What is Zoho Analytics?

Zoho Analytics is a self-service BI and analytics platform that enables users to analyze their business data and create insightful reports and dashboards to drive informed decision-making. The recent launch of Zoho Analytics 5.0 adds a data preparation tool.

It helps users create and share reports with no IT help, and is presented as a fit for enterprises because it exceeds all their data cleaning and analytics requirements on a single platform.

Zoho Analytics and DataPrep can be purchased as individual apps to supplement other systems, or together as a complete, natively integrated platform. Individually, Analytics provides a broad range of analytics and reporting capabilities, while DataPrep provides all the tools necessary to streamline the data preparation process in a large organization.

About Zoho's comprehensive Analytics platform:

  • Zoho DataPrep: An augmented self-service data preparation and pipeline service . Connects, models, cleanses, transforms, and enriches data for analytics.

Regarding working with large datasets Zoho Analytics can do very well, since there are multiple ways to connect to your data, from simple databases to large data warehouses. You can also create extractions and data manipulation with custom queries in SQL directly in the Zoho Analytics import process, without the need to ask the IT team to create a custom view in your DW just for you.

Since they have recently launched AI based analysis tool called Ask Zia which is the most innovative idea of Zoho and it is very useful for any dataset it will suggest more appropriate graphs, even it will make the dashboards on your datasets too. You don't have to spend too much time to make the dashboards just use Ask Zia and make the dashboards.

We've been very pleased with the scalability provided by Zoho Analytics. We recently increased our usage dramatically...going from 500,000 rows to a capacity of 50 million rows and it's working great. We've got hundreds of queries, charts, and dashboards and the system is holding up great.

Zoho Analytics has been designed properly into working with large datasets. It can also integrate several data sources, and perform AI based statistical analysis to increase product's overall scalability. What is required here is that the company or the firm should consider sharing the data on the same platform to get accurate results. The Zoho Analytics has wide range of charts and graphs, the data aggregation allows to represent them well manner. Also, it allow to customize the charts with various time range option. With all the above factors, the product scalable at own, even though customer has various datasets, it doesn't lower its performance.

I have used data tables with 10s of thousands of rows. In the age of big data, this is small but it's big for me. I haven't seen issues with the platform as I've increased the number of rows over time so it's hard to say what the upper limits would be.

Since my company is into B2B sales, we have used dataset which are not very large (typically dataset would be 10000 rows) and Zoho works fantastic with small datasets. Data ingestion and transformation is smooth too. I have not used any AI based statistical analysis and I am also not aware if Zoho uses AI techniques.

Because it does exactly what your description says. A beginner can create simple and basic reports and dashboards to satisfy their requirements. A user within a larger organizations or enterprise, or a user with a lot of data coming from a lot of sources, can also easily integrate all of it with Zoho Analytics to create more custom reports and dashboards and share them with their teams.

You can create custom report by connecting data from CRM, Inventory, books and other products to have better insight into your company’s operation. As our business grows progressively, we have been able to work with larger data sets with Zoho Analytics, and it has provided the right tools to do so, merging tables and duplicating different reports when needed, as well as customizing the reports with different data but maintaining the template. I think that this is a great feature that saves time.
