The data we can pull tells us if our plans are working. We can pull data easily when running test plans and provide it to sales leadership so they can modify the programs. We can quickly implement changes and spiffs if needed.

With more visibility into the process through reporting, employees are better able to understand components of their compensation plans and then suggest improvements that incentivize them more to improve company financials. With the reporting, management can better tailor future plans to their objectives. Specifically, they can better see where the commission money is being spent and change future plans to drive better performance.

Modeling and comparing the impacts of the changes before actually making changes. We use the benchmarking as to compare where we are placed in relation to the similar sized companies (by employees) and by revenue), and in relation to variable compensation of similar industry.

I'm not part of the team that handles this side of the plan management. However, I do know the data is reported monthly to review the overall performance of the various teams. It is based on these findings that forecasting is based, and our planning and ops teams determine if/where plan adjustments are needed for the future.

Currently we are not using benchmarking data. Because the analytics tool is not so user friendly, most easy reports are done in Analytics and then downloaded to improve them.

Currently we are not utilizing benchmarking of data. Our sales associates are compensated on a percentage of gross profit. The custom programming done within Delta accommodates all of our split assignment needs.

We provide analytics dashboards and to our executives who consume the data in order to make business decisions. We are able to use aggregate data to check how we pay our sales team versus how the industry does. We are able to quickly estimate commissions spend and provide our finance team an better accrual estimate.

At the beginning of each period, we complete an audit to ensure all our products that were finalized within our system, appear in Xactly! When we first started using Xactly Intent, we had issues with the last date of the month not being captured in Xactly Intent and being counted for the following month. We reached out to our PM and quick action was taken to rectify this matter!
