Also a great tool for customer interaction.

The ease of inviting non-organization participants are a huge bonus.

In my role, we use Webex App as the daily driver in terms of collaboration. From Instant Messaging, Video Calling, and Group Collaboration, it has been our go-to and primary tool. All of our teammates and members of our organization are one click away in case help is needed, or of course just a random greeting!
  • We can easily use the intuitive app as it has good design
  • Hassel free video calls with Cisco Collaboration (and 3rd party) endpoints
  • Meeting organization is a breeze
  • Mobile version could be better
  • Personal Insights could be changed to be be more enticing to use
In today's collaboration market, having a single tool that covers most (if not all) needs is a must. Webex App is really efficient and fulfills our day-to-day needs, be it from simple instant messaging to grander meetings with a lot more participants (with video, too!).

It may be less appropriate for companies with an already established unified communications platform, as it may be redundant (despite offering more services compared to some). Having two soft clients can easily deteriorate the end-user experience.
Whenever we have issues with WebEx Meetings, mostly with large-scale meetings, we have always been able to pinpoint the cause of the issues (if any) whenever we make cases. One downside is during any issue, you would have to be aware and have important details of the meeting and the issue (including time stamps) on hand, as if not, the investigation would be delayed and/or not completed properly.
It allows us to fully collaborate with colleagues even if we are remote (home-based or traveling to another office). It made it possible for us to continue our day-to-day operations and by extension, support the business of our customers during the pandemic. Having innate integration with our existing collaboration endpoints also is a huge plus since we have a lot of them in multiple offices.

Webex is our main comminications tool on our company, we use it as the main source of communication in and out of our organisation, the ease to use and its adaptability make our job easier to manage and deliver, it's a powerful tool and its potential it seem greater.
  • IM, quick, easy and fast.
  • Spaces, aka community or IM groups. Just wonderful.
  • Implementation and quick to use from first deploy.
  • Updates.
  • managing the media shared
  • scalability.
The best performance is IM and all around it, spaces, file sharing, conversation history, all this features it seems were well prepare and thought.

The worse, updates, it should be better organized or scheduled.
Because it is webex. no more to say!

We use the entire Webex Suite, messaging, integrated UCM calling, and Meetings. Webex helps us to keep in quick and constant contact amongst our teams and is a great tool for managing various project communications. Having a single, unified application for communications and one that integrates with our video conferencing presence is generally a productivity enhancer.
  • Messaging Interface is intuitive an clean.
  • Calendar integration.
  • Webex Meeting scheduling and joining.
  • The search functionality needs more utility. I would like to search space by date, for instance. Search does not do well after having to do a database reset.
  • Pinning messages could be "bold" and allow multiple pinned messages with expiration dates.
  • More user control of space grouping and hierarchy.
With Microsoft fully embedded in most customer environments, this is getting to be harder.
As a highly experienced user, Tier 1 support is lacking. I'd like the option to be fast-tracked through tier one when appropriate.
I've addressed this in other questions.

I use Webex every day for contacting colleagues and customers. I find it makes life so easy for phone calls, IM, calendar reminders and I dont need to use any other communications apps. Meetings I host are easy to manage, send invites and navigate during the meeting such as muting all, sharing screens, allowing control to other users, I never thought it could be so easy to do these things so quickly and all in one place.
  • hosting meetings
  • making phone calls
  • screen sharing
  • allowing remote control of screen
  • i cant get rid of banner when screen sharing
  • i cant find how to compact my chat windows
  • remove the "seen by" icons at the bottom of group chats and add an expandable option at the side
always suited to chats and meetings held between colleagues and customers.
cant think of any situation it would be less appropriate than other communication apps.
never contacted support
it is very user friendly and makes all communications so easy and simple.

Webex App is being used to do the online training for our customers and all remote work tasks are conducted by using the Webex App.
  • Easy to install.
  • Easy to create a new account and there are free and payed offers.
  • Webex App is for PC and Smartphone.
  • The WebEx App consumes very small bandwidth even when your Internet connection is not very high speed.
  • Video call can be improved by adding a call button near people's names.
I strongly recommend the WebEx App for online training, Teams meetings, or just a personal use to communicate with friends.
When I contact the Support Team they react quickly.

