Veeam Backup for AWS, the best solution for us!
We use Veeam Backup for AWS for a group of VM in IAS suscription. This VM have application for medical auditor on land. It is really importat to hace high availability of this VM al time. We use Veeam Backup for AWS to backup and restore this machine.
- Our operator have the same interface por restore on-premise as in cloud VM machine.
- Veeam Backup for AWS has a full integration with AWS Cloud Computing Platform
- The integration of Veeam One will be Great.
- We are using S3 repository. It is really hard to implement inmutable repository with out this service.
- The report of its jobs is a litle simple and we have to make inform manually of its jobs.
- The backup copy is difficult to operate and deploy.

- For us, is really importat control the cost of use of S3 account. This point doesn´t appear y reports.
- The integration to Veeam One (on-premise) to AWS platform isn`t possible. We have a manual report writer for compliace to SGSI.
Afther thar Veeam, our company had AWS Backup.When migrate to Veeam Backup for AWS inmediatly the operation and recovery time were less. We very like its efficiency and facility to operate. Our administrator and operator have skill on Veeam Backup and replication on premise. Then his trainning was faster and easier than AWS Backup.

We started to use AWS Backup on 2020. The product was good, good operation, short time recovery and a full integration to AWS ecosystem.
But, our team didn't like some feacture and the control of platform was poor.

We currently use Veeam Backup for AWS to backup our EC2s and as an integral part of meeting our SLAs as a fall back mechanism in the event of any failures or anomalies.

- It helps us as storing base line images prior to major releases or system upgrades

Easy to use.
Easy to do backups and saves lots of time during the restore process as everything is done via a simple user-friendly interface and less stress, and better quality. Backup and restore are now very fast, and the process is smooth and easy as long as you follow the training and manual. I love it.

Solid Solution for VM Backups
Currently used as a PoC to backup some VMs used to host some applications. This is in used in conjunction with other back-up solutions we already have in place.
- Live recovery.
- Relative ease of use for console.
- Snapshots provided.
- GUI could improve.
- Preliminary analysis shows it is cheaper to use Veeam Backup.
Currently cheaper than AWS Backup.

Initial analysis has seen that pricing for Veeam compared to other backup solutions is significantly cheaper for our use cases. Compared to other backup productions, Veeam has slightly more features (which we can potentially leverage in the future) and is much easier to use relative to other backup solutions.
Our evaluation and selection process was relatively robust in that we've analyzed the market with their advertised back up solutions through various feedback loops. Any solutions that did not manage to meet our selection criteria or had information which was hard to receive was cut out from the selection process. However, if there was one thing we had to change, we would have loved to bring in an SME on Veeam (and other various products) for a more thorough comparison.

whenever, however and wherever we need it. We would never consider an
option that cannot do that.Against competitors, the service that we received from Veeam
