WorkWave Route Manager has been widely used by small to medium-sized service businesses as a basic tool for creating routes. Users have reported that the software has been helpful in managing resources and improving labor planning by addressing double routes and timing. Despite some initial frustrations with the lack of improvements, users have generally had positive experiences with the software, finding it intuitive and free of glitches or bugs. The knowledgeable support system has provided timely assistance when needed, and the training documents on the website have proven beneficial in getting familiar with the software. By significantly reducing routing time by up to 2 hours or more, WorkWave has demonstrated its ability to streamline operations and generate time savings for users. Technical support has been great, offering quick and simple solutions to user queries. While users have found webinars and site information excellent, they suggest that downloadable training videos would be valuable for internal training purposes. It is worth noting that the cost of the software may increase as more vehicles are added to the fleet.

One standout use case of WorkWave Route Manager is its ability to dramatically increase efficiency for users, allowing for denser routes and successful launches of new stores. By saving users 8+ hours per week, this software generates significant time savings for businesses. Users also appreciate the timely replies they receive from customer support. With its ease of use and effectiveness, WorkWave has become a crucial tool for daily operations, providing detailed and easy-to-reference routes that improve delivery accuracy. Additionally, WorkWave's optimization algorithms have helped users reduce the number of routes used for shipments by 30%. However, some users have had negative experiences with unhelpful account representatives and misinformation. Overall, WorkWave Route Manager optimizes delivery processes by cutting truck delivery time in half, preventing overcommitment to customers, streamlining systems through efficient route creation, and facilitating easy transfer of information to drivers. It is considered a cost-effective solution for efficient routing and GPS tracking of vehicles, with users reporting month-over-month savings compared to previous systems.

Transition to web-based system: Many users appreciate the transition from a paper-route system to an online web-based solution, as it allows them to monitor drivers' progress from anywhere with an internet connection. This has been mentioned by numerous reviewers who find this feature highly beneficial for their business operations.

Easy route management and customization: Users find it easy to provide drivers with all relevant information along with their route, and they appreciate the ability to make changes to a route, such as adding or deleting a delivery, using the drag & drop feature. We use WorkWave Route Manager to route our deliveries to our retail partners. We deliver multiple racks to local garden centers. With WorkWave we can route all our orders as efficiently as possible. Their notification system is really nice as well. We are able to let our customers know when we get close to their location.
  • Allows for quick imports of orders.
  • Notifications for customers.
  • Customization of truck variables.
  • Historic export of orders.
WorkWave Route Manager is good for companies that are planning routes with multiple stops and multiple trucks. If your company is using whole truckloads to single locations, then WorkWave is not as helpful.
  • Customer notification
  • Quick imports and changes
  • Reduced miles driven.
  • Improved customer communication.
WorkWave allowed us to plan multiple days at a time.

We use it to route our delivery trucks for deliveries. We have variable delivery routes as we don't go to the same places and WorkWave has been the best fit for or type of industry. We have 4 locations and we are able to use it to schedule for each location.
  • The variability of the routes.
  • Able to put constraints on loads so we aren't overweight.
  • Be able to let customer know approximate delivery time.
  • The mapping. Some of the new neighborhoods take a while to get added in mapping.
  • Some of the times between the different locations are incorrect. The Keys it takes 4 hours to get there but Workwave says 3 hours we have to account for those inconsistencies.
If you aren't doing the same route every day and you have to do a customized route daily this is the program for you.
  • Variability
  • Estimated delivery times
  • Constraints you can put on loads.
  • Confidence we will be DOT compliant.
  • Able to plan our drivers days to a tee.
  • Able to see cost difference in cost in different route changes.
The other programs we tried were for UPS that had constant routes. They didn't work for us and were not very user-friendly.
