Vidyard helps us connect with our customers and prospects in a very profound way. This is such a needed product now more than ever. We live in an age where email inboxes are way too cluttered and people hardly ever answer their phone if they don't recognize their number. Vidyard truly helps you stand out compared to other old-school sales teams. We use it for both outbound and inbound marketing/communication/sales reach-outs. It's helpful for every step of the process. Getting someone interested in attending a demo, following up with them after a demo, thanking them for signing up, and following up with them after they go through implementation to see if there are any other products that they could benefit from using.
  • It's easy to use on the chrome browser extension. I can quickly record videos to send to both other teammates, prospects, and customers.
  • It's very helpful to see if a video has been watched and how much of the video was watched.
  • It's easy to embed videos into emails.
  • It's easy to record one video to use for many different prospects/customers.
  • Sometimes the chrome browser doesn't work. I occasionally have to quit chrome and relaunch it. Seems to only be an issue on my second screen not on my regular laptop.
  • It would be awesome if there was some sort of onboarding library on how to use all of the functionality. Our rep helped us get started with Vidyard a long time ago, but now we have many new team members who we have all hired remotely. Our team definitely doesn't use the product to its fullest capacity
  • It would be nice if the videos could have some sort of quick survey afterward. Ex: a prospect watches a video and answers a couple of questions afterward.
Vidyard has been critical for our team in many ways. One way that we didn't realize how much we'd be using it is for training new teammates while we're all working remotely. I frequently use the chrome extension to record a video of how to do something to send to our whole team or certain teammates. There are other products that do that, but this seems to be the most efficient, easiest, and quickest. Vidyard is incredibly useful for both inbound, and outbound sales and marketing strategies. It helps us increase our open and click rate for emails and overall engagement for our customer journey.

I use Vidyard every day, Basically, it saves a lot of time. We have experienced that maintaining our customers is a lot of work and service is key for this success. We have a lot of sales representatives and so many of us maintaining relationships with them. We use Vidyard to be more close to the customers, we design videos to improve the use of the products and it leads to digital evangelization, renewing semester after semester. We use salesforce to keep control of the after-sales follow up and we put our videos on it. When speaking about users, students are happy to see not only a presenting laptop but the person who supports them.

I use Vidyard to prospect into new accounts and to follow up on opportunities. I have used it for the past five years and seen a lot of success, reaching into some of my largest accounts with unique and personalized outreach has been a game-changer. Some of my largest deals have come from video prospecting with Vidyard and it has caught the attention of C-level prospects and opened doors that otherwise would be impossible to open.

Vidyard is amazing if you are trying to target high-level prospects and cut through the noise of text-heavy emails. I have had great success with Vidyard as a corporate rep and several of my colleagues have as well. They blocked the ad on so new reps can't add it anymore, which has been annoying for them because reps that have been at our company longer get that extra advantage of video prospecting.

Our business development team uses Vidyard weekly. We're trying to solve one issue - lack of personalization. We have found that our prospects are receiving hundreds of emails from sales teams weekly and we need to find a way to stand out. Vidyard makes this easy because we can put a face to the name through our funny, personalized videos. We try to send out at least 2 videos a day and we have seen great results from our efforts.

Our sales team uses Vidyard every week. The business development team uses this platform the most to connect with prospects. This platform has been essential for our team ever since we started working from home. We can now put a face to the name with our personalized videos. This tool helps us with our outreach and personalization. We love sending videos to prospects that have downloaded content, watched a webinar, or even requested a demo. Our team also loves analytics. Our team will continue to use this platform especially now that we're all working from home. It's a great way to put a face to the name. We love sending over videos with drawings or messages on mini-whiteboards. We've had a lot of success getting prospects to respond to our emails from these videos.

Vidyard plugs into our sales cadencing software, Salesloft. With the emails we have in each cadence, Vidyard allows us to insert an animated gif to get the prospect’s attention. With initial outreach, it can be tough to cut through the clutter of someone’s Inbox. Vidyard allows us to do that.

Perfect integration for anything you’re doing from a sales cadencing approach. I would recommend Vidyard if you’re in an SDR-type role or some type of early-in-the-funnel business development type of position. It is probably less appropriate if most of your work is further down the pipeline and you’re focused primarily on closing deals.

We are looking for ways to stand out from other emails. How to be more engaging and video is a great way to do that. People are more likely to watch a short video than read a text. It's been great so far and we are looking to get more licenses.

Vidyard is an incredible all-in-one video tool. We use it to quickly share videos internally and externally, we also embed them on our websites, track analytics on them. We also used this to sync and push to Youtube Channels. We also have a robust system in place for collecting leads off of these videos and have CTAs and other campaigns attached. We also use their video hub feature that catalogs and categorizes all of our videos into different sections. Lastly, we use the deep integration with Hubspot to get all of the data into our CRM.

