds of content in disparate systems. But I've looked for years and been unable to find a one-size-fits-all solution to solve all marketing and sales enablement use cases.

We had two main goals when we decided to start using Uberflip. One was to create an area on our site where all of our content could live in one place. This meant we needed our blog, ebooks, white papers, social posts, etc. all together. We couldn't easily do this with HubSpot and Drupal as ebooks required forms on landing pages which weren't part of the RSS feed for the blogs and weren't pulled in with the API. We also wanted to get our calls-to-action and forms converting at a higher rate to generate more leads. With Uberflip we're using overlay CTAs and pop up CTAs instead of just a CTA that requires yet another click to a landing page with yet another submit button. As the marketing director, I use Uberflip daily and two of our front end developers have learned the product as well to help me implement some of the embedded features on our Drupal site.
  • Customer service and on-boarding! One of the best experiences I've ever had.
  • The knowledge base is amazing. It has great step-by-step guides and unique ideas of how to use Uberflip.
  • Calls-to-action are easy to integrate with marketing automation software and look nice. They expand and have lots of options and can even pass directly to smart lists in HubSpot for us.
  • Uberflip started out as simply a flipbook (ebook) product so there are still a few things they need to update - they have been moving full steam ahead it seems like but a few little things get left behind (i.e. the confirmation emails still call flipbooks "issues" which can be confusing.)
  • I'd like to have more CTAs - though the Optimizely integration helps a little with this.
  • Some of the settings are very granular so if you change one thing you may have to change it in many places. It'd be great to have an option on features like "just this flipbook, everything in this folder, all folders, etc."
Uberflip is really great if you have a large library of content and are active on social networks. However, if you don't have a lot of content just yet I still think it would be great to start using Uberflip now if you plan to create content consistently moving forward. It might be even easier to organize your content if you're starting from scratch than working to import and organize hundreds of blogs and ebooks.
  • Better resource center for our current clients.
  • Higher converting CTAs - more leads.
  • More engagement with our blog posts.
I didn't really look at many similar products. Honestly, Uberflip reached out to us and had the perfect solution for us. Their sales process - from the first email Matt sent me to our launch day - was absolutely fantastic. They sold us on their product but also on working with them as a company.

Marketing definitely uses it. Our front-end developers helped with embedding the Hub on our Drupal site.
  • We wanted to get all of our content in one place.
  • We use custom streams to deliver segmented groups of content to our different buyer personas.
  • We A/B test our calls-to-action using Uberflip and Optimizely
  • We have put our case studies in Uberflip and integrated them with our custom streams.
  • We are finding more ways to use flipbooks/ebooks for things like resources just for customers.
The tool is easy to use and does exactly what we wanted it to do. Plus working with Uberflip has been absolutely fantastic.
  • Implemented in-house
Yes
The Uberflip team gave us a great outline to work through our on-boarding and set up. We set up our Hub, added our content, embedded our Hub, updated SEO information and then launched.
  • We had a few small questions but it was nothing Emilie couldn't always answer easily.
  • We wanted the background of our site to match the background of our Hub. Since we couldn't make it white and didn't have a high enough level account for custom style, we ended up changing the background of that page of our site so the white container was grey like our Hub.
Set up folder settings the way you want before cloning folders! Saves so much time!
  • Online training
It wasn't exactly training but there was a step by step check list of things in a project the Uberflip team shared with me. There were links to helpful articles on it that walked me through how to set things up.
The support and the team at Uberflip is THE BEST!!! They are seriously so great. They got to know me on a personal level and really cared about getting my Hub set up the way I wanted and they want my Hub to be successful. They even took a few of us out to dinner when they were in my area for a marketing event. They are always there to help me and only a quick email or phone call away.
No
Absolutely! I had forgotten how to change one setting and I emailed Emilie. She immediately responded with a little gif recording showing me exactly what to do. She even told me the tool she used in case I wanted to record what I was doing and send it to her to see if I was missing something. Every experience with Uberflip has been great but this one in particular was really top notch.
  • Uploading and editing flipbooks.
  • Creating forms and integrating fields with marketing automation.
  • Changing settings on a folder-specific level but for all your folders.
It was easy to learn and while it definitely took time to get everything set up and working the way I wanted, it wasn't difficult. There was plenty of support and knowledge center tools as well.
They are seriously the best!!! I had such a great experience working with Uberflip I feel like I have new friends too.
So great. They got even MORE helpful after the sale. They really care about my Hub and its success.
