there was a bug in an old OS version and support told us to do a simple update because the cause was known and would be fixed with a minor update.
There was no impact in the infrastructure but the support was available to monitor the upgrade togheter.

Critical issues are resolved in a timely fashion. For non critical issues, sometimes WatchGuard does consider items we think of as bugs as more of a feature request.

Over the years, I have reported a few bugs. They were all resolved, but if its important, you need to call them. Opening a web ticket can result in getting support staff far outside your time zone and playing pass the baton with different support staff

Yes we know constantly developing software always has bugs so we are always keen to report any quirks or bugs. Sometimes bugs can be very specific but if our experience and finding of an issue can lead to a long term fix for ourselves and others we like to make this known. We also suggest potential improvements for the software and some of which have made it to the end products.

I've been an extremely heavy user of WatchGuard products ever since 2007 consulting for 200+ networks. As such, yes I have found a lot of bugs over the years. WatchGuard has a good bug reporting system. They resolve the issue quickly if they are able to reproduce it. One of the reasons you should work with a highly qualified partner is because your partner will be able to use their connections to get issues dealt with even faster. There have been times that I found a bug and was able to email the engineer who manages that bit directly. The issue got fixed in less than 24 hours. That kind of response and collaboration only occurs through relationship.

Yes, on an earlier release we found some issues (years ago) and helped them narrow it down. They compensated us for our troubles by extending support and features for some time.
