As a user experience agency, running user tests is essential. We have numerous clients that hire us to explore what works or what doesn't work for their users. Our research team has been using Userlytics for over 3 years now.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Fast response rate
  • Implementing new features
  • Usability of its platform
  • Simpler pricing model (it always takes so much time to explain to someone new, how Userlytics works)
It is an excellent resource for user testing, especially when it comes to using the Userlytics user panel. I would love to see them add a recruiting part and communication with potential users, in case we need to bring our own panel.
  • Software that allows us to see a user's screen
  • "Trained" users
  • Metrics
  • Definitely positive, I would say about 30%.

Userlytics helps me to download the recordings to my device, Highlighting is a useful feature. Mainly it gives unbiased outcomes that help to improve the product significantly. I have the flexibility in detail what participants I intent to use, the filters are really good to get good insights for your design. Overall useful product.
  • Unbiased results
  • Pre user tests
  • Integration with other tools
  • Quick Feedback
  • User interface
  • Mobile support
  • Consolidation of Results
It is well suited for companies which can not afford expensive focus group or even if you are looking for unfiltered opinions, then Userlytics is a great platform.

However, there are better alternates in the market which have a similar price point and can do a lot better. Like User feel etc.
  • Bugs Identification
  • Userflow
  • Heat MAP of focus areas where users are inclined to
  • Definite improvement in the design phase
  • Helps in requirement modification
  • Faster time to market
Userlytics can be a good alternate in terms of price point and has a better integration of apps like invision which helps.
Mobile recording needs to be improved. Nowadays, competitors are way better in terms of functionality comparision.

However getting the right set of users is difficult and Userlytics does that job very well.

It's a good way to get a feel for other user interface websites to know how the functionality works as an end user. It gives us ideas of what to do versus what not to do.
  • Testing websites
  • Taking feedback
  • Providing testing opportunities to end users
  • I think they could offer more functionality
  • There could be more variety of tests
  • They could do more wide spectrum of types of websites
It's a great concept and you're awarded for your time when you fit the criteria for a test. It gives you an opportunity to provide feedback.
  • More ideas
  • Better grasp on functionality of website
  • An idea of how the websites work on a phone platform
I have not seen anything close to Userlytics to compare.
I am neutral because I've never had support interaction.
I think it's very user friendly. I think it gives you a chance to get a feel for websites you may not previously have experience with nor have otherwise experienced. It's also a great way to give input and help shape functionality of business you may enjoy or have further interest in.

We use Userlytics to conduct research on our client's websites. This allows us to gain real-life user insights on the UX of a website. It also allows us to gain direct user feedback about websites. We use Userlytics to recruit users, give them a set of tasks on a website and ask for feedback throughout. We receive a video of the site being used by the user with audio feedback.
  • On Userlytics it is easy to set up test and the required tasks.
  • Userlytics offer you transcription services, which can save a lot of time; rather than watch and transcribe the full video yourself, they can do this for you.
  • You can request to recruit particular people, with options like device, country and the use of prescreening questions.
  • When recruiting mobile users, you can only choose Android OR iPhone, you cannot gather a selection of both. (Although to resolve this you can duplicate the test, having one for Android and one for iPhone. It is more inconvenient than anything).
  • The credit system is a little confusing, as you pay for credits, which account for an amount of time a user spends on the test. E.G. one credit = 15 minutes. It's sometimes hard to estimate how many credits you will need as some users naturally take a lot longer than others.
Userlytics would be appropriate to use if you were investigating UX on your website, or wanted to identify any pain points which could be causing lower conversion rates. Not only will it be a way to gain direct user feedback, but it enhances your visual ability to see how a user progresses through your website. It is well suited if you have less time to conduct moderated user research at a facility or a client doesn't quite have the budget for that. It may be less appropriate if a client wants a bigger project with larger budgets and more time. In this case, moderated, face-to-face research may be more appropriate.
  • Userlytics has positively affected our business as we have gained valuable insight for multiple clients about their website.
  • Userlytics has helped by giving us a fast recruitment tool for user research.
We used WhatUsersDo. However, the tool currently got bought out by a bigger company and were removing the remote research tool. We chose to use Userlytics as it stacked up well against competitors.
