We use Cisco Webex to hold and attend online meetings, collaborate on team projects, and share documents. In addition, it is very useful as it allows us to record/capture meetings held and facilitate business discussions for distance/remote meetings saving time and travel costs. Since many of the company employees are working remotely during these times, Webex provides us with the required platform to host meetings easily since this is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution delivered through the Cisco Webex Cloud.
  • Collaborate on team projects.
  • Share documents.
  • Hold and attend online meetings.
  • Software as a Service solution
  • On-demand webinars.
  • Smart forms and enrichment.
I think Cisco Webex Meetings is well suited for personal and business collaboration. It’s an excellent tool that allows us to communicate with audio, video, text chat, file sharing, whiteboard etc. However, I don't think there are any negatives to report as this software has managed to meet all our business expectations and provided us with a good overall experience. Since this is a software as a service solution, it can be easily provisioned to end-users.

One of the main organizational challenges we encountered during the planning and implementation of hybrid work was ensuring seamless integration and collaboration across remote and in-office teams.
Cisco's hybrid work solutions have significantly alleviated our organizational challenges by enhancing communication and collaboration.
The hybrid work model has brought increased flexibility and improved work-life balance for our team.
Webex Meetings integrates with a wide portfolio of devices. It can integrate with a large number of devices including IP phones, headsets, and many more endpoints. These devices are designed to work seamlessly with Webex Meetings and the advantage is that this type of integration provides ease of deployment and management at a large scale.
  • Working from anywhere (e.g., coffee shop, airport)
  • Working from an office or other company space
  • Working from home
Our implementation plan for the hybrid work solution is well underway, with several key milestones achieved. The process has involved a thorough assessment of our infrastructure, integration of collaborative tools like Cisco's solutions, and comprehensive training for employees.
We chose Cisco for our hybrid work environment due to their proven track record, comprehensive suite of tools, and a commitment to security and innovation. The seamless integration of Cisco products with our existing infrastructure played a crucial role in the decision-making process.

We haven't use much of the AI capabilities but it seems very good in order to capture the details of meetings.
We generally use Microsoft Outlook to schedule our meetings and the then use webex for hosting our meetings online.
It integrates very nicely with our email system and it also has many different ways of accessing the meetings that has been scheduled for example you could use the webex link, or meeting URL and it also provides you with a dial-in number based on the country that you are located which is quite cost-effective as you are incurring minimum costs since you dialling a local number. This feature is very useful for those users who do not have internet access but need to be part of the meeting and is then able to dial in.

I would research more into what is currently available in the market and using research sites such as TrustRadius to become more informed on what's out there and how they can meet our business objectives.
  • Implemented in-house
Yes
The phases consisted of the Planning and Discovery phase, the Build and Deployment phase, Migration and Realisation phase and the Support phase.
Change management was a major issue with the implementation
Having the correct people is key to a very successful implementation.
  • User training is key
  • Understanding the product features is also key.
Plan the project carefully and mobilize the correct people after doing proper research into what features and functionalities are required from the system.
  • Online training
  • in-person training
  • no training
It is very good to have an in-person training at times as well as they can show you in in person how to configure an operating system.
We mostly use training from Cisco's online training programs which is very informative and can be easily incorporated into our daily schedules without disrupting our normal working activities. There are many online training materials are available on cisco's website as well as other third-party training companies may also provide additional training.
Yes the product is simple enough to use. The gui interface is also easy to navigate.
I think it is just right for this product.
Refer to to Cisco's webex best practice design documents and you can also refer to Cisco webex forums to understand other user experiences and problems which have occurred and how they manage to resolve it.
No - we have not done any customization to the interface
Nothing else.
Support has been good so far.
Not Sure
We normally use the Cisco forums as they are quite valuable since there are many users who share similar problems and ther experiences in resolving issues. Many times these are sufficient to guide us in the in the right direction.
Cisco webex met all our business requirements and there wasn't much extra features we needed apart from what they provided as standard.
  • Voice and video clarity
  • Elegant look and feel
  • Ease of use
  • Nothing
I can't recall having any issues around availability. Cisco webex was always available when we needed to do a conference and is a very reliable and performing product with good clarity and excellent options to collaborate. Setup was easy and since the solution is hosted in the cloud, there was no requirement to provision any on-premise infrastructure saving valuable time and costs to get users connected.
Cisco Webex performs very well and we haven't had any issues regarding performance. Since the product is hosted in the Cloud, you need to make sure that you have a very reliable and fast internet connection with minimum latency to enjoy the best collaboration experience. Also, ensure that the end-user device meets the recommended hardware requirements in order to ensure that they have the best user experience when using the product.
Cisco webex has quite a large participant limit limitation in meetings which is in the range of 1000 participants in a meeting which I think is overly sufficient for many organisations. The product is very reliable with good call and video quality. Also it is very responsive with a simplified user interface and can be used by even the novice user.

