Well suited to all Small businesses through to Medium-sized Enterprises, and Education Facilities. For small businesses, it is a flexible unit, that includes all the tools needed in 1 hardware and subscription package. Through to larger organizations with a leading throughput when all security services are running. It is great if you have a need to connect to any business partner sites via customized VPN connections, its configuration flexibility allowing it to connect to any other brand of the corporate firewall. An example is where a client had a need to do security and web filtering for both securities and for the category of websites allowed, while also needing to connect to several different business services suppliers. We were able to easily set up 2 units in Hardware Failover VPN for remote users to connect from laptops and desktops including Windows and Mac operating systems Connect to a Cisco VPN, Amazon VPN, Juniper Firewall 10 Gb Interfaces MFA for Remote User VPN Access to Youtube Education channels while restricting Students and Teachers, and having [fewer] restrictions for Administrative Staff.

It's a great all-around firewall, works for SOHO and Enterprise scenarios. As the digital landscape grows more complex due to more devices, users, and applications crossing through the network perimeters especially due to the growing volume of IoT and end-user devices and less overall centralized control from IT and security teams, companies are becoming much more vulnerable to cyberattacks, WatchGuard is your solution.

The Watchguard network security firewall is really a good product for what it does, keeping your network safe and allowing only specific traffic that you designate thru. So they have different models of firewalls some for the small business and others for more of a corporate environment. The firewall is well suited in both environments as well as those in between. Just make sure the get the right one for the size of your network and the number of end-users. I would not get an M4600 for a small remote location as that would be entirely overkilling, but instead may be a T40. Just have to gauge it correctly.

WatchGuard's Network Security suite really is a must for any organization big or small. The features are pretty easy to configure and allow for the admin to scale it to the needs of the organization. I really can't think of a scenario where having a solid network security solution would be considered less appropriate.

Nowadays, it has become a need for any organisation to protect its networks from internal and external attacks. WatchGuard Network Security does this particularly well, and its easiness of management is superior to any of its competitors.

WatchGuard [Network Security] is well suited for the small and medium-sized business market. The devices are reasonably priced and provide many features of more expensive devices. They are easy to set up right out of the box. They give small and medium-sized businesses the protection they require to protect against outside attacks.

WatchGuard security is sizable from a simple home network to an international corporation. I have one at my house. There are different model sizes that can fit any scenario. Many features come with the devices and there are extra features that you can purchase if needed. They have support and documentation for those who are not familiar with the devices. If you are small or have a small budget, the ability to use one WatchGuard device in place of many other security devices is cost-saving, and they work well. If you sign up, they give free monthly webinars on different features and have Q&A's at the end of each session. WatchGuard has protected my environment, and my users, and kept me hack-free for years.

Our network is distributed across different geographical locations and the firewall to firewall VPN services works very well (the problems mentioned earlier are with the client to firewall VPN connectivity). Internal segmentation, segmentation, and failover features also work very well. We typically deploy a bastion firewall and connect internal firewalls to protect more sensitive network segments.

In situations where advance firewall features are needed, fireboxes are a great fit. When needed having the ability for tech support as well next door replacement greatly helps reduce down times. I feel on some devices such as access points a yearly subscription for security updates is overkill. Also having the ability for Fireboxes with built in wireless to be able mesh with external access points.

Before starting in this role, the company was using Cisco Meraki which was very unreliable when it came to site-to-site VPNs, getting them connected (especially to AWS) proved very troublesome and lacking features. When asked for an opinion on a replacement, I recommended WatchGuard for the ease of use for BoVPN and the VPN keep-alive compatibility, since then WatchGuard has become the new standard for our Clients and it works great.

Great for Botnet Detection and Intrusion Prevention Able to see high-level detail of data coming in and out of the network We don't use their VPN due to some licensing costs involvement so I think that's an area where they can do better. The logs are easy to understand and read too.

Watchguard security is suited well in all-size environments which is what makes it a very useful product range for an MSP. It provides the same levels of protection for a small client with say 5 staff as one with 500. Some vendors price features whereas WatchGuard price spec of the unit to suit smaller or larger implementations. It is less suited to multitenant usage or usage where a reboot isn't easy to schedule, as firmware upgrades cannot be done without reboots, however, this is a rare scenario as usually in this setup an HA pair would be implemented.

I think that WatchGuard's Security products fits well on SMB organizations, with reduced investments and those who also requires simple management and a wide features covering. When positioning it to companies who intend to acquire an "enterprise security" brand, We usually face problems to move ahead with customers.

The branch office VPN tunnels are really good. They are compatible with any other brand. In my case, we connect to other companies that provide financial services to our company and the VPN tunnel works great. The navigation policies are very accurate when I configure them to filter correct access to all my end users. The internet speed access seems to not be affected which is really good because it makes users navigate really well without any problem.

Anywhere an organization needs the internet, you need [WatchGuard] Network Security. If you are still on pen and paper, and your employees aren't connected to anything outside your front door, then you won't need [WatchGuard] Network Security. Since the vast majority of businesses have an internet [connection], you'll be wanting [WatchGuard Network Security] unless you like being hacked, scammed, phished, spammed, and ransomed. If I could afford one, I'd buy a [WatchGuard Network Security] system for travel. I'm contemplating one for my home.

WatchGuard is well suited in all vertical markets for protecting businesses - with our range of customers we primarily use it to protect customer's networks using WatchGuard firewalls with easy monthly payments using the MSSP program, this suits all types and sizes of businesses as the payments and low and easy to manage. Most of our customers are more than okay with costs of Access Points when it comes time to replace old devices however this is where WatchGuard could do slightly better as the large upfront costs of the Access points is enough to scare some smaller customers, in these scenarios other Access Points may be better suited to save that smaller customers budget. This is why I believe adding APs into WGs MSSP offering would be very beneficial.

WatchGuard firewall appliances are robust and reliable, have a lower price compared to the big players in the market and are great purchase alternatives. Fits all sizes of business scenarios, from small to large. URL Filter, vpn, Malware Protection and App Control licenses are sold on a contract of at least 1 year to 5 years, and must be renewed to continue to use the smart and advanced protection features. I recommend hiring WatchGuard support to have firmware updates and hardware warranty for the appliances.
