I use Zoom Events primarily to host virtual events for clients whose needs demand something more than "just a meeting or a webinar". Clients who have conference-like, multi-day, multi-session events see Zoom Events as an opportunity to "scale up" their event without huge expense. While Zoom Events can accommodate hybrid events, those come with a degree of complexity that can be expensive. Many of my clients are staying with annual virtual events or alternating onsite and virtual events, with some wanting to convert their small-scale onsite events to hybrid. I've used Zoom Events for groups as small as 50 and as large as 800 (an upcoming event will be 1,200+), and once you learn the event configuration process, any event is easy to configure -- once you have your event details down on paper or in spreadsheets. A lot of it can be imported with CSV with no hand data-entry.
  • Easy data entry using imported CSV files
  • Full speaker and session images and text, with individual itineraries for attendees.
  • Duplicate the structure and format of an existing event for your next event, or create an event template to easily replicate future events
  • Automated language caption translation on-the-fly for a growing list of languages
  • Like most Zoom products, Zoom Events is actively being improved and updated. The release cycle is monthly, which means event planners need to keep up with changes.
  • While Zoom Events also works for in-person only events, this will require a certain mind-set shift to work well for many organizations.
  • There is a core group of small business Zoom Events users who can provide help to new-comers, and an increasing number of helpful on-boarding resources, but Zoom Tier 1 support still starts out with the most pedantic questions; it's difficult to reach someone who can really help you with a difficult problem if you are not a large Zoom customer.
  • Professional Services is available from Zoom, but it the cost is out of reach of most small businesses and non-profit organizations.
If you're flexible and want the types of features that a virtual conference can provide, with a multi-day, multi-session format, Zoom Events can be a good fit. If you have "your way of doing things" and you're not willing to explore the Zoom Events product to get the full benefit, it might not be for you. If you're a $500M year company, pay for Zoom Events Professional Services and get a great event -- virtual or hybrid! If you're a small business or nonprofit, find a small Zoom Events producer to create your event for you, or a Zoom Events "navigator" to provide you the guidance you really need to do it on your own.

  • As a solo producer of Zoom Meetings, Webinars, and Events, the Zoom Events Pay Per Attendee (PPA) licensing plan allows me to provide custom virtual events for audiences of any size at a low cost per attendee. I've talked to many other "big event hosting" services, and so far none of them have what my clients want at a cost they can afford.
  • I have my own Zoom Events "Unlimited" license for up to 100 attendees. Unlimited licenses are only cost-effective if you host numerous events throughout the one-year license period. If you organization or client base is larger, the cost can seem prohibitive for small companies, and I've consulted with clients who were on the verge of "buying the wrong license" (in my opinion) without understanding the licensing limitations.
I've had limited contact with Whova and Hopin, but I've got clients who have looked at them in detail for events. After hearing my guidance on proper licensing of Zoom Events and training on Zoom Events editing and configuration, they've all been very pleased with going the Zoom Events route.
Zoom Events is complex, but gets "almost easy" with experience and good guidance. I tell people, "Hosting a meeting is like driving a car; hosting a webinar is like driving an 18-wheeler; and hosting a Zoom Event is like flying a commercial airliner." You need experience, training, and ongoing guidance to be good at Zoom Events. Zoom has staff that knows everything there is to know about Zoom Events, but finding them and reaching them isn't easy. There aren't many consultants out there that are affordable and experienced.
  • Basic configuration isn't that difficult, but there's still a learning curve that you can get through on your own, with time and reading a lot of online documentations.
  • More complex questions, like registration or license limitations, generally are answered in the "school of hard knocks" or with a lot of personal effort. Having the initiative to make a test event and try things out will help you immensely!
  • Zoom Events can be configured to do many things -- with "Zoom approval". Getting hold of the right person is extremely difficult. It took me almost 4 weeks to get the default 6-day event limit raised to 10 days for a single event.
Yes
There is nothing really mobile that applies to the Zoom Events editing and creation process; this is all done via the web browser. But the attendees use the regular Zoom client to attend Zoom Events, and this works incredibly well.

I used Zoom for online B2B Sales calls. Previously i was using Skype and local dialers to reach out clients. During COVID -19 moving from phone call to Zoom meetings totally changed my experienced. In my opinion, it is user friendly and increased my conversion rate. I also used it for internal team meetings and was a great experience so far. Managing virtual team, chat rooms, screen sharing and easily joinable from browser with a single link made it a favorite platform.
  • User Friendly
  • Screen sharing
  • Free video Recording
  • Calendar invites and follow-ups
  • It is difficult to use Zoom for low band width connection.
  • One hour bracket for free user should be increased
  • Mobile browser view is difficult to join
Best platform for Online Sales Meeting
Internal Team Meeting can easily be conducted if a resource is on work from home
Presentations can efficiently done through Screen Sharing
Webinars can be organized
It can easily be integrated with different platforms like Upwork
It is very easy to Sign Up and manage it.

