We use CSRconnect cross the company to log volunteer hours, post volunteer opportunities, and collect donations. We also use the back end to pull our reports and provide statistics to our Board of Directors. We now use the platform to poll our employees and post disaster pages, as well.

  • The photo display is challenging. The size restrictions are quite odd, so a photo may display well on the homepage, but clicking on it strongly distorts the photo on the next page. This causes a major limitation in the photos that may be selected.
CSRConnect is great for organizations who do not have a Foundation and are looking for a platform that will facilitate giving.
  • Challenges with integration have caused running reports to become more difficult.
The system has quirks that are not easily overcome, but if you are not adding much customization and are starting fresh, then it is very usable.
Our account manager is very kind and does her best to touch base on a weekly basis, but issues take an extreme amount of time to resolve.
The implementation of CSRconnect takes way, way too long. Having to take down your entire CSR site for weeks, if not months, is an issue. Issues still arise from the implementation in terms of ensuring that reports and statistics on active users are pulling properly, as well as the transfer of information from one system to another. Some of this is definitely to be expected, as transferring this much information is a challenge. However, I would hope that issues would have been resolved by now.

It is utilized 'across' the organization but has limits in our global offices. It addresses the need to holistically track volunteer hours as well as the ability to track and match employee giving.
  • The user experience has increased exponentially in the time we have implemented here at Principal. Each iteration makes it easier for our employees to use. Creating events is one of the strengths that immediately come to mind. With a few tweaks it is the most intuitive and simple of most of the components of the CSR side.
  • Date/calendar feature is rough - it automatically puts in a year out so you have to correct that and the time zone needs to automatically populate as it's a huge list that confuses most people.
  • The search feature overall - not intuitive and clunky and usually inaccurate - needs to be fine tuned as well as broadened to include everything associated with a particular event or user - having said that they have made great improvements in this in the recent future so that's something to be grateful for.
Well suited - creating volunteer events, offline matching
Less appropriate - little tactical UX things being improved to today's standards would make a big difference i.e. the calendar feature pushes things out a year and you have to click 12 times to get it back and the time zone choices are confusing to most of our US users.

I wasn't involved in the decision to go with Your Cause but I came on as the implementation was happening. It was clunky at best but that was mostly due to our previous account rep not being in a role that suited his talents along with YC being new and us being a very large global company with lots of IT/HR challenges.

We (my Foundation team member and myself) have a huge passion for the work we do and I truly believe that's one of the most important skills to have when working in our area. We are both long time employees who want to make it as easy as possible for our employees to volunteer/give as well as record their hours and earn money for their charities.

CSRconnect is being used across our entire organization at TD Ameritrade. From employees at branches to our C-Suite Executives, the platform is leveraged as our place to go for all things community involvement, which includes: volunteerism, matching gifts, dollars for doers and local community grants programs. In the past, we had to track everything mannually, CSRconnect has been a lifesaver in terms of pulling reports, tracking metrics, and being a one-stop-shop for our employees to review their personal giving year over year.
  • Metrics tracking -- CSRconnect makes it so easy to track metrics, especially in terms of volunteerism. You can easily visit the back office and pull any details on your company's volunteer metrics.
  • Reporting -- CSRconnect has great reporting functionality built right into the back office! Super easy to use and very accessible.
  • Giving -- CSRconnect makes it super easy to find a nonprofit and make a donation to the charity of your choice.
  • One thing CSRconnect could do better with is having more functionality surrounding Corporate Social Responsibility (i.e., ESG, Environmental opportunities, etc.). I know Benevity's platform has more to offer in that space.
CSRconnect is great for all things volunteerism, company match programs and dollars for doers programs. I love the functionality of the website and how customizable the platform is for those who manage it. I also love how it gives each employee a snapshot of their activity to date. Such a great platform!

We ran into a few minor bumps, but overall I am very satisdied with the implementation of CSRconnect.

It seems that CSRconnect is well suited for the giving area of our company. Volunteering could use some work.

The usability of CSRconnect is light years ahead of our last program and we are so thankful for this. Some of our employees get intimidated by using the computer so it is helpful when the site is user-friendly and welcoming for our employees. They are also easily able to find events in the portal.
Our account manager is wonderful and always willing to answer our emails or schedule calls to help us when we are confused. She has guided us through the transition and made it easier for our team to understand so in return we can train our employees. We are thankful for her.
We have experienced trouble with missing dates from the implementation. This has caused grief from our employees and we sometimes have to troubleshoot the issues. We are aware any time we have an integration this may happen and our account manager has been extremely helpful however, fewer glitches like this would have helped us in the long run.

It was a little challenging doing training on line i think in person may have been a little easier. we also did training before we had access to certain things so when the time came to use that training we had questions that came up that were not apart of the initial training.
It is user friendly, but navigating the back end helped with training. Training is never a bad thing to do when you have to train over 10000 employees on the system. There were things i was doing wrong that were fixed by simply clicking a different button so having the training in writing helped.

Our company needed reports fast for senior leadership and we had no access to this function on the back end. Our Account Manager worked with us to see what information we needed and was able to provide us with multiple reports in a timely manner so that we could move on with our daily operations.

We use CSRconnect to manage our employee giving and employee volunteering programs.
  • The look of CSRconnect is pleasant.
  • Things that seem simple, but have way too many steps in them
  • The picture ratios and the way that pictures are displayed are awful! Even if you use the recommended sizing, all pictures are stretched oddly and do not look nice. It is also frustrating that you cannot move or adjust a picture within the frame to make it look more appealing.
  • The search function is not intelligent when trying to find a charity.
  • The donation history is often wrong and many employees are confused about why totals do not match. The same goes for volunteering hours.
I think it would be better suited for a company that is smaller. Also for a company that is starting brand new and not integrating their data. We have had nothing but problems with the integration. It has been a nightmare and I do not see an end in sight.
  • It has caused issues with trying to troubleshoot all the various glitches and problems we have had.
It is easy to use but if there is an error or something is not working correctly, it does not tell you where the error is. The site will just simply not let you publish or move on and it can be very frustrating to try and find the problem, especially when it is something very minor.
Our account manager is very kind and responsive, but it seems when there are major issues, we don't ever get a solid answer or what/how to fix the issue. We have issues that have been assigned JIRA since we first transitioned to CSRconnect and they are continually pushed under the rug.
