we use Vultr for our servers. We thought it would be a great hosting providers and is incredibly poor
They shut down my website on multiple occasions. We are a small business that requires our website to take bookings. They have shut it down and are not threating to destroy it in 48 hours. We have done absolutely nothing wrong or anything considering poor practives. DO NOT USE

Vultr is best suitable for cloud computing and VPS management systems. The best part of Vultr is providing the genius dashboards and monitoring the access controls. Even the performance management is so well from Vultr. The alerts and notifications based in our system is so good and acceptable for configuration managements.

  • saves time
  • Low maintenance
  • Saves a lot of money
This has helped our organisation very well by managing the businesses and providing the premium quality dashboards. This is one of the best cloud computing softwares we have ever using in our workflow. This saves a lot of our time and does the project management by it's own. This has the best features in it.

High-end, reliable, scalable and affordable cloud compute in different locations. We were able to easy deploy server nodes in different locations and scale them once it was need. The website is really good, it is fast, with intuitive and modern UI. The choice of servers and OS is rather wide. The only drawback is the support. They seem to be rude and negligant even if you are a long-time user. One of the reasons I stopped using Vultr as the main solution provider was the poor experience with the support. My account was blocked because I had a VPN enabled while accessing their website to manage my servers. They refused to unblock it until I presented a passport and a selfie, which is hillarious for such a service. I have no guarantee they are capable of keeping my passport photo safe.
  • Easy-to-use website
  • Easy-to-understand services and pricing
  • Different locations
  • Wide variaty of solutions and OS
  • Support quality needs to be improved
  • Attitude towards customer should change
  • It would be great to add more locations, in Eastern Europe and Asia
Solutions and pricing is great, the support quality is worse. It will be great to see more locations for servers.

  • Great network connection
  • Multiple Locations
  • Simple Interface
Vultrs offers rather good proportion of resources/price although it is not as cheap as other competitors of the same level. Solutions that Vulter offers are good but unlike others providers, they don't offer a complete set of solutions (apart from cloud, network, storage). This might be a drawback when choosing one single provider for all your needs.
I used servers in different locations however I would like to see more locations and better networks in Asia, particularly optimized network for China.
Creating multiple nodes in multiple locations helped us be near our customer in different territories.

We have a constant need for reliable hosting solutions. We run all kinds of web operations: websites, web services, file services, headless applications, etc. The main issue is always cost. The leading solutions like AWS or Azure are too complex and expensive to set up and maintain if you factor in the maintenance of the actual application we develop and run. Therefore we seek a simpler and more straightforward solution. For a long time, we were relying on Linode. However, we've been seeking an on-par solution for a while now. We tested several options and decided to choose Vultr.
  • Easy and straightforward UI.
  • Quick and effortless infrastructure deployment.
  • Simple and attractive pricing model.
  • Option to deploy predefined templates with a single click.
  • Option to pay for the costs with natively transferred cryptocurrencies.
Vultr is best suited to deploy classic web applications, web services, and websites. It's well suited for mid-level traffic but has a wonderful option of expanding the disk storage, making it very well suited to run applications and services that need to consume a lot of data but don't need a lot of computing power. It may not be well suited to run applications that rely on a vast number of web services and require a vast number of data centers.

  • It just works; we never had any hosting issues with Vultr.
  • It's pricing model is competitive and predictable.
We haven't used Vultr's resource optimizations to the full extent, but from our experience, the best thing we used was the flexible amount of storage that can be easily and quickly changed. Thanks to this, we paid just for the storage we needed and have the peace of mind that we can safely expand it once our applications grow beyond the current infrastructure.
We serve a global user base and never had an issue with Vultr in that regard. However, we did not notice a direct increase in our market reach due to Vultr's expansion into new regions.
Linode is a more old-school offering. Linode pricing model and infrastructure rely on classic Virtual Machines. What we like about Vultr is that they offer the same at the front, but in the back, the machines are much more flexible and can be tailor-made to our needs, which of course also impacts the costs of running the infrastructure.

We use Vultr for our US and UK servers for our SaaS platform.

  • Hosted MongoDB databases.
  • The billing portal sometimes doesn’t show invoices on I’ve seen but this isn’t major as they usually show the next day.
It has a great developers API which can speed up provisioning of new servers.

  • Increased uptime compared to other providers we have used
Vultr has been such a great host for us, their prices are very reasonable compared to other hosts and I have never experienced any issues using there services. We have a couple of VPS’s through them in the UK and US, and never had any issues as there customer service is extremely organised.
Their global network is very wide, and they have many locations around the world which is handy for us and expanding.
