I can only comment on how it integrates with our Payroll collection system. We use PowerTrack in the field for time collection which integrates with Spectrum. It's nice that job/phases added in Spectrum are synced multiple times a day to PowerTrack, so there is no need to manually give employees access to phases and jobs anymore. This is a huge time saver.

Integration was the awful part of Viewpoint Spectrum, but we hated the old system so much that we all said we will key-in everything if we have to. There was a lot of tweaking to get all of our the information into Viewpoint Spectrum. We spent lots of Saturdays and hired several temporary workers, but we got it working. I don't think this was a Viewpoint Spectrum issue. I think this just goes to show how crappy our old system was!

Since I have been with Spectrum for a number of years, I think back on the early days of integration and it was somewhat tedious and complicated. Recently, my experience has been totally opposite. The new instruments they use to integrate other software with Spectrum is fairly easy.

Non-existent as far as I'm concerned. It was never really fully explained how much was classified as support vs. professional services. I believe that integration should include enough support to get you up and running on your core modules vs. referring to professional services. This has caused me to delay starting up many new processes because I have to figure a lot out myself. Once I do that, then I can contact support to fix what I broke because I didn't receive the proper documentation. The help files good but not great because if you use the wrong wording during a search it takes forever to find what you're looking for. I found that the same language is not used by users when reporting problems.

The integration between Procore and Viewpoint has its struggles with syncing or updating. Sometimes the sync is in real-time and other jobs haven't synced for days. Procore cannot provide budget/costs by date (end of the month) like Viewpoint. However, I believe this is a Procore issue, not Viewpoint. Procore budget may not be the same in costs to date as Viewpoint is sorting by a specified date.

Our experience with integration/implementation was not that good. At the time, it was Dexter-Chaney and the person sent out to do the install wasn't well organized and when he left, we actually thought we had made a mistake purchasing the software. However, we attended a conference and realized that other companies had different experiences. We also met with trainers we hired to come out and help us and that made a huge difference.

If by ease of integration with other products is the intended question, then this does not apply to my company.

If this is about how easy was it to transition into using Spectrum, then I would say that the process could afford to be improved. The initial conversion was messy and there is still data that unusable for us.

I have noticed that sometimes when importing vendor invoices there are errors that need to be manually corrected which I do not understand why the errors occur and it can be time consuming to correct those errors.

As to integration within your company, you really need to get good trainers from Spectrum, otherwise you will flounder and it will take more time for you to get your system up and running. You really need to have people dedicated to taking the time to really learn the system. I have found a lot of trial and error, as the training is not on par. They do have an import option for the integration of other software, but documentation is not where it should be.