  • Over for big webinars. It has proved to be good ROI
  • I was able to increase conversion rate because of Zoom meetings
  • Kept me organized
I started using Zoom after COVID-19 and was a great experience in comparison to Skype. It helps a user to easily add any prospect client or team member anywhere around the globe through a single link from browser without a chat invite
In comparison to Google Meet you can record meetings in Zoom
Sales through Marketing Platforms
Sales Experts use it for client pitching calls
Virtual Assistants are daily connected with clients to update them about the stores via Zoom meetings
Marketing Experts including Google Ads, Social Media Ad Experts and SEO Experts
All these team members have client meeting at least twice in a week and they use Zoom or either Skype for video calls and update on the project progress
  • Screen Sharing
  • Meeting Recording
  • Calendar Integration
  • Webinars in past organization
  • Team Meetings
  • Daily attendance for remote resources
  • Integrate it with our CRM
  • Cloud Server for Meeting Recordings
  • Auto appointment synchronization through platforms like Fiverr
Zoom's existing functionalities are already addressing most of my needs that why i might not renew it. In future i might suggest my company for a paid plan of Zoom to avoid the trial bracket for 1 hour. All other features are up to the mark and fulfill my requirements for the meetings
Yes
Skype We replaced Skype for online meetings because joining process for online meeting is comparatively very easy for Zoom. A single link can help you connect anywhere around the globe. Meeting recording is another important factor that helps me because i don't have install any relevant software for meeting recording separately.
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
I started using Zoom after Covid-19 and it helped me a lot in client meeting and Sales Closing. Prior my efforts were limited to Skype and Dialer Calls. Zoom helped me improve my interactions with the clients. Email Synchronization was a feature that helped me organize myself for meetings and correspondence.
Nowadays easy integrations with different freelance platforms like Upwork, Fiverr and Calendly give an edge to any communication platform. Since Zoom is integrated with Upwork so i attend all my meetings on Upwork by Zoom. All integrated platforms has an edge to use that specific platform.
Future AI can also help to improve Zoom integrate for many plausible applications
  • Implemented in-house
Change management was a major issue with the implementation
  • People were not used to daily Virtual Meetings
  • People had joining issues and voice lags due to microphones
  • People joining from system had to purchase separate web cameras
Implementation was very feasible during our initial usage of the Zoom after COVID-19.
No
Just like i mentioned earlier Zoom provided me exceptional support in my closings after the Covid-19. Due to COVID I prioritized all my meeting via Zoom and it was very easy to adopt and operate Zoom software. Joining and organizing the meeting via Zoom was very user friendly and i enjoyed it.
  • Meeting Recording
  • Usability any one can join using a single link
  • Screen sharing
  • Background change
  • Faced Connectivity issues sometimes couldn't fix that
  • Joining meeting through mobile browser
  • Using it without a mobile App on Phone
Yes, but I don't use it
This is one of the strongest point i choose Zoom because it is easy to use and someone who is not used to technology can also operate it at hand. i interacted with many startups throughout my tenure of working on Zoom they easily adopted it usability functions and were satisfied by its performance.

We use Zoom meetings for all individual, team, and company-wide meetings that require bringing together employees, customers, vendors, etc. in different locations. I use Zoom daily as one of the many remote employees. All employees across the various countries in which we operate use Zoom, it is the recommended form of communication by our employer for all calls when possible.
  • High-quality sound and video.
  • Great mobile app for dialing in for video and or audio calls as needed.
  • Chat feature for larger scale calls to help manage questions and reducing talking over each other.
  • Individuals cannot turn on the feature to mute audio or video upon meeting entry, only the meeting organizer can change these settings.
  • We have had issues with larger meetings in which some participants are unable to enter, no resolution for the issue right now.
  • The sound in rooms can sometimes default to a high volume regardless of the volume left from the previous call.
It works well for medium to large companies that have employees distributed globally. We have noticed a significant reduction in long distance and international call expenses once the recommendation and enforcement to use Zoom for calls as often as possible went into effect. Overall, video meetings allow remote employees a more personal experience during conference calls than a traditional audio-only call would provide.

  • Definitely has saved on long distance and international calling charges we previously incurred.
  • Improved collaboration due to the more personal setting the video conferencing provides.
  • Ability to interview candidates in other locations and not flying into headquarters until later rounds of the interview process has saved the company on travel expenses.
We used BlueJeans for years and Zoom offered a better corporate pricing and support model in addition to addressing a few issues we had with BlueJeans in regards to the larger scale and private, confidential events that need to be held virtually. Overall, Zoom was able to fulfill the needs of a rapidly growing global corporation looking to keep employees all around the world as connected as possible.

BlueJeans, needed more robust and reliable system to handle large scale events as well as day to day meeting needs.
  • adding a meeting login to Google Calendar
  • recording sessions
  • sharing screens
  • chat function during calls
  • figuring out how to turn off auto video and audio upon meeting entry
  • some settings were hard to locate to change