We use it between our company and all our customers on Webex using spaces and calling and sharing and chatting, escalating to meetings, and so forth.
  • Spaces for projects.
  • Calling to meetings.
  • Adding video to meetings.
  • Content sharing.
  • Integration with ms teams or mtr devices.
  • Better integration of video device with teams.
  • Emoji's display for teams meetings.
Just a full suite to collaborate with everyone everywhere with the one button to push and mtr integrations and calendar integration between o365 and control hub, scheduling meetings from Outlook or a mobile phone are so much easier, and joining meetings while traveling Webex seems to use much less data than other vendors for Webex meetings.
The way the app has been developed and grown over the past two years is amazing and makes collaboration and projects so much easier.
It is the full house for me, love it.

WebEx is a must have! It's an essential all-in-one communication tool which allows me to easily manage my day. It allows me to get in touch with individuals and teams very easily. I know when my meetings are and I can join meetings from any device. I would recommend anyone to use WebEx for a few days and see how much it improves their work life!

Being a LAN Technician, I am constantly out of my seat and on the go. I can use the app on my laptops and smart phone interchangeably and seamlessly. I can still communicate with my collaborations very easily. As mentioned before, this is an all-in-one communication tool and work would be extremely difficult without it.

To collaborate on projects and quick chats in our department. I do wish more of our company would adopt it as I believe it is a great tool for collaboration between people and to stop the back-and-forth emails that get lost, and some people don't know how to use reply-all when they need to, and the discussion chain gets lost in email. This keeps everything for that project in one spot and the ability to start a quick meeting and/or whiteboard is awesome! We recently moved from Jabber over to Webex and similarity between Jabber and Webex is becoming more and more with every update. There are still quite a few features missing in Webex that we had in Jabber that we do miss.
  • Being able to have it on all of my devices.
  • The ability to answer from any device and have the whole conversation there.
  • It is free for basic use so anyone can join in the conversation.
  • The TAC Connect BOTS is awesome! Any BOT on there is cool.
  • Every update they keep surprising me!
  • After moving over to Webex from Jabber, lacking features that were very useful in Jabber
  • Not everyone using it!
  • Trying to get our users to use it to its full potential!
  • The ability to hide the add/left bot comments on a moderated space.
  • Still a lot of features from Jabber are missing including Alert when available
Being able to send out a quick message to our department about something instead of it getting lost in email. The ability to see all the files in one place instead of scrolling back through. Also, using it with my family is nice too as they use the free version, so I can still talk to them even when I am out of town. Being able to pop it open on my mobile phone is essential! Having the conversation right there or being able to have a video call with someone back at the office while remote is key!
I can open a ticket with TAC just for Webex right from the main support ticket page. Then I know I get to the right person for that product. I also have some of the engineers on Webex "in Webex" that I can bounce issues and questions off of. When I have an issue it's like they go into collaboration mode to help me get it resolved. The TAC BOT will help you along the way when you open your ticket.
The usability of Cisco Webex is overall a 10! I find it very easy to use and I keep mine open every day, all day! I use it when I go out of town to stay in touch with family, colleagues and all the spaces I am a part of.

The Webex App is used in our organization for internal company-wide meetings. Our C-Suite Executives usually utilize it for quarterly meetings with the entire staff. Occasionally, we utilize Webex App for internal project meetings.
  • Digital communication between users is top-notch and effortless. Never an issue with video lag.
  • No dropped calls. I never have to worry if communication will drop due to a user or network server error.
  • Strong brand name. I hear Webex, and as someone that has utilized Webex since college, I can trust it as an application to utilize for web-based meetings.
  • UI/UX Design. Like other great products from the 2000s, product design with the mind of making user access easier within each update is lagging behind. I've seen this before as a usual issue with other well-trusted brand names in other areas of tech. When comparing UX/UI design to competitors like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and even Skype, the UX/UI design isn't as naturally intuitive.
  • Important UX functions in today's internet, such as sharing sound and sharing videos, aren't easily accessible. Although in the 90s and 2000s, a few clicks to get to the functionality you need was fine, competitors have jumped past this and provided no more than 1 step for their users to get to the desired function. For example, sharing sound with a video is not intuitive or easy enough to find for a casual user not familiar with Webex App.
  • I noticed for some users, after sharing videos or presentations, the sound would cut off completely after sharing. Audience members or other conference members could not hear the rest of the Webex meetings, and we resorted to calling the toll-free number to finish the call. This was a reoccurring issue from 2019-2021. I'm not sure if this has been resolved, but it was noticeable for one vendor that utilized Webex App.
Webex App is best suited for virtual conference meetings where a panel or select group of folks are speaking to a virtual audience.
Overall, Webex App continues to be a solid and reliable product. Webex App needs to improve UX/UI functions to maintain competitiveness, but other than that, there are no other complaints from me as a current user.