First of all, it is giving us a platform to collaborate with the people that is up almost every time when I need it. We have been using the platform for many years for the entire organization. We love it over any other platform. Quick meetings, training, and remote support from any device at any time.
  • Keep adding the new collaboration tools, i.e virtual background, music mode, and live streaming.
  • Very efficient, quick and always uptime.
  • HD quality audio and video at low bandwidth.
  • Prices are not competitive when considering the competitors.
  • Separate software for events, training and support.
  • WebEx productivity tool is mandatory if you need the integration with Office.
Specially in Enterprise customers, this is an excellent product.

Communication: Ensuring effective communication in a hybrid model can be challenging as employees work from different locations and possibly different time zones. Technology and Infrastructure: Implementing the right technology and infrastructure to support remote work is crucial. This might include VPN access, video conferencing tools like Webex, project management software, and more. Management and Supervision: Managing and supervising remote employees can be a challenge, requiring new skills and approaches from managers. Security: Securing company data when employees are working remotely can be a challenge, as home networks may not be as secure as office networks.
Features such as video meetings and team collaboration tools can help maintain a sense of community and connection among team members, which can support a positive company culture. By providing high-quality, user-friendly tools that can be used anywhere, Cisco's solutions can help ensure that all employees have the tools they need to succeed, whether they're working remotely or in the office.
Hybrid work models can offer greater flexibility, allowing employees to balance their work and personal life more effectively. This can lead to increased employee satisfaction and potentially better productivity. While tools like Cisco Webex can help facilitate communication, working in a hybrid model can sometimes lead to communication gaps. Employees working remotely might miss out on impromptu conversations and brainstorming sessions that can happen in the office.
This platform is often compared to Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet. It stands out due to Cisco's longstanding reputation in the realm of networking and security, advanced features like background noise removal, and AI-powered meeting transcription.
  • Webex
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Google Meet
  • GoTo
Microsoft Teams, which we are using for our customers who are on the same platform.
1-2 of the customers always insisting us to join the meeting on Google Meet.
GoTo meetings are still favorable for a few of our OEMs and they keep webinars on the GoTo platform only.
Automatic noise suppression can help attendees focus on the meeting without being distracted by background noise. Real-time transcription can aid in understanding and following the conversation, especially for non-native speakers or individuals with hearing impairments. The automatic note-taking feature can save time and ensure that key points are not missed. If Webex Meetings is integrated with other tools that a company uses (like calendar apps or project management tools), this can streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
Cisco Webex Room Series: The Room Series video conferencing devices, including the Room Kit, Room Kit Plus, and Room Kit Pro, are designed to integrate with Webex Meetings. This integration allows for a more immersive meeting experience with high-quality video and audio.

Cisco Webex Board: The Webex Board is a digital whiteboard, presentation screen, and video conferencing device all in one. Combined with Webex Meetings, it can enrich meeting experiences, especially for remote participants.

Cisco Jabber: Though some of its features overlap with Webex Teams, Jabber is another UC tool from Cisco that provides instant messaging, voice and video calls, voicemail, and conferencing. Some organizations may use it in tandem with Webex Meetings, especially if they have already invested in Jabber.
Interoperability: Webex Meetings allows users to join meetings from any device, including desktops, laptops, smartphones, and tablets. It also integrates well with a wide range of other tools, such as productivity and project management apps, which can help streamline workflows.

Security: Cisco is known for its focus on security. Webex Meetings is designed with end-to-end encryption, and administrators have the ability to enable various security settings. Furthermore, meeting data in transit and at rest is encrypted.

Participant Management: Webex Meetings provides hosts with various participant management tools. Hosts can mute participants, turn off their video, admit participants from a waiting room, and more.

