Companies can't remove reviews or game the system. Here's why

Workday Adaptive Planning's design is fairly straight forward however, for Procurement as an analytic tool is not quit robust enough and needs to be used in concert with other tools. From Procurement's perspective as a financial planning tool, this needs to be taken into consideration as it is no panacea. no where near it.

Workday Adaptive Planning is overall very versatile and easy to use. The formula writing and syntax takes some getting used to but if you are intentional about how the system is set up then learning how to read and digest complex formulas can be straightforward. It’s also easy to navigate the system through sheets and assumptions, some systems aren’t that way.

Excel integration is exactly as advertised. The seamless integration to the general ledger is really helpful in creating cost center and company level forecasts. The planning team loves the tie in to Excel for day-to-day use. however, it's still very much Adaptive...you can't just drop an Excel power user into the doc and let them work. The learning curve from Adaptive still applies.

It is overwhelming at first, but once you really get to know it, you realize it is fairly simple and customizable, and then it has a lot more limitations than you first thought. Realizing those limitations and finding workarounds is when you know you've mastered the software.

My rating of 9 is really a composite of two ratings. For the users, I would give it a 10. But for administrators, I would give it more of an 8. That is because there is definitely a learning curve for the admins. It has a fair level of complexity (which is necessary), especially in the formulas and certain types of sheets. It is a product worth mastering, but it does take time to learn.

Excel user will have an easier time with it. It is intuitive and user friendly. There is always room for improving but overall my experience has been very positive. I have used excel for many years now and taken several courses, I feel like all of that has helped me to better utilise the platform.

It is very intuitive, does not require any formal training and is easy to use for any new user. It allows dashboard style view of all metrics and pivot tables to add or remove any metric. One can create new custom metrics and do not need to add any code for it and automatically get it calculated through AI and ML algorithms. Overall, its usability is well defined and easy.

Adaptive Planning is sheet based just like Excel, meaning that anyone who is proficient in using excel can be trained easily using Adaptive Planning. One of my favorite features is that you can utilize the different sheet and dimension templates from Adaptive Planning to export to excel, and then import the sheet relatively easily.

I think that the budgeting side is easy and nobody in the company had any issues with entering in budgets or being able to find their budget after the fact or their actuals. The issue I have is it isn't not as easy to create reports and custom accounts for very specific charts and reports.

For a standard user, the product is very easy to follow. From an implementation or administrative perspective, due to the products flexibility, it is, or at least can be, very complicated to set up. Thankfully, the support staff that is available to assist (or to actually do the work) is top shelf.

The interface is fine but the capabilities are to limited and state of the art is not excel like but similar to this survey with sliding scales for weighting, drop and drag for data elements, etc.

Workday Adaptive Planning is a very clean and user-friendly system. A typical user can likely navigate the system with little to no training. The overall navigation is easy to use; however, there is additional time needed from the team in order to understand how to build new models and maintain the system.

Workday Adaptive Planning is directed to any company that wants to improve its productive yields--taking into account the clear training that must be had to achieve the correct coupling of the software with our data center--and to be able to obtain the greatest possible benefits.
