We have not used the Access Portal yet, but plan to do so in the future. So we have no experiences about it so far, but we expect this to be as smooth as the migration to the SSL VPN authentication via WatchGuard AuthPoint and the NextCloud authentication. However the aim here is to make access more secure. we do not expect any reduction the number of involved passwords...

In this time, it's very important to use a secure and complex password. Sometimes you need to change these passwords multiple times in a year. If these applications or websites aren't used often, then you can't remember the changed password. In this case it is very useful to have the password right on your desk. The app is helpful to access applications and sites without any password. You just need your smartphone. This is a big deal, but also a risk. If you lose or destroy your phone before transferring the tokens, you need to start registering from new.

For administrators that are concerned with resource security, but also need access to those resources remotely, this has been a great product. They can access the resources whenever and wherever, and know that only authorized users have this capability. Easy set-up, and minimal oversight needed to maintain the product. We are very satisfied.

The multiple layers of security ensure that the consumers looking for access are who they claim to be. Even if hackers steal one credential, they will be forced to verify identities in another manner. Implementing multi-factor authentication can be a key requirement when it comes to complying with certain industry regulations. In addition, you no longer have to create multiple complex passwords for different applications. Using a secondary authentication with SSO confirms the consumer identity and removes the risk of losing data due to password misplacement. This not only saves time but also enhances security.

It is great that WatchGuard AuthPoint provides SSO integration. Managing credentials for our users is ever growing with so many applications moving into this direction. I can't imagine any software in todays world at least being compliant and making SSO an option. Anything that we can do to simplify the user experience is great.

Our users really like this; we have started using it in many places because the implementation has gone really well. As well as roll it into more applications, users are actually asking us to add it to other systems because of the convenience and add security it gives.

With the combination of WatchGuard AuthPoint and secure SSO, we find that users are no longer required to key in passwords. We have set it up in a way whereby only the MFA is required which is ever-changing. Some users find it a hassle at the start, most users appreciate the need not to remember and reset passwords.