Host Settings: Hosts have a great deal of control over meetings in Webex. They can control whether participants can join before the host, record the meeting, share their screen, and more. Hosts can also save their settings for future meetings.

businesses and individuals find value in Webex Meetings for their collaborative needs, given its robust features such as high-quality video conferencing, screen sharing, recording options, and integration with other software. • Online Training
  • In-Person Training
It was straight to the point and very informative. effective training often includes clear explanations, hands-on practice opportunities, time for questions and answers, real-world examples, and follow-up support. If you're trying to assess the quality of a specific training session, you might consider these factors. For organizations looking to assess the quality of their in-person training, it's best to solicit feedback directly from the participants. This can be done through anonymous surveys or feedback sessions, enabling the organization to gather firsthand information and improve future training sessions accordingly.
The content was well prepared and as per the agenda. Online training has the advantage of being flexible and accessible, but it can also present challenges in terms of maintaining engagement, facilitating hands-on practice, and providing real-time help or feedback. Online training seems to be ok for regular updates about the product. I f someone is learning from scratch, online training won't help.
That said, while some users appreciate the extensive configuration options because they provide greater control over the meetings, others might find them overwhelming or complex. The perception of whether the configurability is too limited, too extensive, or just right would depend on the specific needs, technical expertise, and personal preferences of the user or organization.
Personalize your settings: Spend some time in the settings area to understand what can be customized. This can include video preferences, audio inputs and outputs, and scheduling options. Make sure these are set to match your specific needs.

Prepare for security: Enable the Waiting Room feature to control who joins the meeting. Use the password feature to add an extra layer of security. Understand how to lock a meeting once all participants have arrived to prevent unauthorized access.

Manage Participants Effectively: Familiarize yourself with the controls for muting and unmuting participants, turning off videos, and allowing or disallowing participants to share their screens. This can prevent disruptions during the meeting.

Leverage Recording Features: If it's important to refer back to the meeting, remember to hit record. Understand where recordings are stored and how to access them later.

Understand Screen Sharing: Know how to share your entire screen versus a specific application or browser tab. Remember to close any unnecessary or private tabs or applications before sharing your screen.

Use Breakout Rooms: If you hold larger meetings or training sessions, learn how to create breakout rooms for smaller group discussions.

Test your Setup: Before starting or joining a meeting, use the "Test speaker and microphone" feature to ensure your audio is working correctly.

Utilize the Webex Help Center: Cisco has extensive online resources to help you understand all the features and settings of Webex Meetings.

Hi, Webex Meetings is the ground-breaker as far as I am concerned. I've been using them to coordinate work as a consultant and programmer for over 2 years. I've found their product stable and viable in all areas of 'whiteboard' technologies. I am happy with their plans and will be upgrading soon as needed :)
  • Allow for all to participate, regardless of issues that may arise. IE, if the voice is an issue, there are alternatives that are sure to work (like using a phone) or chat.
  • Quality is always very good.
  • All aspects of a white board are available.
  • The name Cisco adds assurance to a person like me (IT).
  • Automatically and more easily help switch folks to a voice sound system, when one fails. This is especially true for 'common users'. If this is an issue with me, someone with nearly 40 years of IT experience, it must be a nightmare for those with none. Especially when you *think* everything is set up the day of the meeting/work, and it's...not :(
  • Easier API for devs like myself so we can faster achieve the ideas I've listed.
  • More and better 3rd party integration of software (saas, apps, etc.).
Webex Meetings is suited for ALL situations where either a live meeting is needed or one where one cannot attend in person. Webex Meetings would only be 'not appropriate', well, when it wouldn't be ;)

  • quite a bit.. I'd say approaching %100 of consulting meetings.
  • In the future, should we continue to use Webex Meetings, I'd say over %100 ;)
We will continue to review other products occasionally as well as in house api's.. just to keep everyone honest ;)
There are still areas where bandwidth is an issue.. and even in populated cities, simple things like lousy wifi or being 'too high' up in a building to receive good cellular. So, low bandwidth (data compression) is still a technology that should be emphasized and worked on/with.
We've not worked a lot in this particular area with our own products (in house), but plan on utilizing Webex API in the near future.
Considering the volume Webex has (clients) they are superb.
All these things are great benefits that would cost too much to implement in house at this time.
Cisco routers with voip and WIFI enable routing (internet service).
Webex does all but the coffee ;)

Because your ui is quite user friendly :)
It seems just right.. but maybe needs more tweaking (or allow the user to tweak) certain module aspects.
No except keep up the good work.. remember the competitors are watching! ;)
No - we have not done any customization to the interface
No - we have not done any custom code
We will be working with your API (and devs) to come to some sort of improvements over the near future :)
We've always gotten support, even tho we've rarely required it. Your product is very stable and our staff has found it easy to either look up docs when necessary, or call on your help desk.
We will in the future as we delve into you API more.

It would be a 10 except we have not fully started working at this level (api and such)..
Not to go over board nor rush (nor stall) on newer popular tec like webhooks and such. But take little bits at a time on small projects, and build it from there.
Well we haven't actually worked with neither vendor nor your sales yet, as we are still waiting to start a new project which will entail having to purchase more bandwidth and such.
