What is WorkBright?

For businesses that are rapidly, seasonally, or just plain constantly hiring, WorkBright aims to take the cumbersome and traditionally paper-heavy process of onboarding and puts it all online.

They make it possible for new employees to fill out their W4s, upload photos of licenses and certifications, sign digitally, and complete any paperwork from their laptop, tablet, or smartphone before they show up for their first day on the job. It helps the Human resource team in the following ways:
1. It helps with all new employee onboarding documentation using a smart phone
2. For Mass hiring process, you can still work with a lean HR team
3. All the hiring forms are getting a digital makeover and easy to use Forms
4. Hassle free and hundred percent compliant process

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

For starters, WorkBright works in organizations as software that eliminates all the bureaucracy of hiring. With it, it is possible to carry out the entire process of hiring an employee completely digitally. From registration to delivery of all documentation. In times of pandemic, we can bring in new employees by eliminating steps such as handing over documents, going to a stationery store to make copies of documents, and all that bureaucratic part.

Pros and Cons

  • Being able to share candidate information with other supervisors or team members and others involved in the hiring process.
  • The convenience of filling in new employee hiring forms.
  • Create groups, organize all paperwork and send to employees with just one click.
  • I find it super interesting that the software forwards our ads to the main employment pages.
  • When we assign a form to a group, the system sends it to all members and this hurts a little when we only want new employees to fill it out. I think they can insert some filtering function to decide who, within a group, will receive the forms.
  • I think the system doesn't need to crash due to inactivity. If you spend a few moments using another tool, when you return to the WB, it will have disconnected.

Likelihood to Recommend

As I said before, it's super interesting for me to be able to group and send forms to group members with just one click, but I still think we could filter who we want to send to within a certain group. For example, if there are 10 people in the employee group and 5 are new... if I submit a new contributor form, everyone in the group will receive it. I believe there may be a filter in which we can choose for whoever arrives.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Well, within the research, I will call the software WB, and to explain how it has been useful: It has worked to eliminate all bureaucracy in the hiring process within the organization. It brings practicality and since 2020 it has been very useful in caring for the health of our new employees. Thus, we can contract without any physical contact and avoid any risk of contamination from the pandemic.

Likelihood to Recommend

The main point suitable for the WB is the scanning of all documents. We can save a lot of time in each of the processes, and digital contracting is much easier. Upload all documents and send them to the future employee who, in a few clicks, can sign them all and send them. However, as I said before, I believe we should receive notification as applicants finish filling out forms and signing documents.

The hiring and retention for our company were very disorganized and not time efficient. A lot of our processes were done manually and by paper so things were missed. We decided to use WorkBright to automate the hiring process as well as ensure compliance. Our forms have all been digitized and we are now able to use a dashboard for tracking as well as reporting metrics.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our company currently uses WorkBright to onboard all new team members. We use this software to review and organize all applications that come into our company, schedule interviews, communicate with applicants, and send/view all onboarding paperwork. It is great for staying organized for a company that receives 20-30 applications every week.

Pros and Cons

  • Reporting - Able to really narrow down insights.
  • Customization - Able to create different statuses within the software so that multiple people across our HR team can be involved with each applicant.
  • Integrations - Able to integrate with various other platforms/software.
  • Onboarding Paperwork - It would be great if there was only one website we had to log into. For example, I have to log into one to send paperwork, and then log into another domain to check the paperwork sent.
  • Note Timeline - Anytime any application is touched, viewed, etc. a note is made. We also utilize the note feature to communicate about each applicant. However, it gets quite messy when their are over 40 notes and you are not able to sort or organize them.
  • Attachments - Can't attach items in notes, would be nice feature for attaching images, snippets, pdfs, etc.

Likelihood to Recommend

WorkBright is great for companies that constantly receive a wide array of applications through the door. Especially for different types of positions across different parts of the country. It has been a great resource for helping our HR team stay organized as we continue to grow and see more applicants through the door every day.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use WorkBright for recruitment and onboarding for all employees, interns and volunteers. We post all openings through WorkBright to a list of job sites. Our career website includes a link to all openings on a WorkBright page. For onboarding, every new hire gets all information emailed to them and it is submitted and tracked through WorkBright. WorkBright also alerts us to safety certificate expiration dates.

Pros and Cons

  • The system is seamless from first contact to onboard.
  • Easily keep notes on prospective employees and prioritize them.
  • Ability to share information directly with other team supervisors/hiring managers.
  • Applicants seeking opportunities in multiple departments must have multiple applications active- this is especially confusing.
  • The company did not support our integration as much as we needed. We had to hire additional onboarding assistance.
  • WorkBright does not interface with our payroll software so there is a significant amount of duplicate work.

Likelihood to Recommend

Once implemented, WorkBright is useful and intuitive for recruitment and onboarding. It simply does a lot of the thinking and work for you. We have a centralized corporate office with 4 separate centers and WorkBright easily handles tracking info by center or by position. We struggled with this system because we did not have clearly separated branches and departments prior to implementation, if multiple people manage multiple things or co-manage, be sure to define the roles in the system.
