Workday Human Capital Management has been an excellent tool for our organization. It has great features that help employees do their jobs efficiently and effectively. It is easy to use and track employee compensation, benefits, time off, and performances. Easy to update and track changes. Can easily generate reports to keep track of information and changes.

After some initial challenges with change management, Georgetown has been successfully using Workday for over two years. We will go live this year with Financials replacing our current highly customized Peoplesoft Financials system. We have high confidence in a successful financials implementation and have been very pleased with Workday's responsiveness and adaptability to the needs of higher education.

We are absolutely committed to using Workday moving forward. While we are only using some of the features Workday has to offer, we already have rollout plans and the intention to use more systems (time tracking, integrated payroll, etc.) in the near future that will help us leverage the true potential of the system more fully.

The subscription-based model makes it easy to renew as well as stay on the latest and greatest update. Workday is constantly improving the features and really takes the opinions and feedback from the customers to heart. Workday has ranked as a Leader in the Forrester Wave SaaS HR Management Systems (latest Q4 2014) and continues to impress with their growth and increased revenue year over year.

I have no say in which system we utilize. The company has been using it for about three years now so I doubt we'd switch systems anytime soon. I expect as time goes on, I'll find that it's easier and easier to like it than I currently do. They continue to update the product so it will be interesting to see its capabilities in the coming years.

We have dubbed Workday the 'Georgetown Management System' or GMS for short. I expect Workday will be around for quite some time to come. I hope that we can continue our partnership with them to build a great product that will continue to serve higher education as well as the commercial space.

It is work to make one system the source of truth for our data, but now that it is done, there is less work involved in staying on this path. This means for us that maintaining and/or implementing new modules like performance, finance, talent, etc. is simple. It's a no-brainer.

Currently budget and reality are what makes me rate this a 9. We have invested so much into Workday and have customized and continue to customize our needs into a product that for right now, does seem to meet our company's needs. I don't know if we would need such a robust system for a company smaller than 500 employees but certainly for over 1,000.

We have made such a huge investment. Knowing what I know now, I would rate the probability of me choosing the same system today 5/10, now knowing the expense and the amount of time required. I would warn my stakeholders more about that. We don’t have the people we need (amount wise). We hired someone, but then lost someone. We met with another Workday user who has a huge team – 15 people dedicated to Workday. They also worked directly with Workday vs. a reseller. Their experience was much better. They have also had the system for long time, which means they are more used to it.
