We use Visual Studio Code in multiple areas of the business. Engineering team, the majority of us use the product and have come to use it often when we’re peer programming, too.
- Peer programming.
- Lots of plugins for eslint etc.
- Layout of the files.
Cons
- Too many buttons in one place sometimes. Learning curve is high.
- Would be good to be able to export and import productivity tool setup.
- Easy to create new components to copy and paste from another file.
- Fast and easy to debug.
- Good when it has plugins that will help with productivity.
For beginners, the other tools are easier to set up and run. It is also entirely customizable, but Visual Studio Code has more plugins that allow you to streamline your work.