We all use the app. Some of us use the integration with Teams. I personally have found the app fantastic and productive. It provides fantastic secure commutation with the ability to convey messages quickly and easily. Sharing of information can mean the difference between a successful business and be out of business. Webex App can make that difference.
  • Collabation
  • Integration
  • Application
  • The recording feature
Webex app is well suited for remote working.
Every day the app is improved to include APIs which can be customised.
It's a very good product. However, not used as widely as it should be.

Webex App is being used as a medium for IM, presence, and calling pan Cisco. It has been very effective in keeping up with the collaboration within and across teams since the work moved over to hybrid and as the world moves over to the hybrid model of working. The Webex bots have been very interesting in automating some of the workflows which were being done manually in the teams, like reminders, surveys, etc.
  • Instant Messaging with reply and quote features.
  • Calling.
  • Automation with bots.
  • Presence - very difficult to become active at times especially from Mobile app.
  • Message editing - feature to show edits made (or) notification when a message is edited.
  • Predictive text replies to messages.
Well suited for:
  1. Instant collaboration.
  2. Group messaging and meet.
Not so well suited:
  1. When needing focused work (DND is an option but not very good), especially in meetings.
Easy and fast resolution to cases.
Great product with some scope for improvement.

It is good for people who spend time on the field, meeting clients physically as well as virtually. A good tool to manage the sales team. WebEx is probably focusing more on that. As a consultant, I have to manage clients in multiple cities and hence, need to have a good tool to catch up with them on their progress and update them regarding tasks. Webex comes in handy here!
  • Remote Client Calls
  • Daily Huddles with Team
  • Sales Strategy Management and Monitoring
  • Quality of video can be better
  • Recording Feature
  • In-app chatbox can be better
Well suited for internal usage. Not good for B2B interactions as they may have their own preferred application. I have often encountered that the client prefers a different application for Video Conferencing/Meeting and we have to switch to that. When the calls are within the organization, this issue is not faced.
Had issues with audio. Got it resolved after multiple follow-ups.
Multiple tools available in the market. Webex has good UI and responds quickly. Other applications lag a bit. I have used G Meet and MS Teams in an organizational set-up and I found webex to be faster and more responsive. The only downside is inability to integrate smoothly with all other mailing systems and calendars. It has to be made automatic. I have to add meetings manually all the times.

Webex App is used as the SPOG of my collab applications, gathering all I need as simple as the click of the mouse. It helps to keep my productivity while I keep in touch with my team. Important points considered to choose Webex App in the company, first the quality of voice and video, second the easiest way to put everybody in a virtual room and work together, and last but not least, security in every aspects when collaborating with others.
  • The simplicity to join a meeting, put everybody in the room and to working together.
  • Documents shared are persistent, so if a new colleague starts in the group, all previous docs are available to access.
  • High quality video and voice during meetings and calls.
  • Limited use of emojis, that is bad when working with millennials.
  • Search engine can the improved. The results are not showed in a simple way.
Team collaboration, easy to use and high quality audio and video to your meetings. Webex App is much better when compared to other collab apps due to robust voice and video call controls. The interface is really well looked and has great skins options. There is one particularly aspect is that good, the way the app separates people, groups and messages. It is a little bit confusing, especially if you are a MS Teams user.
Easy to use, intuitive interface and almost free of bugs. Periodically the app asks to update the version to keep things running smooth and safe.
The interface is really intuite and easy to use.

Webex App - Review

Used for day to day end user collaboration and meetings. After going remote working due to covid we have leveraged Cisco Webex to fill in all the cracks for work from home communication. We rely on Webex every day and it is our main stay platform for video and call conferencing as well as chat and file sharing.
  • End to end encryption.
  • Chat.
  • Video conferencing.
  • Integration with calling.
  • Seamless video sharing.
  • Updates sometimes provide errors to the platform.
  • Downtime or service interruptions make things hard.
  • More integrations with other apps.
Webex works really well in a use case scenario for Video and Call conferencing. This has been Webex's main focus since the beginning. However, because of the longevity of them being in the game I wish to see more innovation and original ideas instead of just "keeping" up with other platforms.
Cisco TAC is known for fixing and diagnosing issues quickly and efficiently. Always willing to see the issue till the end.
Since using the platform for the last 5 years many changes have been made in the front end and backend of the Webex app.
One of the things we all notice is that the platform has become much more stable and rarely crashes. We went from knowing Cisco support on a first name basis to rarely having to engage them anymore.
Overall Webex is a very powerful tool with lots and lots of possibilities and use cases. In house we find it almost has too much and sometimes the users are overwhelmed with how it works. I feel that our end users could benefit from taking a short how to video on the platform. With all the changes constantly happening to it, I feel some people dont realize the potential outside of just using it for the odd call and chat function. Overall the product is designed and backed very well.

