VIPRE is a versatile antivirus software that is widely used across organizations for its excellent security features and ease of use. Users have reported implementing VIPRE on various devices, such as Windows Servers and Windows 10 Pro workstations, and have found it to be reliable in providing virus protection and patch management. The software's small footprint and low resource consumption make it a preferred choice for many, as it allows for accurate exclusions and easy management through a centralized console. The Business Premium version offers an Enterprise console, which enables users to effectively manage users, computers, and servers with customizable policies.
VIPRE's effectiveness extends beyond the organization's premises, as it provides both remote and direct protection to all endpoints. Users have found the Endpoint Protection feature particularly beneficial in detecting and removing viruses, as well as assisting with software patching. This complements major software updates done through SUS and GPO. Additionally, VIPRE serves as a core solution for desktop antivirus and malware protection, offering reliable detection without significant performance degradation.
The software further enhances the organization's security by providing multiple layers of protection against malware, spyware, and phishing attempts. Users appreciate the aggressive notifications that alert them to potential issues promptly. In addition to these features, VIPRE includes a built-in spam module for Outlook, making it even more useful for desktops and laptops.
VIPRE's usefulness extends beyond individual workstations or servers. The software offers centralized management through a console installed on a server, allowing for easy control and deployment of antivirus measures throughout the organization. Customers have reported successful implementation of VIPRE across entire organizations, resulting in blocking a significant percentage of medium to high critical threats.
While VIPRE has been praised for its overall performance, some users have noted initial challenges with virus detection compared to other solutions. However, its fast, powerful, and easy-to-manage endpoint protection from malware and ransomware has made it an essential component in organizations' security strategies.

-
Lack of Windows XP Support: Some users have expressed frustration that VIPRE does not support Windows XP, which has caused inconvenience for those still using this operating system.
-
Absence of Web Portal for Chat Support: Several reviewers have mentioned the drawback of not having a web portal for online chat support, as they prefer this method of communication and find it lacking in VIPRE.
-
No Parental Controls: Users who want to prevent accidental or intentional uninstallation of virus and spyware protection by children have raised concerns about the absence of parental controls in VIPRE's features.

(1-16 of 16)An antivirus that meets expectations.
- Our organization's data is protected within a shield.
- No advanced virus and malware can attack our systems.
- It removes the viruses at a swift speed and works smoothly in the background.
Vipre - It's worth a look!
- Vipre pushed and update for device control last year. It caused our workstations to reboot every 20 min. They resolved it within a day - which to me was too long. But in the end, we got everything sorted out. This certainly caused pause for the next renewal cycle. We did end up sticking with them.
- Vipre helps keep us from having to touch every single computer we add to the domain. Remote deployment is one of my favorite features. Deploy on-demand is also good to have available - which it does.
- Patch management again - it is a key reason we stuck with Vipre. Endpoint protection is the way to go.
- VIPRE is not as expensive as some of the more popular solutions.
VIPRE keeps you protected like a hat
- Helped keep viruses from getting into a computer and on the network.
- Helped keep malicious links out of emails.
- Keep the network going without malicious programs running around slowing things down and collecting information.
- The VIPRE MSP program cost effectively lets me integrate protection into every endpoint I protect.
- Integration with ConnectWise for deployment and billing has increased our revenue.
- Integration with ConnectWise for management means we keep endpoint protection coverage consistently above 99% to secure our clients.
VIPRE Endpoint Security
- Vipre comes at a nice price point compared to its competitors. That is a plus.
- With all of the malware/ransomware occurrences of this past year, having Vipre made us all feel more secure.
VIPRE Endpoint Protection - a must have!!
- Low cost, great protection.
VIPRE - Great performance for great cost!
- Great performance for the price.
My Vipre Review
- The only negative impact is when we bought another company and I merged their pc's into our AD it took a long time to load Vipre remotely. If you can load it on the same site your server is you have a much shorter install time.
- I have found using Vipre along with Meraki MX routers, and Barracuda Email and Spam gateway you have a great 3 level of protection!
- Support is very helpful when you need assistance.
Vipre Slithers Through the Competition
- The ROI Vipre offers clearly makes a strong positive & cost effective impact in our office. The monthly savings alone for charging the same price on workstations as well as servers is a clear plus for this product.
- In a constantly more social media opened working environment, Vipre provides our office with strong preventive protection from being infected by data damaging viruses & spywares.
- If Vipre can successfully prevent attacks in the work environment, it can do an even more effective job to protect your home computing devices from virus & spyware attacks. The time saved from having to deal with the aftermath of an attack is immeasurable.
Vipre bites 'em
- Vipre has dramatically cut down on the number of malicious URLs that our users are exposed to through email.
Get bit by the best AV out there- Vipre
- We have had zero downtime due to a virus or exploit getting through the Vipre software capabilities.
- We saved over 3k$ over Symantec and others offers.
- The alerts that my IT team gets in real time has saved us from many issues as we intervened before users often knew there was the potential for problems, saving us time and money.
Small footprint does not mean small protection
- Cost effective protection
- No need to upgrade workstations
- Easy management even without management consoles.
GFI Vipre review for school district
- Price is very competitive, much cheaper than Norton or similar products. Not as cheap as say AVG but the patch management makes up for it. ROI is substantial in the number of hours it saves the department not having to patch and update computers.
Vipre is good for the price...Lousy Definitions.
- Great pricing point for resellers
- Did not have touch each pc. could push any changes from the cloud.
- Allowed me to invest more time in other areas of need.
- Positive = Able to recommend to other institutions and organizations who make inquiries of what antivirus should their business use for their computers and servers.
- Positive = Able to deploy Vipre easily across wide networks within 5 minutes. No longer the need to go to each workstation and install the agent. Allows system administrators to be efficient and focus on other objectives when it comes to new and existing client environments.
- Negative = Daily definition updates are typically between 100-150MB. Some workstations can be 1 to 2 days behind on threat definitions and have to be monitored on a daily basis to ensure reliability of automatic updates.
