We use it to sell our souvenirs to a wider range of well-wishers. We use it to set up commerce pages on our website.
  • Ability to set up commerce pages with few clicks.
  • Features for multiple price, discounts, product description, etc. is what I liked.
  • Easy to use data collection.
  • More variety in free templates.
If you are looking for a no-nonsense, straightforward, intuitive software for setting up commerce in your webpage, then this is the best.

  • I have used WooCommerce for our website and it has worked for us.
  • It helped us retain visitors to our site.
  • Saved us cost on 3rd-party commission fees for commerce.
I have used WooCommerce longer than other products that I have tried. WooCommerce fits my requirements mainly for the value it offers based on the features available for the cost.
  • Setting up is straightforward
  • Customization of some features
Yes, but I don't use it
Has worked for me even though I'm not technical per se.

We use WooCommerce for our ecommerce website. We use Wordpress to publish information on our company and products and WooCommerce to sell computer hardware an accessories. WooCommerce is easy to use and alllows us to manage our webite without having to hire expensive outside consultants which we had to do with our prior website that used the Manento ecommerce platform.
  • Simple product listing
  • Lots of payment options
  • Easy to use
  • Too many updates - Seems like there is always a pending update
  • Better image management
  • I wish it had more native shipment management functionality
Really great for small businesses that cannot afford an outside IT professional. We used to use Magento, but it was so complex and difficult to change unless you hired an outside consultant. So glad that we switched.

  • Great return on investment. Our costs went down and our revenue went up.
We previously used Magento, which was huge overlill for business our size. Magento was way to difficult to set-up and modify. You need to be a systems engineer to set up and an HTML programmer to modify. We are much happier with Wordpress/WooCommerce.

I use WooCommerce to build smaller, basic websites for bands, small stores, etc. It is being used mainly to sell shirts, cds, digital downloads, and other merchandise items. I haven't ever exceeded 50 items, but usually use it for around 5-15 items, on a normal site build for my regular clientele.
  • Easy implementation. Works straight out of the box.
  • Simple for clients to use. Very intuitive design for non-developers.
  • Comes with responsive design, involves little customization.
  • Is a pain to customize. It's good to just be able to pop it in a site, but you have to hack into the CSS to customize it, and use lots of important tags.
  • Anything besides basic use cost more. A LOT more.
  • Some issues with payment gateways, which means you have to find a temporary hack or BUY yet another product.
WooCommerce is well suited for developers. This is great for simple clients who do not want a lot of customization and just need to sell items immediately. This is not great for a site that is mainly for commerce. It can sell a couple of basic items, but anything else is a pain to make work.

  • Fast set up, less time spent putting a store together to sell small amount of items.
  • Easy for clients to use. Less client training or need for me to update.
  • Good at letting you know items are out of stock.
I haven't used anything else, so I cannot comment too much on this. I use PayPal for single items instead of implementing WooCommerce, so I guess that's easy, but not great for non-developers (i.e. the client) to update. WooCommerce is a simple, very intuitive content management system for the client to use.
  • Immediate implementation of the store.
  • Sizing variations are simple.
  • Responsive design works perfectly from right out of the box.
  • Adding anything that isn't already a feature without buying an upgrade.
  • Coupons are a real pain. You have to hack around and use free plugins.
  • Payment gateways can throw a lot of errors unless you pay for the WooCommerce official one.
Yes
It works great. This is one of the main features of WooCommerce that I would recommend. It is simple to implement all of WooCommerce and then it's just BAM, mobile. Really useful if you aren't a developer. Though it doesn't give developers much wiggle room to play with the CSS without having to really hack into the files.
I gave it lots of points for being a simple product that instantly gives you a store. Very intuitive and simple for the client to update or implement. Loses LOTS of points when you want to do anything besides just sell stuff (coupons, etc) then it makes you pay big money for the add-ons and makes it difficult and time-intensive to develop your own.