We love using this tool, it is very stable, we use it to communicate with colleagues. We do work groups for specific topics and we minimize emails and this makes communication more fluid in the team. Now with remote work or when we go on a trip we can communicate with the team very easily.
  • Conference calls.
  • Work groups.
  • Video calls.
  • When someone does not answer a conference call, they should add an option to remove people from the room.
[For] video calls if you do not have a good connection or a decent PC can be affected, I recommend reviewing the minimum requirements to implement. For the other functions of chats, calls, conferences it works very well the sound is good. The automatic status change function is very good if a Webex session is started or calls change the icon on the user to notify other users.
The support is very good and the tool is regularly updated, improving its functions.
For its easy use, quick implementation, and the value it adds to the business. It has increased the productivity of the employees since it avoids unnecessary meetings or that it takes more than the account and improves the internal communication with a simple message we can do paperwork in human resources, inform our bosses, or greet a colleague.

At FilmCounter, we replaced using Google Meet with Cisco Webex App because the latter proved to be far more secure and allowed functionalities like unlimited recording, monitoring concentration of team members (whether they were switching screens) and restricting vandalising of meetings by external uninvited users. Since we are an early stage startup with a lot of established competitors in a nearly similar market-space, we need high level of confidentiality of our meetings. Webex has been most helpful for us in this respect. The app also allows to directly play videos with audios within the app.
  • Allows annotation on presenter's screen on granting permission
  • Recording meetings completely
  • Playing audio and video files and sharing presentations within the app (rather than having to share screen)
  • Monitoring attentiveness of participants
  • The UI could have been more interactive and smart
  • The loading time of the app when opening first time or after an update is very long, this should be fixed
  • In case of network failure, the app does not show whether it is still connected or not, a random stopping of the audio and video cannot be an indication of which side the network failure has been on
In case of meetings with external vendors, we can restrict permissions to external participants. This is a radical and very useful feature that helps us manage our company privacy better.
When organising training programmes for our interns, we download the attentiveness data from Webex at the end of the session, which helps us monitor the level of seriousness and meticulousness of our interns.
Once, our recordings were not getting synced in the Cloud properly and quite a few previous videos appeared to be missing. We suspected a data breach and immediately emailed to Cisco Support. Their engineers took almost 2 days to resolve the issue but they were always available for help and follow-ups
In terms of overall usability, Webex is a bit tough to adapt to for non tech-savvy employees and they need a lot of training to get acquainted with the outdated-looking UI. But for tech-savvy people, it is comfortable and also advantageous to directly create embeddings and plugins from Webex to other third-party platforms.

Webex Teams is being used and evaluated as a persistent chat solution for our organization, in conjunction with Microsoft Teams and Mattermost. It is mainly being used by the IT department to evaluate and see if it can be a standard in our organization moving forward. The benefit it has is that people can ask quick questions and get answers almost immediately, as opposed to waiting for an email response or calling the help desk.
  • Intuitive design, easy to use.
  • Very clean interface, every button and section has a purpose.
  • Easy to create spaces for your team to collaborate.
  • Calling function is not fleshed out, harder to use than competitors.
  • Notification window is too small to read, and should stay up longer than it does.
  • Integration with 3rd-party apps is not the greatest.
Webex Teams is a good solution for persistent chat and team collaboration. However, its competitors bring more to the table and are more fleshed out in terms of capabilities and features. Microsoft Teams, Mattermost, and Slack all do things much better than Webex Teams, which makes it a hard sell to stakeholders if you are thinking about implementation.
Cisco provides great customer support for all of its products, and Webex Teams is no exception. They helped us with deployment and with any issues we are having with the product. It does take them some time to get back to us due to the volume of requests they receive but overall we are happy with their support.
Webex Teams' usability is pretty good. It has a nice and clean interface and end-users can adapt to using it pretty quickly. The view of People and Spaces chats makes it easy to separate your conversations. Most in our organization have had a positive experience dealing with Webex Teams.