We have a robust content marketing program and need a place to host and quickly share and track hundreds of videos and Vidyard is the perfect tool for this. We keep some videos internal and have one central place they are stored, and externally we can set up really nice sharing pages.

I primarily use Vidyard for prospecting to new business. I am able to showcase what I do without actually making direct face-to-face contact with a potential buyer. The software allows me to gauge interest based on how many views I get on the video. The platform is also suuuuper customisable when it comes to what information I present and how I present it. Sometimes I record a video of myself out in front of the business I am calling on, and sometimes I record a screen share with myself in a bubble explaining what I'm looking at on the screen. Love this tool a lot, it has been a huuuuge money maker for me.

We are using Vidyard across our revenue departments (namely Sales and Client Success) to help include video as part of our regular reach outs to prospects and clients. Video has become a part of our prospecting efforts on the sales side and has become part of regular communications on the client success side.

Vidyard is being used across our entire organization. We started using it for SDR outreach, marketing, and customer support. Now we use it internally to help out our colleagues as well. The biggest impact has been on the SDR and Support depts. It makes our cold emails/phone calls more personal, leading to deeper engagement and faster sales cycles. It has also helped reduce the support workload by scheduling fewer calls and simply answering questions with a quick video tutorial tailor-made to our customer's needs that they can watch at their convenience.

Our Marketing team is using Vidyard to host, share and track views of videos. Being able to easily host videos and embed them in emails and our websites has been life-changing. We are also easily able to make the videos available to the rest of the organization (primarily Sales) to share in their prospecting efforts.

  • Option to create longer animated previews, 10 seconds is great for Sales but Marketing wants more.
  • Slightly improved UI for the backend when searching through various folders. View of folders is limited so you have to scroll a lot, would be great to be able to see at least 15 folders in a single view.
If you're in Marketing and you have videos, you need this. Embedding videos into our blogs have taken our blogs to a whole new level. Our Sales team is able to access videos easily without having to spend long periods of time searching for something.

Our organization is using Vidyard differently than a typical business case. We have outside sales reps all across the country visiting gun ranges, training facilities, and retail stores pitching our memberships. We utilize Vidyard solely internally for video communication and compliance review. Reps submit video recordings that go to our QA team for review. Our chat and email communications are not always read by those out in the field, traveling class to class. We aim to keep admin responsibilities to a minimum for those out in the field. We share video announcements and training to allow for a better open and response rate with those out in the field.

Sharing video communications between clients or co-workers is quick and easy. Organizing the hub is simple and easy to view. There have been some things to overcome with our internal use case. Most of our users solely use an iPad, and the app is not currently built for that device. In our current situation, we don't share or embed any videos for the public. While there may be opportunities for this in the future, currently, everything is internal. I am looking forward to the manager user setting!

Our organization uses Vidyard to provide better branding, calls to action, video watch analytics in marketing efforts, and to enable better sales conversations with all of the above. It is primarily used by individuals from the marketing team for emails, pushing to other video platforms, and website embeds, and by sales who record and send videos themselves.

Vidyard is great for an easy-to-use chrome extension for recording, sharing, and tracking videos. It's helpful for demos, training, and just sending friendly, personal, asynchronous video communication - especially when a screen share is involved. I like it because I can click to activate my chrome browser extension to start recording, then send over an animated thumbnail of my recording in minutes. Then, people can watch at their leisure instead of scheduling time to video chat together.

Our Marketing department uses Vidyard to host all our videos. This ranges from product demos and overviews, to recorded webinars and company interviews. We also use Vidyard to play looping GIF-like background videos. Vidyard makes it easy to manage all our videos on our website and on landing pages via email campaigns. Before Vidyard we used Youtube and that had too many limitations.
  • Analytics - I like to see how many people have watch a video, where, and for how long. This is great data for future videos and how we use them.
  • Events - Events allow you to add more to your videos such as forms, links, pop outs and more to engage even more with the viewer and for us ultimately get them to contact us to learn more.
  • Sharing/Embedding - After I finish uploading a video and configuring the player Vidyard makes it easy to share the embed code for adding to our website. I like the control of adding variables to the code such as setting the default play quality (1080p).
  • Inline Embed Code - We have a very responsive website and for some reason the embed code that Vidyard provides won't work well with our site. Things are unaligned or don't show up at all. To get around this we have to use the Lightbox embed code, which is fine, but it would be nice if they had a better solution for sites like ours that don't play nice with their code.
  • Filters - There should be an option to set a Filter globally and it's set the next time I log in. Currently I have to reapply a filter every time I log in and to every video in order to get the accurate reporting I need. Mainly excluding my views and my co-workers views.
I think overall Vidyard is a great product and I would recommend them to any small to mid-size business. I would assume larger/enterprise size businesses would require a lot more reporting options. Vidyard is perfect if you are looking at an alternative to hosting all your videos on Youtube and want to cleanly display them all on your website.

