We use to submit our credit card claims via excel which was a very manual and time consuming task. We would have to code each transaction and then attach the receipts. We would then have to manually email over the excel file to the approver for them to sign and once they signed they would have to email the file over to finance.

We have in the past used printed claim documents and staff would fill them out and attach physical copies of receipts to them. We would then have to chase physical signatures from the managers and directors before processing them, so this is our first proper expenses system.

Previous to Webexpenses I have used just an Excel sheet, this had its own obvious disadvantages and manual requirements. In comparison to this Webexpenses is straightforward and easy, saving time and costs.

The ease of use of the platform has been the biggest benefit of this system. We didn't need to provide any structured training to our staff, we just sent out the link and people were able to intuitively use the platform. Other competitors were harder to navigate and to use.

Previously expense reports were done manually, which was very time consuming and inefficient. We had to save all our receipts and at the end of the month, tape each receipt to a piece of paper. Afterwards we summarized our expenses on in excel, printed it out and turn in a stack of paper reports for verification and approval. With Webexpenses, I am able to record my milage and upload a photo of my receipts on the same day or even use my cellular phone to upload my receipts. At the end of the month, all the expenses are ready and submission is just a click away.

Many companies have had their own internal systems created by their own depts, some were very basic. Webexpenses is more efficient and includes a lot more useful features than any system I have used in the past. I would say that Concur is about 'as good' but certainly no better than Webexpenses.

I much prefer Web Expenses to Concur. Although one functionality that Concur had, a user could email their receipts from the registered user email to Concur then these receipts would be available for the user add to their expense claim.
