Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Both are solid products. I liked the all-in-one package of the firewall. It allowed me to have everything in a simple license rather than having to add bits and pieces via updates or third-party applications. It provided me with a greater piece of mind to go with WatchGuard as they have a dedicated support team and are constantly evolving to provide better service to their customers.

It happens to need to interact with or manage other vendors' products when it's not possible to change immediately: WatchGuard systems are easier to configure and manage.

We used Sonicwall appliances for a number of years and, generally speaking, found them ok to work with except for in two areas. Sonicwall's seem to make even simple tasks complex to complete, creating opportunities for missed steps and headaches. We also found that the appliances themselves tended to fail more frequently; we've had only two Watchguard appliances fail before they were end-of-life (both were rapidly replaced under their warranty). While almost every Sonicwall appliance we deployed failed after 4 or 5 years.

WatchGuard Network Security is less commonly used than both FortiGates and PAs in my experience, however, they are a good solution for the SMB market where budget is the largest constraint. FortiGates have a better management experience. PAs are all around more advanced, but much more complex to configure. Each has its own place, and WatchGuard Network Security works well in the SMB space, while FortiGates and PAs are more enterprise-oriented.

Vs stormshield : easiest to install and logs are way better to read, easy to debug if the network have an issue / a bit cheaper

Simplicity to implement but more advanced features on monitor and logs management, could be find on other products. Good for small and medium business needs when there is not many administrators working at the same time. WG is good to implement other manufacturers' technology to their products. Nothing else comes at my mind

We have used WatchGuard for our firewall and network security for many years. We previously used DrayTek routers for our firewall but they cannot compare to what WatchGuard can offer. In terms of other technologies WatchGuard offers, we didn't really have these at all until we brought in WatchGuard.

WatchGuard was selected due to product familiarity; their free training courses mean we have all our technicians qualified in their use. Support has always been top-notch. And security is their focus; there's no trying to sell additional HW or add-ons. Although somewhat from experience, we find WG devices simpler and easier to configure with no jumping through hoops or multiple pages for basic configuration tasks, and when things aren't working, the comprehensive logging and reporting tools allow quick identification of the cause.

We appreciate the WatchGuard Network Security approach to multilevel security with a layered stack. We believe that using multiple vendors' products does not lock WatchGuard into a single mindset when providing security. Over the years WatchGuard has changed some of its constituent vendors to provide better protection at the time. WatchGuard supplies a full stack security offering that is speedy in operation at any pricepoint compared to its competitors.

WatchGuard delivers firewall management and built-in features far superior to many competitors, and all built-in features are effective, not just to make the product. Its web access control is superior to many products and works transparently, which facilitates management and deployment, without impacting users and without the need to install anything directly on workstations for this control.

Easier administration generates massive positive ROI vs competitors. Fundamental technologies are competitive, and strategic, they had an affordable MFA'd VPN solution (AuthPoint) out, before we / our customers were ready for it.

We use both Synology and Ubiquiti products and have noticed they offer firewall and security features. We have not considered using their services due to being satisfied with Watchguard. Also, Watchguard is solely based out of the USA. Which is nice. We very much like and heavily use Synology products, but they do "phone home" to Taiwan.

The User interface is much easy than my existing product and the migration time from the existing to the new WatchGuard was very simple and worry-free. After implementing the new watch Guard the performance is very impressive and evident. The log viewer is very transparent to monitor the completed internet network activity. The secure VPN configuration is very simple and robust this definitely shows the efficiency of the product.

The client-server management tool provides better efficiency on the daily tasks when having a lot of firewalls. The policy manager tool is very easy to use, making it easy the understand and change the actual policy rules The multi-wan feature is a more robust and flexible resource for managing two or more internet links.

Palo Alto sonciwall, fortinet, cisco. They offer better inclusive VPN clients and solutions and integration of MFA as the most BASIC security solution. Did I mention BASIC?

EDPR works perfectly with the Firewall to mitigate threats, however, the firewalls have detection and response built-in, which needs to be deployed in combination.