Within the Customer success department, we use Vidyard to save the recordings of the online meetings, Webinars, Video training material, and online training. Besides this, the tool allows for easy sharing with customers while still remaining in control of who gets access to the video. I like it because it doesn't require my customers to use specific tools to review the recording.

  • there is no easy way to edit any video's

Vidyard serves as a way for our AEs and BDs in the sales org to reach out to folks and show the human side of our business. It is used by both the Sales and Partner Success team to introduce ourselves and services to our customers. It addresses the issue of non-human interaction of email.

We use Vidyard as a sales enablement and training tool. Our sales team uses it for outreach or to send recorded demos, our services team uses it to record trainings or workflow examples to send to customers.

I would recommend for sales outreach and knowledge transfer to large groups who are hard to gather. With the tracking, it increases ability to hold individuals accountable for watching it. We also leverage for the sales to services handoff, it's easy to record a video that all on the account team can watch for a download of the new account.

Our company uses Vidyard for video hosting, sales enablement and metrics. Our platform is connected to Marketo and Salesforce, so it is used primarily by marketing and sales. The main benefit our organization gets from Vidyard is the metrics. We can set performance indicators for individual videos, track their success in reaching these indicators, and make changes if they fail to do so.
  • Account management. Our account manager has been great, with us every step of the way, making adjustments, answering questions etc.
  • Support. Vidyard's support team is very responsive.
  • Engagement. Vidyard does a great job engaging with their clients. We feel like they want us to do well.
  • Player options
  • Reports. The reports you can export with Vidyard, which would be very useful for internal reporting, are not functional. Some data is not included.
Vidyard is the perfect solution for Marketing departments who run a lot of video campaigns. You can set goals for an individual video, measure that video's success against your goals, and make changes as necessary. The platform is also great with a Salesforce integration, as you can give your sales team easy access to any video they want, so they can engage with leads, clients and contacts.

For the most, part Vidyard is being used as a training tool, but we also use it for employee introductions. It's being used across the whole company. We've found that it is extremely helpful when we create knowledge base articles to be able to include a quick screencap video along with a write up. It's almost 100% necessary with more complex application setups I'd say.

  • Set up an instructional library of videos.

  • Ability to gate videos after a certain amount of time
  • Set up of an action for the user to take after the video is complete.
  • For my main purposes, it has no cons. it does exactly what I want it to do.
  • When I embed vidyard into pages, sometimes it can be particular about getting sizing right for desktop/mobile
  • I don't love it when you screencap a video but it only is screencapping a particular tab, so if you need to change tabs for the video, it will not record the new tab you've opened. I understand that this is a feature, but i don't find it helpfu.
I think Vidyard is great for some quick step by step how-to videos on how to use a particular software or a particular workflow. I also think that it's great for quick employee introduction videos. I don't think it's great for an overly complex situation, such as very detailed out of office documentation that you may want to refer back to several times over a period of days/weeks.

Prospecting, used for getting attention. Great way to break through the noise. Currently only being used by Sales for prospecting new surgeons or elaborating on quotes! The biggest problem it addresses is being able to create a pattern disruption when attempting to get the attention of someone who has never seen your product.

Well suited for sales, as we have been using it to do the majority of our prospecting thru at least two different touchpoints. Vidyard is being used in 2 main ways. The first is for outbound sales to show how our product is being used. The second is to show how our customers can use our product. A lot of troubleshooting is done this way and we are able to show exactly how we can fix something.
  • Chrome extension works really well.
  • Easy to share videos with others.
  • The Web Application has an easy to use UI.
  • Sometimes the video takes a long time to render.
  • The UI is nice to look at, but can be a bit confusing.
  • The Chrome extension has more functionality than the web application.
The only real issue is the rendering time. Also, the Chrome extension works better than the web app. Using the web app is difficult at times, but it does work. I think that Vidyard is great when trying to capture a quick screen share so that you can share it with prospects.

We use Vidyard to increase click rates on prospecting emails. Surgeons & their gatekeepers get cold calls/cold emails but with Vidyard we are able to create a more personal touch and human interaction that is helping with click rates from both the end-user and the gatekeeper. We have also found the tool useful to quick document walkthroughs such as quotes. Once again, creating a human interaction with the supply chain/administrator who typically deals with reps through emails until late in the process.

I find Vidyard is well suited for outreach, document explanation, project management, and human interactions such as birthdays & work anniversaries. I would not use Vidyard as a replacement for general internal emailing or longer presentations. I also find it less appropriate to use with external customers where a relationship/human element is established (unless it is some personal touch like a birthday).

Vidyard has been good to reconnect with existing contacts in a unique/fun way. Has been good to reach out to new prospects while not having the opportunity to go face to face during COVID. It could be appropriate for any connection if used well and if videos are not too long.
