I am a reseller of Webroot Endpoint Protection. I have over 150 endpoints being used by my customers currently. It has been implemented to a majority of my customers to address protecting their workstations from virus, ransomware, and malware attacks. We also use the web filtering feature to guide end-users to safe and trusted websites.
  • Web filtering
  • Blocking malware
  • Firewall protection
  • Installation and configuration
  • Not so easy to add exclusion or exception.
  • Not easy to turn off a managed workstation to install software that it thinks is an issue.
  • A bit more user friendly.
I have only used Endpoint Protection in small to medium businesses and for residential home users. I have not had any experience with larger corporations. Thus far, my experience has been a positive one. Their tech support, which I have called upon several times, has been quite efficient in solving my issue.

  • My ROI is very high with the use of Webroot.
  • Customer's love the fact that I am always made aware of threats.
  • The self remediation feature is a positive force as well.
Webroot is very lightweight to install and does not slow up your computer.

The tech support team for Webroot has always been there when I needed. You submit a ticket either by phone or written and the solution is always forthcoming.

Like I said before, sometimes I can't find what I need to change a setting.

Helac Corp. uses Webroot to protect distributed systems within our enterprise. We have a remote sales team located across the United States and Europe. Keeping all endpoints virus and malware free is critical to our daily operation. Webroot's cloud updating means that our endpoints are always kept up-to-date to ensure we are protected.
  • Cloud-based client updates, client computers are always up-to-date
  • Single pane administration, provides quick client remediation when malware or a virus is detected.
  • Cloud-based defense provides a much better defense for zero-day exploits than traditional A/V solutions.
  • more notification when a client is not updating or connecting to the console
  • Manual remediation is required after being notified of malware or virus.
It is suitable for remote sales users who do not frequently connect to the corporate domain. Webroot updates are available as soon as the client connects to the internet.
  • Positive ROI. We replaced McAfee with Webroot at Helac Corp. Webroot is vastly superior to McAfee for ease of management and policy creation/deployment. McAfee required a lot of manual work and was not very reliable, Webroot is the exact opposite.
  • After deploying Webroot; its simple administration and management requires us to spend less time administering/remediating client computers, so we can spend time working on business critical projects.
  • Reliability and confidence for users travelling the world, having Webroot's cloud-based updating keeps our systems safe so we can focus on doing business.
We looked at Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Norton. Webroot is usually No.1 or 2 based on ratings and user reviews/feedback. Easy to deploy and managability were also key to choosing Webroot.
It has proven successful so far in our environment for controlling malware/virus outbreaks.