Webex allows me to communicate with my clients and colleagues through its platform effectively. I can schedule meetings, share my work through screen sharing, and deliver a presentation in the meeting. It also allows file sharing through cloud which makes it easier to transfer data. The meetings can be recorded securely for future reference.
  • It allows multiple screens sharing sessions with a side-by-side view, where you can see everyone's screen. This feature is excellent for monitoring purpose.
  • You can run meetings up to 24 hours in time. this makes it easier to conduct training sessions for team members.
  • The user interface can be improved as it is outdated. The intuitiveness of the app also has room for improvement.
Webex has an AI to provide transcriptions of the audio spoken during meeting. This feature is useful for dealing with client of different language. Even if the client has heavy accent, you can understand their message through transcriptions provided by Webex app.
The service team responds quickly to your concerns.
I have regular meetings with Webex app, which has made life easier because it is a solution for conferences, giving presentations. Its relatively easy to connect with colleagues.

Cuts down on emails and enables quick easy colaboration. Easy to search through contacts, conversations and find content previously shared. Great plugins and bots to integrate other software and make work life easier. Great features for all users with emojis, gifs, ability to flag messages to create action items.
  • Messaging
  • Meetings
  • Collaborations
  • Softphone
  • Collapsible groups within messaging
  • Searching keywords in all conversations at once
Great for enabling employees to communicate quickly back and forth with messaging or create quick ad-hoc meetings when messaging just won't do. Super simple to set up and join meetings and share a screen. Also works great as a softphone or when connected to a physical phone and making calls. Calendar option to show you daily meetings makes it simple to see whats on the agenda for today
Support is quick to respond and love that you can opt to have them communicate with you in a webex space if your not able to take a call. Support has often had our issues or questions taken care of same day or is able to escalate and get us in touch with the appropriate tech quickly.
Very user friendly and have had very few complaints from employees about using it or having trouble figuring it out. It seems to be very intuitive and users can find what they need easily.

I use this to communicate and collaborate with my team members. It helped me to increase my efficiency and productivity. It helped me to manage my work remotely. It also helped me manage my international clients more effectively. Features like screen sharing, recording, customization of layouts, etc are fantastic. We can also access the required third-party apps like Google Calendar, outlook, office 365, etc inside the app.
  • It's media quality is very good.
  • It is very easy and faster to connect with anyone using the Webex app. It works on also average internet connectivity.
  • Anyone can connect using any device. It doesn't have a device barrier.
  • Engagement tools are very effective and makes meeting more engaging.
  • It's user dashboard navigation is not so helpful. It should have more options.
  • It's UI should be more engaging.
  • There should be more personalization options in the setting.
The best thing about it that I like the most is, It allows me to do calling with my team without the barrier of device and location. Along with this, it is also affordable.
Webex has a helpful knowledge base and every piece of information has been categorized so anyone can find a piece of information very quickly. Along with this, it also has various mediums like chat, opening a support ticket, asking the community, etc available to contact for support. And, the best part is that support is available at all times.
Overall, Webex is the most reliable and easy-to-use software I've come across. It supports a wide range of devices, including laptops, mobile phones, and tablets. The interface is user-friendly and it's easy to set up and manage. The calls are high quality and the sound is clear. I've used Webex to make conference calls with up to 100 people and have never experienced any issues or dropped calls. I've used the screen share feature as well and it's very easy to use and it works great.

We use Webex daily for internal company meetings. The use of Webex has increased dramatically since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, as our work model has become almost 100% working from home. In addition, all business travel for internal meetings was strongly discouraged, so Webex became the default way to hold large workshops and cross-functional meetings
  • Allows for small or large meetings
  • Provides easy telephone access (if an internet connection is not optimal)
  • Integrates with Outlook's calendar well
  • Video conferencing
  • Integration of chat with video
  • Mobile app not as good as PC app
Webex is reliable for internal company meetings, both large and small. But its interface and functionality are not as good as other video-capable meeting software. Both Zoom and Microsoft Teams are more intuitive and easier to use, especially for any features beyond audio conferencing like white boardings, breakout rooms, etc.
The support is good, and I have always received the help I needed in a timely manner.
Webex is reliable and the basic features are good. But when I want to hold workshop breakout sessions and whiteboarding discussions, I feel Microsoft Teams and Zoom have a better user interface and are more intuitive.
