What is WatchGuard Network Security?
The WatchGuard Firebox family of firewalls offers critical network security solutions for businesses of all types and sizes, including tabletop and 1U rack-mounted appliances to Cloud and virtual firewalls. Firebox appliances deliver critical security services from standard IPS, URL filtering, gateway AV, application control, and antispam, to advanced protections such as file sandboxing, and DNS filtering. High-performance deep packet inspection (DPI) means users can leverage these security services against attacks attempting to hide in encrypted channels like HTTPS. Additionally, every Firebox offers SD-WAN right out of the box for improved network resiliency and performance.

We are are a growing business that couldn't afford to buy all new Equipment as we grew at once. This was easy to intergrate with our Network, our server, and our Internet provider to use as a router as well. Since then we have with out technology, and this has helped with the easy intergration of the new servers, and new WAP deployment for the company.

We have used Watchguard since 2010 and we have replaced the firewalls twice with newer models and it is was just as quick as uploading the current configuration into the the new firewalls and there was no messing around with incompatible settings, which minimized our downtime.. It just worked, now we can take advantage of new features as they are released.

Previous knowledge and experience in working with Watchguard products is why we continue to use them. Their pricing has remained competitive as well - and their renewal process is very simplistic. Total downtime with a physical device replacement is 10 minutes max - so I don't have to spend a ton of time after-hours replacing this equipment when it's at the end of its life.

I think all of these aspects are important to an extent as this is why we like the product range. Some competitors may perhaps offer something particularly focussed in one area which excels but then the price may also be 3 times as much which prices out the sale for the target market.
Prior experience in the product is one of the most important as it ensures the quality of our setups within clients is excellent. We know we don't need to worry about the other aspects as these are already more than excelling.
